A quiet parking area just up from the beach. It’s on a bit of a slope so you’ll sleep on a slant but it’s quiet and pretty.

Really nice spot to spend the night. There were a couple locals walking their dogs but I was otherwise alone and unbothered all night. Make sure you park in the gravel and not on the beach- the tide comes right up the the edge of the grass and the beach disappears!

Beautiful camp spot where a stream meets the river. Virtually invisible from the road.A good track leads down on the river side of the valley just before (going east) a power pylon.

Pulled in here after driving from Utah.. First stop, I treated myself to dinner in town at Village Grill - super affordable, great service, and good food. Initial plan was to park in the Loves Truck Stop but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Too hot and too early in the day to just sit there. Found myself at the lake. You have to operate a not so intuitive kiosk system in order to enter the park. They list the open sites on a white board. So, you pay without really seeing what you’re in for. $35 for a dry site. Not cheap, but there’s shade, a nice breeze & a view of the lake. (Pic from site #27)

Hello,

The site marked here is located on privately owned conservation land, which forms a part of the Columbia Wetlands National Wildlife Area. To protect the sensitive ecological values that it was secured for, camping is not permitted at this location.

I have reported this previously, at which time the site was marked as 'permanently closed', but it is once again appearing on the map as a recommended campsite. I see that some other locations, where camping occurred in the past but is not allowed, have a red icon and an indication that camping is illegal. I hope that the map can be updated to reflect this, so that it does not continue to be added as a site.

Big white open area lots of campers. But well spaced. So a beautiful sunset have some freeway noise. But that does not bother me at all.

Camp site for one tent (perhaps two), ground not very flat. Easy access. Good 4G. Lot of small flies. In front of the sun on the morning. Toilets at the ferry. There are other spots for hikers. Leave the place clean!

Stoped at the first pull out along the gravel road. It was easy to come here with our 2WD 25ft. RV in dry conditions - gravel road is well maintained, so would come here also in wet conditions.
0 to 1 Bar T-Mobile reception.
Stayed in this pull out together with a van - no problem, enough space, even for one more vehicle. No amenities whatsoever. Very quiet. Would stay here again.

Still a beautiful place to spend the day (costs 20 Real) or to camp (costs 35 Real, you don't have to pay the 20 Real for day use). Crystal clear river and lots of trees that provide shade. There is WiFi and a small bar. The bathrooms are very basic and have probably seen better days, but hey, you can cool off in a prime location.
