You can hear a little noise from the highway. No to little mosquitoes. A lot of space to explore and camp. Great view of the mountains.

Campsites on both sides of the Forestry Trunk Road, just north of the bridge. The road is dusty when dry. Little to moderate traffic during the day; no traffic at night. Well established fire rings. Babbling brook sounds to sleep by.

Fairly large parking lot with several RVs, trailers and cars. Right in the middle of town. Good 4g coverage.
3 minutes to the National park West gate.

RV Park and Cabins located near downtown in a quiet area near Chipeta Lake in Montrose, CO. If you need to dump tanks and fill your fresh water supply after Boondocking in beautiful Colorado this is a good overnighting park. It’s a bit pricy at over $50.00 per night. New owner and management eager to please.

Pullout by the gate was occupied so we decided to go down the road to the left before the gate. We found another pullout on the right side of the road a short ways down. The ground was very rouch for tent camping but there were some nice views and Verizon and AT&T phone service. Heard many coyotes in the surrounding fields at night and in the morning.

We were considering camping here, but there is absolutely no service. We were able to back in our 42' fifth wheel with plenty of room for a 38' Class C in front of us. You will only be able to back in coming from the South. This site is gravel and it appears it was made to put in a culvert. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but wanted people to know about it. We drove the entire length of 342 with our 5th wheel and didn't have any issues. The GPS coordinates are 43°36'17.6"N 103°30'37.7"W (43.604901, -103.510471)

This is a well traveled area and the parking lot was nearly full when we visited on 5/31/20. There is a sign that states no vehicles with trailers over 24'. You could probably get a 40' motor home in here, but it would not be fun if the lot was full. There are pit toilets and a lot of cool trails and places to climb.

Plenty of sites, many near the creek. Hills nearby are beautiful. Rock fire rings at each site. Probably 15 spots total. Tent camped on a Sundag night in May and got the last one. Seems very popular with locals.

We asked or we can sleep here. They said yes. At 1 security came and told us if we want to stay later then 5 we have to pay a ticket of 100 Pesos. After that we went back to sleep. Or we tried to. the security man sat behind our van and was listening to damm marriachi music very loud....

Spent one night here while we were exploring Natchez. Uneventful and relatively quiet night with two other RV. Awesome that they have a free dump, garbage cans, and potable water (by the visitor center entrance).

Big grassy hedged area with covered area where you can sit during the rains. Showers and bathrooms. Very nice guy Adonis. He has 6 dogs on his property (some tied up) but they are well behaved. Lots of birds and iguanas. C3000pppn. Ants and mosquitoes.

Igeleke Rock Art is similar in style to the Kondoa rock paintings, located at a spectacular site on the edge of town just west of the Dodoma road. The ochre drawings depict human figures, an elephant, jumping eland and giraffe hiding in long grass. nothing special, but nice views for 10 000 Shilling

Beautiful & serene. Maybe 15-20 min drive from the highway. 12 camp sites. I was the only one occupied. Very quiet. Good place for an overnight or longer.

Great site, lakeshore is approximately 30 feet from camp site. Final approach requires decent clearance, I was fine in a stock xterra. There is space to leave a car before the turn into the site, and then carry your tent/gear to the site, which is approximately 50 feet away. I’ve tried to show the rocks and pull out space in the photos. Lots of mosquitos.

Plenty of dispersed camping opportunities, especially at the “Trailer Park”. Reasonably clean campsites with fire rings, easy gravel road access and then short dirt road to campsites. A little noise from OHVs, but overall very quiet. Hardly anyone there.

There are three spots where the road ends.

good and friendly hostel , same price with ariyan hostel but ariyan is more cultural , and here have a yard for parking motorcycle

A good place for one night. In the morning, many dog owners come for a walk.

Large area with lots of sites most are along water for fishing and kayaking. Free camping easy to pull in.

Beautiful spot, the creek had super refreshing water perfekt for the hot weather we had. But there were thousands of little Flys, kind of sandflys... In the shade of the van, they were on our van, didn't bite, but.... Baaaahhh...

Great spot! The longer description below is precise. We stayed in the spot to the right. It is rocky but we made it in our promaster. You can see the road from camp so it’s more of a “I just need somewhere to stay” kind of spot but works for us! You can hear the road but it’s not annoyingly loud. Quiet at night. From our research, you won’t get anything secluded and scenic within a 20 min drive from Lake Tahoe that is also free.

Government campground, standard $12.50 fee, firewood included. About a dozen sites right by the lake, beautiful setting. A bit of a rough and steep road in places, ca. 25km from the highway. You drive through a recent forest fire, which in it's own way is very beautiful.

Lots of places to camp for FREE!! Must camp in marked camping spots only. All have rock burn rings already. No electric or water. Plenty of rocks to climb on and hick. Beautiful sunsets. Stayed two nights.

very nice campground right at the beach.
pablo is runing the place and speaks good English.
this is one of my favorite places in my 4 years of traveling the world.
we payed 6$ a night.
if you stay longer you can negotiate.
supermarkt is around the corner.
you have to cross 3 gates to get to the pla ce.
