pull out along the river with pit toilet and trash cans. heavy bear activity. Make sure that you secure your food. must have backcountry camping pass. You can pick it up at any grocery store or gas station in the area. $3 for one night, $5 for three nights or $30 for a year. 14-day maximum. open grassy area with several fire pits right along Indian Creek. road going in is very narrow and one lane only with not very many places to pull out. glitchy app will not let me leave stars. I give it five stars. plenty of room for big rig parking, to me in a van, the road is awfully narrow and windy to get in with a big rig. Just my opinion.

not sure if it's year-round, but this waterfall is easily accessible from the road and you can get water from it. not sure if it's potable or not but it seems very clean and easy to fill some jugs.

So, we marked this spot as closed.

One hour parking signs everywhere now, and the building is closed. Not sure if this is open anymore. We didn’t risk it, just went up the highway 10 minutes to the next spot.

The road getting into the site was a little bumpy/washboarded but not too bad. The site was very nice. My high top sprinter made it down ok, but anything much taller (>10 ft) or wider might have issues with trees leaning across the entrance.

I am also not 100% sure I would've made it back up out of camp site easily without 4 wheel drive. It's a little steep and slick with leaves with no real good place for getting a run up.

Awesome beach huts right in the jungle. All three types monkeys are coming through and you can feed the awesome squirrel monkeys! Luzmilla is a very friendly host and a good cook! She'll help you with everything. at very low tide you can even walk to the island in front of the property. and there's a nice walk of 40minutes to tigre salvaje, a turtle sanctuary. definitely highly recommended! we've never seen so much wildlife before! monkeys, sloth, 1000 of butterflies, frogs, turtles, snakes. more on our Instagram ;)

If you drive by Burica Surf, cross the creek and turn about 50 meters after that to the left, you'll find an incredible wild camping spot!

Because of Corona we've spent 8 month there and have never before seen such an amount of wildlife! We fed monkeys out of our paw, saw thousands of butterflies, turtles, whales, some sloth, scorpions snakes and of course cows :D

At the end of the river is after rain a nice bassin to bath in at a little cascada. at low tide the ocean creats a pool, perfect for bathing and snorkeling! If it's season there are heaps of mangos and you can visiting mono feliz for avocado!

the people in Bella Vista are awesome and very helpful and we felt safe and left everything outside.

Veronica and Joey from Burica Life might help you out with water and have sometimes internet access. their place is a dream to visit,as is mono feliz and tigre salvaje,a turtle sanctuary.

in Bella Vista are 3 stores, one where you can get huevos de patio, and some busses are driving daily to Puerto Armuelles.

We've just missed good waves, which are pretty rare, and internet signal. besides that spot is awesome!

be aware that the road isn't passable after heavy rain fall! so you might spend more time than you've planned. so better bring some supplies.

Great deal for $10. Easy self registration. Overall great place to stop over for cheap. A bit dirty but just because of the environment being geared towards motorsports. We arrived at about 9pm in November, the property is very dark and not east to find your way around giving it’s a motorsports facility with dozens and dozens of dirt roads. The map to find camp grounds in the facility can be confusing.

Beautiful campsite! We could stay at a tented camp spot with our rooftoptent, the rocks are a shelter for the wind. Very nice abutilon with good, hot, shower. We went up to the rocks over the short trail and saw the rocks turning red in the last sunlight, a must see!
We did a braai in the outdoor kitchen/braai area.
Lots of stars at night and it's so silent.
Payed the Corona price: 123$N p.p.p.n.
The owner is lovely and likes to have a chat with her customers. Highly recommended!

public park past the rodeo fairgrounds. no signs prohibiting overnight parking and the park hours are removed (scratched off) from the main sign. old-school playground, old baseball diamond and small stage with bleacher seats. we pulled around the stage and parked our 4runner + rooftop tent at the back of the lot. no private properties immediately close by. stayed 10pm-8am no problem. train came by at sunrise, but no other noises and we weren't bothered. beautiful stars at night.

This is a place right next to the river off the road. There are a few pull offs next to the access road for fishing. 2wd is fine. I got here late and went to the 2nd pull off, but it looks like there may be more. Sound of the the river all night. No Verizon service

It is quite the drive in on dirt road from the blue ridge park way. There is easier access from the interstate. We drove the dirt road with a promaster 1500. Beautiful hiking trails along the creek with waterfall sites. First come first serve for pull in spots at $10. Free sites along the drive to the campground. A lot of tent sites available.

Definitely one of the best truck stops we've slept at! very friendly personal, drinks to refill and a shower.

One benefit of Corona for the ladies is that just one after another is allowed to enter the bathroom, so you won't see truckers at the pissoirs and can relax behind the milk glas wall without lock in the shower :D

just before the bridge leads a way down to a finca, where you can do a nice quiet walk with your dog.

we'll definitely come a fourth time

As described below. There are in fact two campsites, (Indaba and Inkwazi). Inkwazi is more open but with nice shade and plenty animals. A number of forest walks can be done in the reserve and canoeing on the river.

A beautiful campside hidden in the dunes near the Tembaine tablemountain. They have many cotton tents and a big restaurant tent, also toilettes and showers. If you take one of their tents, it is 50€ per person inlc. breakfast. We could pitch our own tent for free next to the camp and use the restaurant. People here are very friendly and helpful. The last 20 kilometers of the track are very difficult, it leads through the dunes, you need 4x4 or an Enduro Bike. We did it with two Honda CRF 250L.

A big surprise finding this site hidden from view next to a wide stretch of the Berg River in the middle of the Swartland wheat fields. The owner Jan is very friendly but one gets the impression that the place is a little past its best. A big plus though is being able to listen to the call of Fish Eagles in the gum trees on the opposite river bank. The old wind pumps by two of the sites tend to be a mite noisy if the wind is strong enough to turn their blades. Do not drink the water here!

A simplicidade deste lugar faz parecer que você está num sítio em plena área urbana. Situado à 1,5km do centro de Urubici e à 6km da famosa Cascata do Avencal e Cachoeira Papuã.
