Nice little Hotel in the dead center of Lubango. The rooms are cleane, working shower, fresh bedsheets, ac, including breakfast which offers a nice selection. Small green garden in the middle, guard over the night and secure parking spots. 16000kz for single, 18000 for double.

Wonderful view on the Laguna Chacchura. Very quiet. Weak Claro connexion.

Dirt road from Mpigi is rutted so give yourself enough time.

Ferry says they take 12 vehicles and 300 passengers. The one we took had 12 cars/trucks, 1 utility trike, our big GSA, about 10 small motos, and about 300 ppl and it was packed!

If motorcycle, pull up to motorcycle line on the right (maybe ask if you can load ahead of the other bikes).

Go to pavilion to the right by the barrier and register your vehicle and passenger details. They mark your hand with a black marker.

On arrival at Entebbe side it's chaos. Very steep ramp down into a huge puddle (3 m x 3 m x 20 cm deep). It's a gauntlet with vehicles about to board lined up along the right of a narrow and rough dirt track with stalls on either side. Repeated jams/gridlock at junctions. Probably took us 20 minutes from disembarkation to escape from port area.

Great campsite at a reasonable price for this country. Power and water right at sites. We paid 59 eu for two nights inc taxes. They also rent bikes for 12.50. Wifi reached site and was pretty fast.

Beautiful spot ! Several roads lead off from the main road and connect together. Perched on a cliff opposite gorgeous rock walls.

A lovely camping spot! Beautiful scenery. Right on the lake. Trails for hiking and biking. Lots of spots to park. Picnic tables, bbqs and fire pits. Tent camping and car camping is allowed here. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Very quiet and peaceful. Very few people are here currently. There is a boat launch/marina so there will be people using that to launch boats. Truck noise from that is all I heard other than birds. Fishing and water sports allowed on the lake. Quite a few bugs at night, but to be expected in Texas around the water. Saw a huge pack of deer, probably the most I’ve seen together at one time. I parked next to the trailhead which is the flat ground, but parking is allowed everywhere not marked as “no parking.” Google maps might take you through a neighborhood, but if it does, exit and make the next left. You should see a sign marked “Area 5” or something of the like. Can’t remember exactly.

I spent the night here. I requested to Municipalidad and they opened the main gate to access with my bicycle. Claro 4G. Very calm place.

In main square you can find a specialty coffee shop.

overnight stay for a few dollars available. nice place for fishing, camping and walking around. water spigot all around the park. portable toilets too.

Slept here two quiet nights. Construction early in the am and late in the evening. Very quiet at night. I slept very good at this location. Grassy spot to walk dog. Near pier.

Really excellent food, service and atmosphere! Newly opened by Japanese family. The quality of the food and sushi especially was outstanding, we’ve been to quite a few sushi places and this is one of the best!

The entrance is hidden in a back alley and access with a car can be challenging, but there should be space for 1-3 cars…

Very kind people when we asked permission to stay. We are at the far end of the parking lot by the berm.

Hubert Le Grand was full so tried here. Clean, well maintained, comfortable mattress and pillows for 8k with fan and en suite. Has rare trifecta of good lighting, mirror above the sink and a clothes stand to hang gear. Ate at the restaurant too, very reasonable prices, tasty and great portion size. One of the staff Sabine, speaks English. Plenty of room in gated parking for motos/4x4.

inside the small tienda, the owner call the special lady for Western Union (if she's not here, no Western Union). We didn't understand if there is a limit, we could withdraw 300.000pesos.

Expensive and we did not have any hot water in the showers, even after we were told there will be hot water in the morning. The bathrooms are old but cleaned regularly.Only flat spots near the toilets.

Site #68 Full hookup. $22 before discount (Veteran). Shower was a single stall. Very quaint and clean. Used laundry. Great price on laundry: $1.50 wash, $1.50 to dry. The machines are beand new and worked well. All payment is by honor system by putting cash or check in envelope after self registering. The manager was friendly and kind.

there is a tap outside the station, we asked if we could you it and there was no problem, this tap is used by the community.

Keep right for large trucks and RV's. Keep Left for cars and pickup trucks. Outdoor picnic tables and ramadas. vending machines inside. Pet area along back side of truck parking. Restrooms are clean and have an interesting large wooden gear display.

Do not come here to walk around or let your pet walk around. There is broken glass everywhere on the shore and in the water.

Great water spot, the hose is a bit leaky and duct taped so probably better to use your own with a filter.

As mentioned in other posts, the water spigot is right next to the bathrooms, easy to locate.

Park was empty on a Saturday afternoon this time of year so we took advantage of the path and let the dog stretch his legs as well. One person came to walk their dog in the hour we were here. There are dog waste baskets at each end of the park with bags.

Spigot next to pump 15. Easy fill up after fuelling. Asked the attendant and said it was ok. He was not sure it was fully potable but its the same water system. I'll report back if we had any issue but I doubt it. Thanks racetrac

Lots of penguins still in April. Like thousands.. The adults are changing feathers before migration. You can see then from very close and there is a cool path you can follow to cross the colony. Make sure to ask the rangers about their behaviour and how social they are with each others. It’s fascinating! Totally worth the effort!

looks like you can still stay there. a few motorhomes tucked in the pinion pines. many little spots to tuck in. you can get a ways off the highway. asked permission at the Hopi cultural center. they said, free in trees, they charge if you park on the pavement. saw a juniper titmouse here.
