Dirt road behind skies the limit. Stayed for 3 night with no problems, you are hidden from the road by a hill. A couple pull outs off one path each with fire rings. There was high winds and no coverage so not ideal for tents or pop ups.

Wonderfull place with great outlook to the beach. Perfect for a self contained motorhome, they have good portable water but no possibility to dump. We enjoyed walking on the beach and using the nice pool of the poussada. The owner is very friendly and interested to welcome Overlander. It was high season, nevertheless it was quiet and a perfect place to relax some days.

The 'prices' are currently 2000/person as a village fee to climb the peak, 1000/person to see the cascade, and 1000 for secured parking at the start of the trail. They were unpleasantly aggressive about all this at the beginning although they were very friendly at the end as we drove away. Guides were asking 10,000 and we took one for 6000. The trail is marked accurately on maps.me so most people will be fine on there own. It's a beautiful hike. The cascade is not so impressive and the swimming hole is made from concrete and no more than 1m deep when we visited.

Nothing special but seemed like good value. Camping still 4000, cheapest room 6000, big room 8000, A/C room 12,000. Friendly people and they washed my car overnight.

There is a large parking lot at the base of an abandoned ski area. No facilities, but the road is often plowed in winter. On weekends this place can be busy with locals drinking around bonfires and such.

Renato offers tours privately besides working for an agency. This and the fact that he loves (absolutely loves, would rather be in the jungle than in town) the "selva" results in a good price and a personalized tour.
He knows a ship load of plants and would survive no problem in the bushes. Additionally, he also cooks "comida muy buena" that, however, usually contains a lot otf soy oil. Enough to mention here x)
10/10 would do it again!

Nice and comfortable hostel located in the historic centre of San Luis Potosí.
If you want to explore the city, this is a great spot to park and sleep.
Parking is free and safe on the entrance of the hostel, or a few pesos if it is already taken that night (usually isn't) - though police only checks from 9am to 9pm.
Beds in shared rooms for 8 people are 170 pesos, and 180 pesos for 6 people. There are also private rooms for 450 pesos a night - great breakfast (coffee, fruit and hot Mexican dishes) included in all of them.
Really nice owner and staff!

We stayed as part of an Antarctica Cruise and safely left the Land Rover and Caravan here. Parking is very tight, most difficulty getting into a space ever! Staff friendly, helpful and inefficient. Filled our water tanks (200l) in the service area on departure. Totally overpriced, however spectacular views from the affordable bar!

Parked here overnight for 25 QTC, the start of the trail is across the street. We hiked without a guide, just two of us. In the entrance to the National Park we paid 50 QTC per person. We will need a tent, sleeping bags, food, 4 liters (1 gallon) of water per person and hiking poles (nice to have). We stayed on top overnight: if you go late in the weekend, could have a problem with finding a place to put the tent in. We were asked 5$ from one guy, but ignored him and find another place to camp. Better to start early in the morning to avoid it.

We decided to try to sleep here as the traffic was so bad at 23:00 hrs that we couldn't drive out the car-park (carnavale). But at midnight they woke us up, banging on the truck and moved us on. Strictly no overnight parking.

Between schoko Fabrik and the railway tracks. Surprisingly quiet during the night. Definitely no one cares in this dead end road about overlanders

---SIDE NOTE: This does not appear to be a campsite on first glance. It is the last house on the road, before the river. The host/owner came out to greet us because we drove in very late. I would suggest knocking on the door if he is not outside. It defiantly is a campsite.

Host was very nice, only spoke Spanish, however we were able to communicate enough with him to stay for $5 a night (we are English speaking). We were in a campervan and had place to park. He has a shower and bathroom attached to his garage specifically for campers use. Plenty of food/groceries in town. Really cool place to stay.

Free gravel parking. close to the police. Nice fishing port. Opportunity to buy fish and seafood. Very lively on weekends and during the high season. Crafts and small comidas on the place. Possibility to rent kayaks Very nice atmosphere. We saw sea lions in the harbor.

Agree everyone else’s positive comment but will add:

Across the road is a beautiful stream-side spot to rinse off and cool your beers. In Feb18 there was also a herd on Guanaco feeding - including about a dozen babies across the plain.

Sometimes wild camping is a chore and sometimes it’s amazing - this place is incredible

Good place for the night when you're in transit.
The crew is very nice.
We haven't the wifi outside.
They propose electricity if you need and a place under the light for the security.
Water also.
They speak english.
Noisy ...you're near the rn3 but it's a gas station...!
