Next to the lake, you can put your tent, and protect from the wind by trees.
Just the sound of the waves, there is a little bit of trash but you can find good spots.
Very good to spend a night or more.

On a hill overlooking the waves and ocean Pumlas Place has a small spot to park my campervan and camp. There is a big kitchen and dining room/lounge to chill and use as needed. Fresh oysters and cold beer! The price is not really clear as it seems to change all the time but R120 per night should be acceptable. I enjoyed chatting with Pumla and catching up on all the Transkei gossip, she is a classic!

Small, not really levelled place but behind rocks for a bit wind protection. Amazing beach with sheltered fireplace, you can climb on top of the hill for a great view

Exiting TZN - very easy. Park around back of the building then enter through far door marked “Entry”.
1. Present Yellow Fever Vaccination document.
2. Any bags you have must be scanned as you walk through the metal detector.
3. Fill out exit card and get stamped out. We used a Carnet for the vehicle so got the stamp in the office to the right just past the Immigration exit door. Don’t forget to bring evidence of payment of road tax with you.
4. Show both documents again at the guard house by the exit gate.

Everyone was exceedingly helpful.

After a very short ‘no-mans-land’, park in front of the low stone/concrete single-story buildings and walk through the passageway between them to the two-story buildings behind it. Most services are in the middle building marked “Administration” (but you really can’t see it is marked ‘Administration’ until you are down the stairs). Work your way around to the back of the building to the “Enter” sign. You are in the right place if there is a very peaceful central courtyard/atrium.
1. Health screening is just inside the building to the right. Once you pass there, you enter the main Passenger Hall.
2. Immigration and visas are on your left, customs is straight across. East Africa Visa was easily obtainable with USD cash.
3. Carnet stamps were a bit more complicated as we were charged VAT for spare fuel and LPG we were carrying. Suggest having KSH or M-pesa with you to pay any fees as we encountered all sorts of problems by not having either available.
4. Show proof of payment to KRA (VAT fees) and carnet at guard house by gate to enter Kenya.

Overall officials were very helpful and professional. Total time was perhaps 1.5 to 2 hours.

Parking Lot in the Similajau National Park, Entrance cost 20RM/Person.
Very peaceful and quiet place with showers and toilets, a small cantine and closed to the sea.
Park is closing at 5pm, but you can stay overnight. just ask at the entrance.
Also ideal for trekking or relaxing.
It's not noisy at night and it's a bit adventurious, because of the wild life =)

Very good and inexpensive fruits, not sure of the exact name, but if you drive towards the northern end of town, it's on your left side, half a block further than the Todo Supermarket. Very nice owner, very good fruits opens again at 5pm after siesta.

We parked in the side street next to the Plaza Central. It's a good stop if you're out in El Bolson and don't want to drive anymore. The live band of the cerveceria next door played until 1am, afterwards it was very quiet. In the morning, the market vendors start setting up their booth around 9am. No parking fees in the side street, only if you park on the main street (15 ARS/h until 8pm).

Stayed one night, no power hook ups so lots of noisy generators running constantly. Bathrooms were clean, Nice fresh water spring to swim in and trails to hike. ***FYI*** To get the best bang for your buck buy a day pass, there are indoor private showers available in the day pass part of the park so if thats all you need don't waste your money camping like we did. Pay your $5 and hang out for the day, shower and refill your potable water :)

Free WiFi, super king size bed, private secure parking, including breakfast. We paid through Booking 18.200 RWF. They serve dinner as well but didn't try it. Big Primus beer (720cl) 900 RWF.

16.000 for boat to MAFIA FROM HERE. Leaves 4am. We left our car at the Swedish mission down the road and stayed there the night we gave 25,000 and said we'd give another 25,000 when we'd return in a weeks time.

This is the only bridge that's broken along this route between Caia and Milange. This route is very fun and takes you through lots of small villages that normally don't see travelers.

During rainy season it might be hard to pass due to water levels. For cars and trucks with high clearance it won't be that difficult, for motorcyclists however it will be a small little adventure.

Water level was too high for us (on motorcycles) to pass during the rainy season, but the local teens excitingly helped carry the bikes over the "not so even" bridge.
