Follow a dirt service road between a couple of glacier lakes, a few places to camp on the knoll before dropping down. The track continues to the little dam. Stunning views of mountains, lakes and glaciers.

Very reasonable - cost by weight. Clothes in at 1400hrs, told to collect at 1700hrs.
Note, there are TWO 'Unidad Educativa Otavalo', the lavandaria is one block south of Santa Fe Hostal. It's a long walk if you head to the college at the northern end of town!

We didn't like this place to much. The cappuccino we ordered was more like an Americano with to much water and a bit of milk on top. Wouldn't recommend going here for good cappuccino!

We basically drove all around town and this place was able to sell us a 5kg gasbottle for our stove. We already bought a Ecuadorian connection for 8$ at a ferreteria, so good solution in case your in need!

A small campsite built in an old sand quarry, right by a river.
It caters primary to fisher, but I find it to be perfect for overlanders who need a night with access to a shower and 230V power.
The proprietor can be contacted by telephone, the site has a simple website with the info. Payment primary in cash.

Mobil Garage near Canadian Tire and Walmart - free potable water, go inside to get the required key.

Camping ok. Not many level sites. 1 shower with warm water. 60ap pP 150ap for camper. Guard was checking at 22:00!

Many dispersed campsites along County Road 4. Even on a holiday weekend you can find open ground.

The road is now accessible. The road from El Tambo to Ingapirca is all paved

This place is good to go again apparently. Asked the security guard if we were ok to stay and he quickly said yes.

Awesome spot by the creek with lake views. Only concern is the posting of a no overnight camping sign.

Very beautiful campground with a lot of animals. It was free. Showers with hot water, BBQ and all is very, very clean. 4*4 is obligatory, sand and mud on 27 km

The sites are lovely set, most of them with fire pit and new benches/tables. All widely spread on a sunny lawn surrounded by dense forest. Shower and toilet work perfectly fine and are located near the entrance. WiFi even reaches the spots in the back. Recommendable and incredible cheep for what you get & they do have availability, even on the 4th of July.

Typical parking lot RV park. But rather small lot , be advised if your new to driving a big rig. We we’re fine with our 24ft but maneuvering anything more than 28’ May be difficult if not experienced. Free showers, time not limited. $40 for all types

Nice hostel near the bus station with well-kitted out kitchen and strong wifi. We turned up without a reservation and paid CLP$18500 for a private double room with shared bathroom. Clean rooms and bedding and towels, and new-looking bathrooms with hot showers. Can definitely recommend.

we stayed here again for 20 days. There is a wrong information from some travellers about the price.
The current price is 60000 Guarani for two (2) peoples inclunding motorhome, per day. In our mind
a very fair price for this nice place with top clean sanitary and friendly onwer family.
We enjoyed the near by town, and used the opportunity to renew all our seats with lether, to a very good price.
Ruben news every bussines in town and was a good help for us to find the right shop.
