Got here with other two cyclist. I have damaged my tent and needed to crash somewhere because there were three of us options for a free place were slim. We bargained this place down to 100 per person.
It’s very basic sink didn’t work. Hot water. Very noisy.

No office, easy and fast you just need to drive on the bac and pay during the passage. approx 30 min to cross the Congo river.

Pretty basic, gravel car park with electric hookups and a couple of toilets and showers in a container type arrangement. Nice staff in the hotel and location is good

Still a good and cheap place to have a hot shower, 7min./2$, you need tokens which you get outside from a change maschine-1$bills

Great free designated camping area by the reservoir, lots of open space and some more private areas hidden by trees. Individual sites are not really defined, people just choose a spot. At least 30 vehicles here at the moment and room for more without being on top of one another. Only one pit toilet although is surprisingly clean for amount of people here!

A small track goes from the road down to the lake. Well known by locals. In the afternoon and evening some family’s come here for swimming or fishing. But quiet at night. The water level rised 30cm during the two days we stayed here. Beautiful landscape!!

We camped on the parking and paid 25 somoni for 2 persons. You can have dinner and breakfast here as well.

Wild camping on top of a beautiful hill, the view was amazing. Peace and quiet all night. Totally safe. You need 4x4 to get there. 10 min from the main road. You could probably choose any hill top in this area.

We have been overlanding in Southern Africa for years and this place has always been our "base". Very convenient. If you store your car here there are many opportunities for car service around and this can be done while you are at home. Your car will stay under a roof and the battery is taken care of by a charging system. A very relaxed place to start and finish your overlandtrip.
Facilities are simpel but everything is working and clean. In the evening we always went to sleep much later than planned.

Nice small simple hostel, dorms or private rooms and good prices. Owner is the highlight, super interesting and helpful guy, cooks great food and knows everything you'll need about ferry's, shipping and sight seeing.

Secure-ish parking, great view and good Wifi

Yes, just camp here to have good internet if it's your interest after several days without it.
