One of the best pizzas you will ever taste. wood burning stove, a base and toppings to die for.

Coming from Europe, this is some competition .. UK pizzas are really poor.
I had the chef Rezo special, with chilli. Ask for specially made garlic oil.. You in for a treat! Not cheap but you will not forget this quality.

One of the entrances is here for indoor shops and food spots, inside of a plaza. They are not commercial brands, but independent and local artistans. Also, you are in an Arts district. Explore galleries in this neighborhood and street art.

Small fastfood-ish restaurant, completely filled with lots of locals. They sell a mix of iranian, turkish and lebanese food. You can sit on the second floor.

This is the holiest place in Iran where millions of pelgrims go to every year. Its also supposedly one of the biggest mosque complexes in the world. All in all very, very impressive. Not to miss when you’re near!

We just entered and wandered around, but after the tourist police tracked us, we learned that’s not allowed. You get a free English guide at the information centre, they’re all volunteers but the ones we met spoke good English and had a lot of information. No rushed tour, they had ‘all the time we wanted’. Unfortunatly the shrine itself was offlimits for tourists. We were allowed to take a peek inside though. The rest of the complex, especially the first court and mirror halls, still make it worth the visit.

There are three museums. They’re only open in the morning and with the English guides it’s free.

Women need to wear chador, you can pick one up at the entrances. No camera’a allowed, there are secure luggage rooms (free of charge) and they do a full body search -airport-style- before you can enter.

Cheapest room is 8700 CFA with shared bathroom but it is not possible to use bathroom as there were about 50 mosquitoes in it. This is the worst hotel I have seen in W Africa for mosquitoes. In the room it's OK but avoided on site restaurant for the same reason, would not stay here again

Wonderful camping spot in the middle of Puerto Natales! We arrived by car and were offered a tend to use for the night, including very comfy mattresses. Nice and warm fire pit in the evening, super bathrooms (heated!), hot showers, and a great breakfast in the morning (which came with motivational quotes on coffee cups) - BTW one of the best coffees I had in Chile so far! For 10'000 clp pp/pn (low season rate) we think it's a great place. Since it was our last day we didn't ask many information on what to do but we got some tips for the next time we come to Chile :)

To where the road ends

Large, flat area behind the gas station in a small retail park. Clean bathrooms, showers R$8 per token for roughly 8 minutes. Convenience store selling food. There also a burger place, a buffet restaurant (both expensive I heard), and some shops. A cervecería is a short walk or drive towards town on the opposite side of the road. Good for a layover.

We stopped here too and it's lovely. Good view but we approached the hut and an alarm started and didn't stop: we were 10 metres away. We moved down the beach and the direction of the wind changed to east and we couldn't set the tent up! We moved along the road to a deserted building and camped between a couplee at San Gregorio.

Maybe the first ATM when you arrive from Macará - Ecuador.
There are two banks. Both have ATM I think but we were able to withdraw money on Bank de la Nación. It accepted MasterCard (and many other logos)
Maybe there was also a possibility to withdraw in Suyo but we didn’t check.

As being said, really nice spot with an awesome view over the city.
Street might be to narrow and steep for many vehicles though.

Passed without problems in a 4Runner, but 4x4 is definitely necessary. As original post stated there are a few creek crossings and the road does get very steep at one point, but it’s only a couple hundred meters before it levels out again. It’s mostly mud / clay, so could be tougher in rainy season.
