There is no camping available here. The price for room when I called for one person CFA 25,000 which I thought was very expensive. Owner was not the nicest as he left me waiting after viewing room and I just got back on my bike and left.

Spent the day working on our motorcycles here. Great shop with plenty of tools and good English.

Great little place, worth every wobbly kilometer to get here. Beautiful cave village and informative guide Parfait. The village market is also worth a visit. The couscous with veggie sauce is excellent. We camped in our car for 3000 cfa but I think its negotiable. Recommend!

Amazing little house in the middle of the moutains ! 4km from the road 3, 1h walking easy. There is a river close for the water and a fire place inside and outside. A little kitchen also. There is a little "1st floor" possible to sleep 6 people or more !
Possible to reach it from Esmeralda laguna, on maps.me there is a track but in reality no.. but easy following the valley.

Lonely beach with no one around. Some houses, but hardly anyone living here. The road is not too easy. I had a 4x4 but maybe it’s possible without 4x4. But high clearance necessary. There is a big palapa, and some palm trees. There is as well some kind of lake with good enough water for a shower.. free

Prehistoric trackways is a national monument under BLM management. On this large gravel parking lot, you can stay overnight during 14 days. It is very quiet at night, there are a few other cars during the day. Nice hiking possibilities. They offer a free organised hike every 3th Saturday of the month, searching for prehistoric foothprints.
Before you arrive on this parking lot, there is a smaller one, that also can be used overnight. Most day hikers use this one.

Dispersed camping along the Baylor Canyon Road side roads. Very quiet, some are rough and narrow roads, BLM. Camping allowed for 14 days.

Very expensive, left our clothes there and found out that in Bellavista camping you can get your laundry done for 5000 (1 machine) while here is 3500 per kilo, we had to pay 22000.

As per recommendation best workshop in town, owned by a dutch guy named Piet. Been told they have a consistent high standard. Piet is quite old already, so it's feared when he is going to retire.
I was there with my old Toyota HJ60 and they seemed quite knowledgeable.
It's not far from Sedia Hotel.

Nice place to stay for a night with hot springs, big swimming pool with hot natural water, good food, nice place for beduin fire place, local music, accomodation with variable standards: separate small houses with bathrooms, batrooms outside, you can also camp in your own car. It's very quiet, cosy, with nice view, out of the city center. Great place for relaxing. Owner Halaat is very friendly and helpful. He can help with car, he chaged us springs in the car. He can also organise tours to dessert if you need. Highly recommended!

One guy half laughing told us there is 20 lempiras fee but... The attendant was so drunk he could barely see us 😂 he remembered to ask the money anyway, but didn't have ticket, promised one in the morning. In the morning other attendant asked for 20L more with ticket (we stayed almost until lunch). We saw the first guy too, so at least he works there. Funny. Village was busy until midnight.

250AR per person, facilities are tired and the women’s shower block is being used as storage making the men’s showers shared at 30 min intervals. This was not explained to us when we asked about the showers upon arrival, we were just told the showers were open at 8PM, same time the electricity was turned on. The system is wood fired, doesn’t need electricity, but they keep the shower room locked anyway. Locals were allowed to take showers during the day but not day use visitors or campers, they tried to be sneaky about it but we could see the bathhouse from our camp spot...very annoying. We managed to get decently hot showers around 7PM, which is when they came and explained the men/women time slots but said it started at 6:30PM, not 8 like we were originally told. There is a sign saying all water must be boiled and another, posted in multiple spots, saying they aren’t responsible for lost or stolen items or robberies. The robberies bit doesn’t invoke confidence in an establishment located in and run by the local Mapuche community. We had a weird exchange when trying to leave, the guy at the gate wouldn’t open it saying someone else had to come, he did lift it after I demanded it (extremely forceful, we were over the place by that point). We were in need of showers and laundry, the only reason we stayed. We normally don’t advocate against a place but this one was not worth it, there are much better places in the 7 lakes district.

Nice shelter with 2 clean rooms for cyclists and a room to use as kitchen/bike storage. Access to water is 100m.

We stayed there with our tent. At the weekend there were a lot of other campers, but it wasn't loud in the night. During the week we had the whole beach for our own. We felt very safe...
There were scarlett macaws and monkeys around. Very nice experience! :)

What a lovely vet! We read on Google that she's Canadian so we came here to finally talk to a vet in English because our dog we picked up in Ecuador has so many issues and so much got lost in translation that we felt the need to talk to someone properly.

She took her time, listened to everything with patience and takes great care of our fluffy fella.

gorgeous location. at the lake. can get busy during the day. we paid 250ar$ ppi. a little expensive considering the showers were closed while we were there.

A very nice women wash a bag of clothes for 150 pesos. I give her my soap.

I was told all of Cariló used to be a gated community. I stayed for 3 nights for free and there were several beaches very welcoming to overlanding, with amazing 5* showers and bathrooms and parking areas right by the beach here at HSBC, a little North of it as well as South near ICBC beach. Definitely a place in Argentina where people are well off. Police drove by regularly and waved at me. Everybody friendly and welcoming, and felt very safe. As it got very windy I found myself parking on the side of some roads in town in a pop-up camper, so it was obvious what I was doing. Nobody seemed to mind my presence anywhere and everybody I talked to confirmed I was welcome and safe. Amazing place, highly recommended.

Quiet spot amongst the dunes. No one came for $5 fee. Very windy, but we tucked in behind some bushes for some relief. Only ones here.
