Stopped here for lunch but it would be perfect for cyclists in the rain. Flat grassy area for a tent and a small hut for shelter next to a clean river. On your right as you’re heading south on the CA, fenced off but accessible alongside the river.

At the moment no entrance fee for the park, free campsite. Very nice place, extraordinary. No facilities, just fireplaces. Clean, right at the lake. We stayed three days. They are in the process to put Asfaldo on the gravel road.

great little spot, this is our second night here. There's a little bit of traffic noise which dies down after midnight.

It is not allowed to import fruits and vegetables from Northern Territories into Southern Australia. Before the border in NT is a road sign informing that disposal bins are 160 km further south. That is at Marla Roadhouse where you find normal garbage bins. We obediently threw away our onion, but we didn't understand how imports can be checked, because at the same place is a supermarket selling... fruits and vegetables. We didn't come across a checkpoint.

ZSIC as is on the signs is the only place in Kasama to get Comesa. You will also need to purchase their insurance. For our truck (11 tonnes & UK registered) it cost about 100 euros for 1 years cover to all Comesa countries, roughly 50% is for the Zambia insurance and the rest for the Comesa extension. It's not possible to buy just the Comesa. It will be cheaper for snaffle vehicles, shorter time periods, and fewer countries included.

The office is located inside a building, go up the stairs and turn right into a small office. I took a photo of their Zambia insurance rates, Comesa is roughly the same again. Cash only!

This toll will only apply if you have not already purchased road tax. If heading south pick up road tax certificate in Kasama at road fund agency, there are a lot of tolls and checkpoints.

A really lovely place just 15 mins outside of Las Pozas. We stayed 2 nights - the huge palaya was great for us as it rained while we were there. Quiet, secluded, beautiful setting and hot showers. Restaurant at the entrance - nice simple food and free wifi. We paid $100 per night.

We came just during the lunch break, were told to be back at 13:00. Nice lady showed us around the manufacture (about 20min) and explained everything (in Spanish). You can't buy single cigars, only $100 boxes. Everything is export. Also this neighborhood is full of different cigar factories.

We were pulled over coming from north. We overwhelmed them with all the paperwork we just got at the border, they wrote down something from our passports and let us go.

There are some abandoned buildings behind the cafe that are perfect for putting up a tent. The cafe people were very nice and even recommended one of the buildings for us. They have a great selection of snacks and open at 7am for a morning coffee before you hit the road. Salt water from the tap but they filled out bottles from their clean kitchen water.

there has been 3 owners in the last 10 years; the current owner is doing major upgrades. they have a dump station available and have propane available @ 2.49$ per gal. they bought 18acres next door where 50amp, longer pull-through sites will be in the near future. All other amenities are either upgraded or in the process. The people? they are awesome.

This is listed as a libre camp on a park map for Nahuel Huapi. We stayed one night very close to the river. Not the quietest due to the highway but not bad since we ran our fan for white noise. A decent spot as the signs near lake Traful mentioned fines for free camping in the park.

A lovely little pizza place (also serve salads and pastas). And a small bar with sports on the television. Owned by a local older couple. They enjoy meeting travelers. Very reasonable prices. We paid R90 for a medium pizza and two Cokes for the two of us. Well worth it!

Some of the best pizza we have had in Africa.

We were looking for a budget accommodation with 24 hours/day front desk (late arrival), secure & guarded parking for our minivan camper, in central location & walking distance to historical center, easy road access to airport and in/out of the city.

This place had it all for 410pesos/night (taxes included / Booking.com) for nice rooftop room (#120) with huge bed, warm shower, room service, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant on site.

* Money Exchange with far better exchange rate than most other places is 7min. walk NORTH on Blv. Manuel Ávila Camacho (Intercam Banco / blue&white sign, around 19.173456, -96.119913) Their rate was 19.36 in time when all others had 18.60.

* Laundry, 13pesos/kg is 7 min. walk SOUTH (19.165966, -96.117351)

* Two 55+ ladies cooking typical very good Veracruz dishes and they are open longer than others in the neighborhood - 11.30 - 21.30 are just 7-8 min. walk SOUTH (19.165325, -96.117059).

* Walmart is 2km SOUTH (19.156544, -96.112339)

* Park Zamora (historic center) is 3.7km NORTH

Negatives:
* Only smaller vehicles, definetly no RVs.
* Their booking.com listing includes "Airport Transport" service which translates in this case to calling a Taxi for you (225pesos one way)

Classic "garage style" eating place with tabels spilling on the sidewalk.

Good, local, typical food with budget pricing and served with smile. Open much later than the rest on this street (11.30 - 21.30).

Very nice and quiet resort. Laurie (the owner) was very kind to us. She let us park in a big field in the back of her property. She also let us use a comfortable bathroom. The restaurant was good.
We could speak more with her in the morning, it was very interesting and she also gave us good pieces of advice for sightseeing around.
