Small campsite in the bushes at 20 meters from the road. Several dirt roads leads off the main road. Lot of space, some tree to be covered from swing, but not from the noise (not to loud if you go further from the road). OK for van and tents, no need for 4WD.
a little bit trashy, but not to much. spend one good night here !

Amazing stay! The hotel manager and his wife are so nice and the manager speaks very good English. He showed us a room but we preferred sleeping in the car between the dade trees. We offered to pay for the camping in return be he refused. We bought some delicious dades and spices from the little hotel shop and bought them some sweets as a gift. In sum: highly recommended!

Very nice people! The diesel station was closed but he opened it specially for us (truck drivers were refused). Also diesel for a fair price.

Really lovely campsite with very clean showers and bathrooms (5000 pp in a camper). There’s hot water from 8-11am and 6-9pm for showers, wood heated and some of the best we’ve had. There’s a kitchen and dining area, but also sink outside for dishes etc. It wasn’t too windy when we stayed and we also had breakfast outside the next morning at one of the picnic tables. They also have a few friendly pups. Highly recommended!

Hello
Good place near Quito.
For our family and our motorhome it's 8$.
It's ok,you have a good wifi, water, toilets, hot shower,a place to eat, and 45mn from Quito in car.
With a Uber it cost 15$ for Quito.
No problem with big rig, but if your more than 8.5 meters take care at the back with the wood pole when you turn at the entrance
The main entrance with the porche is not the good one....you have a second entrance.
The noss Carlos is a realy nuce guy and the crew is so friendly.
Nice and safe place with children.

We paid 150 Kwacha for two people / one night as we did not use their facilities. Be aware of the peacock that is running around, as it climbs cars and scratches the paint. Staff could be more friendly.

the wifi is 0.80 download and 0.30 upload, and it's just me using... very very slow, but works. we sleep one night here... we parked between aduanas and a hotel to keep near as possible from the signal. the cops at night stoped 2 times but no bother us... but, I suppose if I park a big rig they will complain... I'm traveling with kind stealth van...

I'm not a "hiker"... it's 2.2 kilometers up there with 750 high, it's a moderate up, you get tired, and sometimes seems never end. but, we you less expect, you will be there... and it's amazing! the volcano is beautiful, still smoking... a crazy place! after this, to get back is very easy! after all it's just downstairs. Very recommend! and it's freeee!!!

We passed easily with our ~2.50 m high campervan. Paid 3980 urugaian pesos for 2 persons and the car (seacat Colonia, payment only in cash). Was the last car to get on board as the space for cars larger than 1.96 m is at the end of the ship. Times: 10:15, 16:00 and 20:00.

super friendly and welcoming staff. downsides: right on road — big trucks and engine brakes all night (didn’t bother us too much, but very loud). i don’t think many people camp here as they have a big back yard but only allow you to stay in the front parking lot right on the road. there are guard dogs at night that they leash in front of the restaurant so the bathrooms are not accessible unless you’re quick footed around rottweilers! started weedwacking at 6am beside the car(might not be an everyday thing)

There's a rather huge paved parking lot which we overnighted in last night. It has 13 large spots for rvs as well as a bunch for cars. We stayed here last night with several other RVs. There are no signs prohibiting camping.

If you are in Ensenada and are looking for some amazing, affordable, authentic ceviche, go to La Guerrerense. It is a food stall on the North corner of the intersection at these coordinates. Ceviche is PILED atop a crunchy tostada, served with fresh avocado and Guerrerense brand salsas (hot sauces, people, not American "salsa"). There are countless varieties to choose from (cod, shrimp, clam, tuna, mussels, etc), but my favorite was the Mixto (yep, a delicious mix of the whole shabang). Braden got a great one with whitefish and pineapple. Some are flavoured strongly with lime and cilantro, others let the flavour of the seafood shine through, all are excellent. The basic tostada are $25MXN/tostado (that's a buck a piece!), but you can get more elaborate selections at $50MXN or $100MXN/piece. GO, NOW! You'll regret missing out on this one, folks!

Pizza place, with only one kind of pizza (Americano with salami and ham). You can choose between Slices (3Sol) half (18Sol) or full pizza (36Sol). Drinks for 2,50 Sol. 1Full pizza (12 slices) is very big and enough for 2 persons. Was tasty...good place to eat some american styled pizza. They have ice too.

Bots to Nam, UK passport and SA registered vehicle.
Quickest and easiest African border crossing ever! No cash needed, everyone friendly. Took as long as the time for me to complete the departure and arrival cards.

Road from Nokaneng to Dobe is a good sandy dirt road... when it is dry! After rain (we had today) large sections of it turn into thick sticky sand-mud that clogs the tread of your tyres and sucks you in. At times the vehicle was sliding sideways down the road! Allow plenty of time and take care.
No problem on Namibia side (where the sun is still shining!).

Nice campsite, as previously described. Not much shade at the pitches though, and the ablutions could do with a bit of a clean! We only had cold showers too. They told us no WiFi, so I think they've given up trying with that!

NAD146 pppn. We could pay with credit card - but only in the mornings as network was too bad in the afternoon!

In general I would certainly recommend as a great stopover on route to Dobe or Khaudom.

We parked overnight at the parking lot in front of the hotel for 150 peso after negotiating with no service. We used the WiFi which is slow and sometimes not available. We felt safe but at 4 am in the morning somebody tried to get into our RV. We shouted at him and he ran away but he thought we might stay in a hotel room. I told the manager about it and he will check it on the camera.
