We need to change serpentine belt, oil, and few more small things in our van. We bought parts in autozone and bring it here. Noe, automechanic, was super fast, cheap and speak english.

Very nice place to stop for the night. You’re limited to 24 hours and we did see quite a few people working on the location who I assume are monitoring it. Can plug into the light poles for power. Nice bathrooms. Water fountains. WiFi is pretty weak but it works.

Pretty nice camping at the side of the river.
First no one there after a while a local called Manuel, who apparently manages the camping came and told me it was a 100pesos to camp for the night. Made it to go down to 80 :)
You will find some nice palm roofs and firepits.
All in all a good place just on the side of the road before getting to san ignacio village.

Good place to do laundry. 20bob per kilo.

The young couple from England have done a fantastic job. They know exactly what overlanders need. Very spacious property. Awesome place to meet other people and chill. Close to the main square of Filandia. Everything you need!

It is a quiet free place in Girona with free water. 15min to walk to the old town of Girona with the Basilica and the Cathedral. Beginning of January only 5 other camper here. Enough space for 50 or more.

We stay here during the week and we are alone. During the weekend it can be busy! Big wonderfull area. River, playground, soccer field, volleyball, hamacs, grills. A big swimming pool, cold when we were there. Showers are commun in the pool area, if there is a lot of people, it can be not really nice! Facilities are dirty. Electricity at site. No wifi available. 5$pp/night. We managed our kid (3y) for free!

L'endroit idéal pour apprécier ce très beau centre ville . Tout se fait à pied ....Le personnel très agréable . Nous avons séjourné 6 nuits dans l'hôtel . Chambre 11 , le lit fait 2,2 m de large avec un grand jardin presque totalement privé , au calme ( a la différence du côté camping ) , bref on n'avait plus envie de partir .
Vivement recommandé pour 40€/jour....

The place is surely nice with the view and nice feeling. It’s obvious that camping is secondary. Overlanders are not allowed in the pool area and not allowed on the WiFi. Our first spot on the Tanzanian coast and not really impressed but maybe this is the best you get as an overlanders here.

We did have dinner and the food was really nice, also the staff is nice and the owner gave a very good welcoming.

Nice, quiet parking lot with trees and a grassy area at the end of lot. Also the sound of water flowing inside the park. Feels safe.

Didn't think it was possible to weld aluminium with a stick welder the size of a refrigerator and no helmet, but he did it.

Boom gate across entrance today, so no access. Closed for winter?

Standard border crossing procedure. Nothing to pay immigration and aduana did not give us a receipt for handing TIP in. Bypass the line of trucks.

Good graded maintenance track with level sections running alongside covered pipeline. Not that far off the bitumen, but because the border is closed at night, traffic at night is rare. Good views of several volcanos including one gently smoking one close by to the south east. No nice mown lawn for tents, but that is rare around here anyway.

Northern entrance is closed off at the moment so need to use southern entrance. Two police patrols turned up so we asked them if it was OK to spend the night and were told it was OK. The area is separated from the coast road by the park so road noise is zero and in any case completely drowned out by the waves.
Just don't park or walk within 5 metres of the light poles!!!

Nice concrete slab to park with a great view. Asked the fishermen if it was OK to stay and they said yes before I finished asking

Large gravel quarry with plenty of cover from the highway and almost no highway noise. Marker is at highway turnoff.

Just a nice quiet spot with 360 views well away from the main road. Turn off at the marker and keep slightly right up the small hill. You can hide behind the dirt heaps or be exposed on the top side and enjoy the views.

Huge area so park in a corner to avoid truck turning circle

Stayed here 1 night with my dog. Was here about 2 years ago and nothing has changed. 350 mxn/night/person.

Arrived at sunset and the parking lot was nearly full. Was offered a matrimonial room for s/70 (1 person) including breakfast but inquired about tent camping and was offered to camp for free! Parked my motorcycle in an empty corner of the parking lot. Set up the tent back in the covered corner by the pool among paint cans and tools. Relatively nice (cold) showers available in the bathroom in the poolside, nicer restaurant. s/10 menu still available in the front, more normal restaurant. Of course I ate dinner and breakfast there and bought lots of drinks and dessert in appreciation for the owners' hospitality. Visa/MasterCard accepted!

Excelente camping, com baias individuais para qualquer tamanho de motorhome! Banheiros limpos, com calefação e água quente!! Energia e água potável!

Off tarmac, next to gravel road leading to official camp site, beautiful view in the morning, stars at night. Good option if you’re looking for a place to sleep

Turn off for Mbosi meteorite coming from Tunduma. Longer than if using the Mbozi turn off but the dirt road is ok.

Compulsory weighbridge for all vehicles above 3.5T. Signs advise fine of $2000 for anyone over 3.5T caught not going through the weighbridge. They just waved us through, we didn’t even need to get out.
