we had read on a blog, that it was possible to stay overnight in this school, so we stopped by and asked. later we were told that there are many ciclistas (people on bicicle) who do this.
we were allowed to stay overnight in one of the classrooms and spend a quiet night there. since the pupils are on holiday, we were allowed to stay longer in the morning (during school week: max. 7am)

please if you stop by, ask friendly if it is possible to stay there and accept no as an answer, the family living in the school is super friendly and will have a good reason to deny your request.

Easy hike, less than 1h one way / the color of the river is beautiful / we saw 2 guanacos crossing it.

Rolando is a nice guy, helpfull and a good mecanic. Reasonable prices. We highly recommend him and his team! So go there when your car has troubles or for maintenance.

Should be the biggest in town. They do have the basic needs. Carneceria opposite street.

Safe parking for motorcycles. Comfy rooms and nice laid back backpacker atmosphere. Really recommend!

Little space to park but we still managed to get a space for our 20 feet long - 11 feet high motorhome, directly by the river ! We walked down the dirt street one minute and arrived at a really beautiful fancy restaurant that is actually by the river. Good food, good drinks, 1087 pesos for 3 drinks and 2 meals, worth the experience. Mariachi band playing and making ya dance! La fiesta (Note i am not sober when I write this) ! Amazing place to discover :)

we had a lot of dificulties to find someone who want to help us whith
our fix us tank. Finaly we found the phone number of Don Camilo in Peireira 3145291209 this man work with a gaz truck and hé can help you. first call him to know where he can join you.

we stayed here for one night near the park. everybody told us it's very peacefull here. it's à good spot fore one night free.

We parked in front of the hotel and we could use it's beach and facilities in charge of getting a drink in the bar. The owner loves overlanding himself and he was really friendly and welcoming.

best place to stay the night before do the ventisquero trail of queulat, very nice view and quiet.

Great little B&B. Rooms clean, bed comfy, showers hot and powerful, staff friendly, and breakfast tasty. TV has DSTV with English channels, and the room includes a decent sized fridge with ice box.

N$880 for a double ensuite room.

Open 8am to 1pm, with guided tours 9:30 & 11:00. N$90 per adult entry permit for this period. Interesting short tour followed by the opportunity to explore on your own. Good restaurant/coffee shop.

If you are interested in photography then it's worth paying for the permit that allows you entry from sunrise to sunset (N$235 per person), as it enables you to explore on your own when it is otherwise closed to the public. Beware it gets VERY windy in the afternoon though, and you will get sandblasted walking between the buildings!

Nigeria visa can be obtained from Freetown embassy if you have a flight into and out of Nigeria, 1 hotel booking, 2 passport photos, 500,000 leonis and payment for your nationality in usd at the FBN bank. Processed same day, but may take up to 2 days. Same goes for Conakry, just make sure not to mention you are overlanding.

For cyclists. The road is passable all the way. The works are still going on, but I haven't seen any rough sections, all smooth asphalt save 3 stretches of gravel of about 200m.

For cyclists. You will likely need to push Your bike down and up to the rock formation. It's a beautiful place above a valley, very scenic. It is not far from the road, but they can't see You at night and can't reach easily (i.e. I think it's very safe).

Camping area on the lake. Nice leveled spots on the grass and on gravel. No height restriction and wide gates. Can rent boat and jetski. Restaurant on site (can’t speak for the restaurant as we did not eat) NO WIFI. Cozy fire place while the restaurant is open. Bathroom with hot shower for campers, but you can also use the bathrooms in the restaurant. Original price was 40K per tent, talked it down to 30K. 3 resident dogs Really friendly people, even free coffee in the morning :)

Welcome to this peacefull library. Here you can sit and drink something in a very relax atmosphere. No fee to go in the viewpoint if you already drunk something, otherwise it's 50000 rials. You also have the possibility to buy some books about Iran translated in many languages. Moreover the manager can exchange dollars to rials with a very fair rate (1$=100000rials)

The view from the open air terrasse is very nice. They have good cold drinks, garlic bread and cheese was very tasty and we ate iranian food for a very good price. Some area are also reserved to smoke chicha, perfect place to relax.

This is our second year spending a few days in our truck camper. if you see cars here just park above them. you can slide into the beach end of the road when the staff at beach club leave shift😉

We can just agree - an excellent, skillful and very helpful Mechanic - and also his son Jair. We went to Giovanni (before years end) as we had sometimes a strange noise on the right wheel - after a short test drive he already had a clou what it could be and confirmed it afterwards when checking underneat. After new year he organized the spare parts (not easy to find but he did not give up until he had all the right parts) and could fixed our car properly. The campsite has a great vibe and is perfect for those who are social and like to party a bit. If you are looking for a peaceful site with plenty of space to yourselves and are a light sleeper, go somewhere else. If you are a solo traveler or want to chat with others who have already driven your route, this place is perfect. I was a little disappointed that there was only one toilet for each gender. Things could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn‘t terrible. Somebody mentioned there was only cold water in the shower, but we had warm water.
