Condors??? Well we did see a bunch of ppl stopped taking photos of a couple black birds with 2ft (total) wingspans.
I'd say if you can attach a photo of a ligit condor great.
Otherwise id change the title to beautiful views with regular black birds :)

My Spanish isn't %100 but the interesting guy here who sells food, drink and cured pig leg like in Spain sounds like he had something to do with the movie "Alive".
Worth the stop for a chat, funny guy!

This place was just starting to open for the season when we arrived on 4 January. We were met be delightful husband and wife team, Victor and Claudia, and shown their neat little camping pitches in the forest. Each wee site is fenced, and has a picnic table. The pitches are only accessible on foot - you’ll have to leave your vehicle in the parking area outside. You can get bicycles and motorcycles in, but the sites are wee; just enough room for a 2-man tent. There is parking for a few vehicles, but probably not suitable for big rigs. Some lovely cabañas on the site, too - Booking.com has them at US$40-50 per night. We paid CHP 5000 for 2 of us with tent and bicycles, but I think that this was a bit of a pre-opening price. Others in the area are charging CHP 5,000 per person. Nice facilities, hot water, kitchen.

Right outside the Ferry and Cruise ship yard. $2.75 to take the ferry to Manhattan. We parked across from the Hebrew school. You get some noise from the school busses and the loading dock but it didn’t really bother us. We were nervous to leave the van here during the day but a local assured us it would be fine. It was. We were in New York for 12 hours and slept in it without any issues. Plenty of nice cars parked here.

The bridge is repaired but the place isn't so nice. You can't actually drive onto the beach so there isn't a place to camp except the campground. The lake water is green and stagnant and not really good for swimming. Bummer.

nice place but don't worth the price for us. they show it to us saying we had to pay 300 (150 each) but then, when paying, they wanted to charge 200 more for the van, soooo chauu

no vale el precio
al principio nos lo mostraron diciendo que era 150 por persona, luego al cobrarnos querian hacerlo por 500 (150 cada uno mas 200 por la van) asi que chau.

Stayed three nights, northerly wind prevented us from going out on lagoon in search of whales. Went out on the third day, no whales yet, we are early, but some pods of dolphins swam with the boat and it was incredible. Super beautiful place, good food, friendly staff. Rustic. Wifi was spotty but it was nice to disconnect. Each cabaña looked over the lagoon, just steps away. We went for some long walks at low tide. $30 a night, meals extra.

Easy 700m hike ~25min returns with a little photo break at the top. Flat on the grass expect the last 150m going up to the viewpoint. Crazy wind at the top but really nice view on the lake + surroundings.

Cool to warming up after a night at the campsite.

Still 200 pesos/pp in January 2019 ! The inflation did not arrived here apparently 🤷🏻‍♂️ !

As written on the last comment : hourly mandatory guided tour (from 9 to 18). Little “museum” helpful before the tour. The guide was nice, easily understandable and with a lot of infos/dates/explanations/answers.

The paintings are really well preserved and the view on the canyon on the left side of the path is stunning !

1h10 from the Ruta 40 if you take the RP101 (not with asphalt!) !

Lots of camping spots along this road. Very rough, high clearance is needed after the first 1/2 mile, but there are spots right after it turns to gravel. End of road is at Toquerville Falls, very scenic and a few good spots.

Great for camping with dogs! Its next to a beautiful little lake, some exotic trees with different fruit (we found jackfruit!) and its a pretty level grass parking area. Clean bathrooms, some picnic tables, bonfires allowed and we could roam around with our pups, they are allowed off-leash. Pretty perfect spot if you dont want to drive into town. And only 50pp, for around here quite cheap.
