Gianluca Merlo | Nice cabins just created in a farm with access to three hotsprings. 5Km access road is well identified in the way coming from Volcan city. Need high clearance 4x4 and not for big rigs, but is a nice 4weling route with some challenging steps. 100$ for a room of 4 very well equipped. Springs are not very hot 36-37 C, but enough to relax when outside is 12 C. Electricity is being generated by small hidro power plants. Crosing the river and continue the road will match with Mount Totumas lodge but cold be challenging. Nevertheless could be posible to camp as we have been told. |

Gianluca Merlo | After being here for two days the owner Carlos Alfaro and I discussed over the possibility to accept overlanders. He mention that absolutely and will accommodate the original old house of the lodge to allow the use of bathroom, kitchen and shower for overland ears and backpackers. Not sure what the cost will be as I stayed in one of the new apartments, so enjoy.

agos.zampieri | Now is US$12 per person per night to camp. Couldn’t negotiate. Yes, it’s nice. No, I don’t think it’s worth that much. We spent a nice cool night, but is very pricey. All the packages are over US$20 with lunch. If you only want a guide to walk you to the coffee plantations or laguna verde is $5

Sin Rumbo | Covered spaces for tents and a couple of small RVs. Was cramped when we visited due to the heavy rain. The facilities are good and the location is great. We walked downtown, and the lakeshore is 2 blocks away with a few restaurants and a coffee shop if you turn right at the lake and walk a few blocks. There is a pool and a restaurant on site. We paid 600 pesos for 2 people and our pickup truck. |

joey613 | Wow, I can write a book about our short time here. It would be called something like, "How to do EVERYTHING right when running a bed and breakfast. Something like that I reckon? My wife Alyssa and I stayed here for a few nights after narrowly escaping an INSANE all night music festival in nearby (and more popular) "quiet" town of Salento. We arrived here and Yvette (even though she was busy cooking dinner) immediately showed us around the property and made us feel right at home. And people say "they made me feel right at home" all the time, but I never do because I (think I) tend to see through people's fake niceties. I really mean it here. She was an absolute pleasure. She gave us advice on what to do in the nearby town (about a 25 minutes peaceful walk uphill - the way back is downhill and even more serene) and she helped us with all the loaded questions we had. The room are beautiful, rustic and very clean. We slept like babies. We had their home-cooked meals (breakfast and dinner) which they made to suit us as we are vegetarians and the food was heavenly. They have beer and wine on site (honour system- write down what you take and pay at the end) and everything else you could want, whether it's good company in like-minded travelers, netflix or some of the cutest dogs you've ever encountered. Oh, also DIY projects. If that's your thing, their property will be a treasure trove of fun projects Yvette and Paul somehow strung together. She is brilliant and can offer great advice on a wide range of topics and ideas you may have from all the inspiration you find lining the walls and floors of this house. Then there's Paul, Yvette's other half. We had the pleasure of talking with him one night to the wee hours of the morning and he's just as brilliant and cool as she is. He is full of great conversation and, for me, it was like kicking back and talking about life with an old friend. We loved him just as much as we loved Yvette. A brilliant team they are and I (strangely enough) feel like we've made dear friends in them. So, in conclusion, I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a true holiday a short distance (but easily walkable/drivable/bike-able) from the downtown of Filandia. I'd even say it's impossible that one would regret staying here. And it may just be the greatest place you ever stayed too. Thanks to Yvette and Paul and if you're ever in California/Canada (depending on where we are), you've got family there. Our home is your home. Alyssa and Joe |

outdoorwonderexploring | what a special place! we spent 9 days and finally decided to leave to get more supplies. No fishing here for the next 5 years (Nov 2022 will open again) we were told fishing isn't as good here this time of year. Unfortunately that meant no shrimp & fresh fish as previous reviews mentioned. you can still fish by line within 50m of shore (see picture for sign and regulations) Great place where sailboats come and go every day. eco cruise shows up every Monday with 65 passengers that hoard the beach. |

innowan | Public beach of the small village Pescadores, approximately 1,5 km outside of the village. Bumpy dirtroad leads there but doable for any kind of vehicle. Not sure about conditions when it rains. Take the small road shown on maps.me leading towards the coast. Then always keep to your left until you reach the beach-parking.

juliapierce | Seems to be the place everyone knows about. EVERYONE. The beach is crumbles shell almost like broken glass. Hard packed but not barefoot friendly. Our closest neighbor used a generator. I think so did the next guy. It’s fine for a pinch but the cell service was slow on top of the crowd. It just didn’t work for us. |
