This is the one Walmart in Jackson MS that allows overnight parking. Level spots at end of lot close to KFC . Many restaurants close by. Signage says no truck parking but several trucks were there. Subway in store

For cyclists, firefighters allowed me to stay in an empty big space inside the station where you can set up your tent or use one of the mats available. You can use the bathroom with shower and maybe the kitchen but I didn't ask. They're very friendly and welcoming

Amazing place. Daniel (who is a renowned photographer with some of the most iconic images of Guatemala), goes well out of his way to welcome you, make sure you're having a great stay. His receptionist will go over a map showing you great restaurants (don't miss a lunch at the French bistro le Comedor). He organized a purchase of fresh fish and grilled it for us, too. Let us park our rigs inside the gate (on the lawn a bit!).

Place is not for camping in your rig of course, but as bnb it is super clean and well above the two star rating shown in Google.

We had a pretty quiet two nights here. Wifi on and off first night but better second day. On final morning never worked. There is an open slow network too. Showers now 60pp but excellent.

German guy and local crew can work trucks. Mostly familiar with euro trucks. Seem knowledgeable and not going to rip you off.

Guides can be found in the museum, we didn't get one but wish we had. Most of the museum is in Spanish except for the short film. I'd recommend visiting the museum before the site. I don't know if this happens every Tuesday but a few bus loads of middle school kids arrived at 10:30. Shady parking and nice bathrooms available.

Good spot. Amazing lake, a few spots with wind protection, and great views.

As usual, some trash at the camp sites. Do your part and fill up a bag to take with you. If we don't clean things up, nobody else will and these places will not be worth visiting anymore.

15Q for a Ford Transit. No waiting at noon. Had to move van towards the back while crossing river to balance the boat...

Wonderful place. 25Q pp/24hrs. Natural pool from river, zip line, cave entrance all included... Cave tubing for 100Q pp, 400Q minimum though...but you may be able to hookup with others from a local hotel. Ask at the front house. About 1.5 hours. You will exit the caves at this place. Be careful though...I was told there were other tourists that I could join and it would only be 100Q...but this ended up being a short 30min tour, which was long enough...just not what was originally quoted for the price.

Nice spot with a lot of trees and orchids.
Clean baños and bucket shower.

She asked 100M$/night for two people in a small van. When I said that friends paid 50M$, she told me that big trucks with their own toilet are 50M$ and tents/vans are 100M$ because they use water and baños.

We stayed anyway and enjoyed the peaceful village.

How to check-in: If there is nobody at the cabañas, go back to the village. Go straight at the first junction, go to the end of the next block. The house (grey stones) is at the end of this block at the left.

As described and the price is the same. Some construction at the entry but big vehicles can still enter. Security guard accepts the payment and is very nice. The trails are easy and there is a nice display of plants and orchids. Great stop.

Stayed one night; the beach is wonderful and very clean ( we cleaned up a little bit)with big waves but def.not so good for SUP and swimming because there are many rocks; around the parking sites the area is pretty dirty with lots of beer bottles/cans etc.from the locals driving by for a drink,smoke..? we had a very calm and safe night.

Firstly this valley is at over 2000 feet and is much cooler than borrego springs. Fabulous views on drive up on twisty road, smaller rigs better suited. Well spaced out secluded sites amidst very rocky, hilly landscape, very scenic. Clean pit toilets only.

A wonderful place to stay! Carmen, the 84yo lady running it, is a very welcoming and open person, who enjoys chatting with her guests. She sells her great homemade bread, eggs and potatoes. Showers were hot both at night and in the morning. 3000pp for camping.
