bernbo | Located on 540 close to highway 137. Free primitive camping along the gravel road. Pullouts leveled. Quiet. No service. Drinkable water available at the east entrance of the park. You can stay 14 days at the same spot. Motor vehicle use map available at the entrance. Some roads need 4x4. Don't go on private land. Watch for the cows on highway 137.

b.chaski | We came back from Chacas a bit late and arrived at the gate around 6p.m and getting dark. As the road in distrito de Chilla is not good at all we decided to sleep here. The rangers already had left and was only a family running the small restaurant at the front who told us was safe and no problem to stay. We had a wonderful night with them, teaching them how to play "uno", si much fun. The police came also and say we could stay.

deplastification | Super nice and helpful family garage in Escazú. We went to so many mecanics all around to try to find discs for our Chevy and nobody could find them or it was highly overpriced and they would say the job would take 2 days to do. After one call, Ricardo got us the part instantly and for a fair price. Pito made a fast and great job, and in the same morning, we could continue our journey in peace! Highly recommendable place to check out! They do American Brands and Land Rovers a lot. Phone: 2228-1950 , 8384-2720

starrynightsandinsectbites.blog | Nice little spot - good views and lots of space to camp. We parked up between the trees. Quite a few people coming and going, even after dark and after we went to bed at 11pm - not sure if it was for night fishing or for “other activities”. We did stay on a Saturday night, so might be different mid week. |

Traktorbek | This area is incredibly beautiful. Perfect road for people on motorcycles. The road winds along the top of the ridges of the mountains. The colors of the landscape are mesmerizing. The road leads through pistachio forest/plantations. The oldest trees are around 500 years old. Most of the trees are probably between 90 and 100 years old. The area is home to around 23.000ha of pistachio plantations (2019: total pistachio area for Uzbekistan as a whole was 33.000ha). The forest agency responsible for this area is here: 38.2468907, 67.9921593. As of April 2019 they were planning to start developing some eco-toursim in the area. I have seen this area in September and April. In April everything was blooming and green. In September most of the vegetation is brown and dry but it is still spectacular. |

Travel with Kevin and Ruth | Huge empty paved lot behind the fairgrounds buildings hidden from the highway. The gate is always open, and there are no signs. There are also RV hookups behind the paved lot but I expect they are only operational during fairground events. Have stayed here twice without an issue. |

admin | On our way to NP Los Arceles we looked for cabañas outside the park and found this charming place. Rustic cabana for two in nice gardens for 950 pesos. Outside seating and asado. We cooked our own meal (basic kitchen) because we shopped in Trevelin but if we'd known Franco runs a little restaurant we would have had dinner there (paella on the menu). It's also a little shop where he sells home made food, wine, cheese and jambon crudo. As he is from Spain, his jambon is excellent! Recommended! |

bradyanddanica | As soon as we parked, a security guard came over to ask what we were doing there. He said we could stay in the grassy area after 9:00pm. He implied he'd need some sort of compensation and we gave him 30 pesos, but he refused to take them in areas where he was within line of sight of the cameras. Later in the night, someone started banging hard on the van. It was an employee of the PEMEX stating that nobody (us or others in the parking lot) could stay there and asking that we leave. The security guard sorted the problem out, and we were able to stay. Bathroom available at the gas station and BK. |

thethingswedoforfun.com | We asked the security guard if we could camp here for the night. He phoned the on duty manager and they said we could pitch our tent anywhere in the park. Entry for the park is USD2 each, but the manager said tourists could stay ‘complimentary’ and we weren’t charged. We are touring on bicycles, but there is a car park where campers and RV’s could park. There are showers, pools and slides and a restaurant with plenty of covered areas to cook under if it is wet. Opening hours of the complex is 9am to 6pm. We would advise treating or boiling water. The complex is very clean and tidy with lots of grassed areas to choose from to pitch your tent. The restaurant offers cheap local food, snacks, beer and soft drinks. |

Traktorbek | You can get diesel and 91 octane unleaded petrol at this station. Don't be confused by the shabby looks of the place. It is open even though it does not look like it. You probably have to knock at the window a few time because the guard might be asleep. I am not sure, if this place is open during the night. You can only pay in cash. |

nicholas_howard | Great location but I’ve been here an hour and there is already too much hassle from locals wanting money, cigarettes, water, my fishing gear, my binoculars, my clothes hung out to dry more and I’ll probably end up at the camp site up the road 😫. I’m surrounded! Plus I’ve spotted some guys (probably refugees moving north) living rough in the sand dunes not far away, so don’t want to leave my vehicle to walk, fish, swim, etc. It is probably a better location with 2+ vehicles |
