We stayed there last night with our tent on our bicycley trip. After negotiate we payed 200 mex for the night for a dry camp. They gave us a nice spot at the beach for no extra fee. For some reason just the men's shower where hot. Quite some noise from atv's and fireworks nearby until a few hours after sunset. They had a guard all night long at the entrance gate. Overall a good place to stay

Price is now 350 pounds. Or 15 dollars. Significantly cheaper in pounds, but it took some negotiating to get them to accept payment that way.

Pyramids are still free. The temples to the east of the mountain have a 10 USD fee. Climbing the mountain is still free - go at sunset, great views over the pyramids from there.

We came here around 10am and were immediately greeted by Yordy's uncle. For 15sol he brought us to the family Island and to the capital. You can determine yourself how long you want the tour to last. Normaly you can go with Yordy who speaks English, but he already was on tour when we arrived. Very much recommend to come here. Yordy says you can honk when nobody is here. The family all lives around the church and can help you for a tour. We left our car here while going on tour. Felt very safe. Overnight stay is also possible for 50sol which includes dinner and breakfast and Yordy can teach you how they fish.

In the meantime, this place has everything a formal campground needs, therefore I change its icon. You need a 10m cable to plug-in your motorhome.

Good work, changed two tires and balanced them for 1000.- Pesos. We think it‘s a bit pricy for half an hours work. However they do a good job.

We went on the tour with Dina and Yordy and absolutely loved it. First he took us to his private island and taught us all about their way of life and how they build and maintain their islands. We tried on some traditional clothing and had a few photos with them which we're good fun. Then he took us out and should us around the other islands. To be honest we didn't spend much time on the others as they were very touristy which was the complete opposite of Yordy and Dina's island. would definetely recommend going with them over a tour organised by a hotel or travel agent.

We just spent 5 fantastic nights at Barry's Beach resort. And we were very well looked after, Barry even organised twice some beautiful red Snapper for us and the whole crew is very friendly and helpful. But be aware, the campsite is not right on the beach, but all facilities as pool and restaurant can be used by campers. We decided to rent a beach front bungalow, fantastic view, fantastic veranda and interior. We can highly recommend this place for a long stay to relax.

Perfect wild camping with a great view of Extrema and Joanopolis. Steep road to get here but with good condition. Not sure about big rigs getting here.

The price is now 20S for the van for the night (maybe because we were there on a Friday night? not sure) Safe place (there's a guard all night), but we heard the nearby night club music until 4am and then the road workers from 6am, so not really quiet, maybe better on week days

through the small hamlet after the shell garage when going south on route 5

we found this place because it was night and struggling to find somewhere off the highway without crazy wind and not overlooked by houses. easy to just turn off the road and drive for 20 seconds up into the sand.

the wind did pick up at 1pm the next day though but when we arrived at night we were able to cook outside using our gas.

Life is hard out here. Husband and wife team are struggling to fish all day and run a simple kitchen. Gotta be tough. The 200 pesos I paid could be their only cash for the week. Dogs are hungry sometimes noisy.

I agree with Smallwood! Day Hiking Traffic is endless, as stated. I stayed in Site 15, at turnaround, for multiple nights. Day Hikers parking at turnaround loop and walking directly thru campsite 15, with no regard for camp being occupied. 1 Asian family, walked between camper & disconnected tow vehicle to access trail, both on the way in and to exit. Simply Crazy. Otherwise, a great place to stay. Note: NPS has Rangers posted to deter some of the day hiking traffic & parking, but it’s a free fo all before 10AM and then after 4PM, once the Rangers leave. Go forth with this warning.

Free. Stayed the night and it was quiet. No facilities but there are some restaurants around the park. There is a shop with delicious desserts and they have a bathroom you can use. We recommend this spot if you're visiting Huanchaco.

Stayed here 5 days. Lovely place with wonderful staff and well appointed comfy rooms... We had a 2 bed, self catering cottage, which gave us ample space to cook and work. Decent wifi and close to beaches. They do not have parking but we parked across the road and were assured it is safe as they have security. It was perfectly safe. We loved this place! Great value for money and very helpful staff who gave us great tips on where to snorkel!

On first impressions I wasn’t very happy with the service here as the young woman just ignored us. Eventually a man came who was very helpful and sweet.

The cost was 200yuan for 2 people, one night.

The bedroom was lovely and clean and beds comfy but the bathroom was awful. Dirty and no running water. We were given a tub of water to wash in.

It was cold when we arrived and we were given electric blankets. Breakfast was included in room rate.

It turned out to be alright! Maybe a little over priced in the off-season.
