Parking at the Tourist Support Center Square. There is a water point and a unisex toilet. Quiet and safe place to stay overnight. Friendly people. There is an outdoor gym and a bridge to watch the sunset.

Beautiful spot and oceanfront. We were the only RV there. A few fishermen come and go but do not bother us.

Campsite has 10 shaded sites, abblutions are clean and shower is hot. We were planning to stay a few nights but left after 1 because of the strong winds. Although common around this time, the strong winds made it almost impossible to cook and very cold once the sun set. Paid 160N$ p.p.

$3.50/gal for bulk propane. Expensive but oh well. You can pull up all the way to the propane in the back of the store and push the button that's there for assistance, that way they know you're here for propane.

Wonderful spot, free on the down season but with no accommodations (toilet, water, etc.), which is fine for us since we normally don’t use campgrounds. Nice, level spots, quiet campground, beautiful views. We were lucky to find this spot since the Tetons really lack boondocking spots for rv’s - if you don’t want to try your hand at the super rough roads around here, try this campground first.

a wide Spot on the BLM road between hwy 89 and Bishop Tank. no facilities, but there was already a fire pit here. the ground is firm, compared to nearby post that mentioned issues with soft sand.

a little noise from hwy 89 but otherwise quiet and only two cars went by. we stopped for one night. decent place for an overnight stop.

Todo ok. La ducha cuesta 13USD. Es en la estación de gas, no en el hotel.

On these coordinates there are 3 spots. Roads are just a bit a tad bumpy coming up. Took some time after arriving to pick up some trash, along with a sandwich bag full spent gun shells, none recent. Looks like in the past sime locals had a bunch of fun. Area has no amenities, be self sufficient.

The spots are as follows. The first spot is a tad bit unlevel mulch/dirt. The second is the one mostly pictured, and has a fire ring. The third you can get to, only if you aren't low to the ground, 4×4 is ideal. Witnessed a Subaru Outback get through the "tree stump hump". Sadly didn't get a picture of that one.

Enjoy Washington!

There is a problem. Local police showed up at 8 pm (after everyone else had left the parkinglot). They said that a mmunicipal regulation forbids overnight stays in any municipal locations like parkinglot inless it is specifically permitted. We mentioned that there was no specific indication that it was forbidden and that we cant be wxpected to visit local websites for any village we might be visiting. Of course we agreed to leave within an hour (i drank one alcoholic beverage). The questions i woukd have: 1. Is this a reasonable regulation 2. Why are they not clarifying with clear signs.
I suggest to avoid St. Donat as a trav destination.

The police told us to stay overnight here (as opposed to trailhead parkinglots). There are currently signs no camping but we noticed several other RVs. It must be part of new regulations in St Donat allowing overnight stays at this designated spot. The details are on the municipal website according to police. The site is quite nice and large, it seems quiet and close to the beach.

Nice place but too shaded in October. I found a nice place in the sun on the riverbank just 500 m to the south.

Slept overnight here. There was an incident where a man called out for help and explained to an overnighter that his truck had just been stolen with all his belongings! Police came and took him away. Weird start to my roadtrip! Also some dude was blasting EDM out of his van all night :(

There are 3 campsites within the Khwai area, all the same price 350 pulas pppn. Magotho offers 15 large plots, each under huge acacia tree but sometime distant of a few kms from the toilets. So one needs to be self sufficient to camp in the wild. The lowest numbers are more close to each otherand to the river. This is a very driven and dusty area, not much of intimacy. Wildlife is impressive in the whole Khwai area. We had no booking, went 2 days in the row to the bush office and found nobody there, so we opted for Khwai safari ground where staff is always present and plots more intimate.

In fact there are showers and non-pit toilets now (in addition to pit toilets). A fairly simple campground. Not too big, quiet, flat, some trees. You can quickly walk to the edge of the Sacramento river and take it in.

this is a cool little spot. parking area for river access with porta potty. short walk on the trail to the river. sign says no camping but nothing about no overnight parking. there is video surveillance so felt super safe. got here around 3:00 pm on a Friday have only seen one other car come in. really pretty sandy trails to and along the river.

we were really not impressed with this spot. contrary to the other post it is not close to anything. the road in was super bumpy. nothing to really look at. just dirt and small brush. mountains in the distance. super open and awkward. we did not stay went the little ways down the road the "nice spot in the river" post. so much happier here.

Parks and Rec and/or rangers obviously patrol here. And thanks to them this place remains open. For us good-souled Boondockers there will obviously be a bit of trash to pickup tomorrow, but for the most part at the time of this writing, it seems clean and safe to stay here for the evening. High clearance is A MUST to get down to the beach with your vehicle- heavy rigs will struggle more can easily get stuck, and don’t ask AAA to help you because they won’t make the trip into off-roading sites like this. TIDE CHART KNOWLEDGE is a must if staying on the sand.

Knowledge from Parks and Rec which we called beforehand: required is an orange flag at least 9 feet high and a $10 ATV (this is a permit that covers all motorized vehicles at the beach and not just ATV’s ((Traditional ATV’s are NOT ALLOWED at this location)) ) permit is required which you can buy online and will be mailed to you within 10-14 days. Until then save a copy to your phone or print it to show the ranger. Any persons acting like vagrants will be cited and kicked out and it IS ENFORCED.

The clearance to the last part of the beach is akin to owning a pickup truck if you don’t want to get stuck. On this night we had very good neighbors who kept to themselves and were kind and helpful if someone needed anything. Ask for a cup of sugar or a jumpstart and you’d get it. I measured 18” from level at the pavement. Good luck and keep our forests green :-)

Kicked out by police in a small SUV because of local complaints from previous nights. Said big recreational vehicles are blocking the beach, others playing loud music, leaving garbage and human waste.

Really nice spot at end of pier. Spoke with 3 locals who said I should have no problem, & if I pulled nose in to the water I might see some Minke Whales and/or Bald Eagles this time of year. I saw neither, but not for lack of watching. Fisherman traffic started just before 4am.

Nice site if it's not busy, but on a weekend probably better to pay the $10 for the other campgrounds to not have to listen to generators running all night.

Stayed one night. Arrived an hour before they closed and ordered some food to go. Parked behind the restaurant in the designated rv spots but there was a bad odor nearby. Too dark to see what it was from. The smell came into our rig from the fan so we had to move closer to the road. Otherwise great service and nice spot for the night.

This is a great spot but definitely avoid on the weekends if you’re looking for a quiet location. We arrived late on a Friday and there were 2 vehicles and about 7 full trailers & trucks. It was a real local brewhaha, they ran a generator late into the night that the river could not down out. But there was plenty of space for everyone, we went right to end of the rocky beach and got a little privacy.
