Road gets a bit dicey in the rain as it is steep and not much gravel. Also not many places to turn around. Didn't go all the way up, it's probably beautiful.

The gravel road that leads to this area is small but manageable with a B class. Stayed 1 night, very quiet, nice lake and mountain spot.

Nice view, but lots of cars and people coming to the spot during the evening, even in September!

We weren’t able to get a permit, so we left after eating our breakfast.
Longish entrance, slightly rutted & just a bit muddy in 1 spot.
Large private circle clearing with a road that continued beyond the campsite. (Didn’t look like it was used)
Picnic table & fire ring w/flip grill.
Dark sky & sooo quiet.
Verizon 3 bars LTE.

Got there right as the sun was setting and it was a beautiful view! Stayed the night and had no problems, was very quiet with few cars coming and going. In the morning I did the small hike to the overlook which was great too!

It take us 1 hour from valemount with our school bus because of the road, but just take your time and it's allright ! The lake is full right know, it's rainy/clowdy so it's really beautiful, a real-life movie! We were alone in the 2 spots (the campground and the beach). Beautiful place! I have the feeling that it's never full!

The original description of this place completely undersells it in our opinion.
Marsh Road is a gravel rd that connects highway 217 and 101. All along Marsh Rd is a berm for St Mary’s Bay which is quite beautiful. There are many spots along the berm where you can drive up for a full on view of the bay. When we arrived there were some Marine Rescue volunteers there with a large crane and were removing a dead beached dolphin.
Marsh Rd is not maintained so there are lots of large potholes. It’s doable if you go slow.
We found the entrance off #101 to be easier and the first little pullout before you arrive at the berm was awesome. The access to the beach was easy and there was very little traffic at all.
There’s no facilities whatsoever so please pack out what you take in.
Leave no trace!

Followed the road to a clearing and fire pit. We entered at dark and we’re amazed at the scenery when we woke up in the morning. One of our favorite places!

we stayed 5 nights at this amazing place. there are 3 private campsites about 500 meters apart from each. each site has a kitchen area with zink and space to sit sheltered from rain and sun. we loved the use of natural features like trees and rocks in their bathrooms, outside showers and site 2 and 3 also have a plungepool.
there is solar power with USB and fridge connections . Jaques and Barbara are extremely helpful and lent us their own camping fridge when we had problems with our fridge plug. our dog loved the freedom of roaming around freely and going for long walks on the farm. we can't wait to come back. we paid NAD150 per person.
we hot some bread , eggs and boerewors from the farm and you can get wifi at the farmhouse, some spots at the campsites have network signal as well

10 sites along a river connecting Mbudi and Khwai rivers. We had huge heards of elefants, hippos, hyenas, waterbucks around, heard lions. Campsite directly connected to western Khwai rivefront game area by a rivercrossing passable with a Fortuner. Nice mokoro trip, we saw elefants and buffalos.

Rolled in late and left early but a decent enough spot to park for a night. The casino is still closed as of this post. Looked like all the electric boxes were locked but maybe if you get in early enough to check in at the gas station you might get one unlocked. Unsure about that. Didn’t see water or dump but didn’t look too hard.

Shaded camping on game farm. Each campsite has a braai place. Cement worktable with tap. (No zink.) Seperate table and chairs and a washing line. Before it was raked and clean, but now full of thorntree branches. The grass used to be lush and green, but with the cheetah fences being taken down, the zebras & other buck roam free and eat the grass. Three friendly emus visited us. Bathrooms still clean, but water cold. (They said to run taps for a while, but still cold in evening and next morning after 5 min run.) They can also provide wood. Chalets accommodation an option. Restaurant and bar open on request and booking. Good one night stop.

Loved this spot of city camping. Conveniently located in the middle of everything but large open camping spots with grass trees and a view.

Nice flat, paved lot. Free to camp here with Washington discover pass. I’ve camped here several nights now, it’s mostly ok except for the fact that people seem to love to come into this parking lot and drift their car. Has happened so many times.

I camped here on a Friday night once and about 2 dozen diesel trucks showed up at 5:30 AM on saturday to ride dirt bikes and shoot guns which was incredibly loud. On a weekday it’s pretty chill. Except that people love to come in, do one lap around the lot and drift their car, and then leave. There is a vault toilet though!
