We stopped in this very nice local restaurant for lunch and it was super delicious ! We took chicken with "sauce aux graines ", foutou (banana paste, super tasty) and rice for 1500 CFA /person. You Can Park next to thé restaurant and sit in the shadow. Plenty of local people eat there, dont miss this place! Nadège will welcome you with a Big smile !

Surprised how good this place was! Only one car passed us during the whole evening, night and morning. The sky in the middle of the night was clear and full of stars, also the milky way was visible.

The location is 30 miles north of Kingman,AZ. Right off of the road. Listed as a nature preserve on Google. * No Campfires*.
Drive out onto the Dry Lake Bed and find a spot to stop. Wide open space with no trees or shade. It's a dry lake bed.

We camped here in our sprinter for 3 nights while waiting for the Baja ferry. Sweet little spot near a village. Other than a bit of garbage the spot was pretty and my husband managed to get some good surfing in! We felt totally safe and the locals were met were friendly and welcoming. No services.

The campsite is beautifully situated with a wonderful view of the beautiful landscape. The sanitary facilities are very clean and the shower is perfect. Very interesting and competent astronomical tours. There is also a nice planet trail for a short hike. Highly recommended.

Nice and quiet place in the dunes. We saw no one. You can choose where you want ;) easy access, even for no 4x4 if you stay near the road I think.
Some garbages but not everywhere, easy to find clean spot.
No phone.

Hands down the nicest place I've stayed at in all of Guinea. This an agricultural/forestry centre ran by the Sainte Ursule Catholic sisters. It is also a training school for young Guinean adults who want to work in agriculture. The place is surrounded by lush forest and has mount Ziama towering in the back.

The sisters are extremely welcoming and warm. They're busy because the centre does a million thing and they're part of the training of the young people there, but they'll always be available.

The room cost me 250,000 GNF per night, en suite bathroom, very clean, mosquito net, fan and 24h electricity thanks to solar panels. Breakfast is included. Meals are absolutely delicious because they're made with produce and meat grown at the center itself, 50 to 60,000 GNF per meal. Please don't be a cheap traveler and try to negotiate down, the sisters are working insanely hard and do so much for their community, let's be respectful and only stay if you are willing to pay the fair price that they ask.

You can ask to be shown around the centre's huge garden where you'll learn what grows, what animals are farmed, and how they produce their own biogas that they use to melt the wax for their candles ! There's also a little souvenir shop with homemade products, including juices and soaps. Even if you don't sleep there you can drop by for a visit or a meal. I took most of my meals with the sisters and even went to church with them (am not particularly religious), all in all a great experience.

Always call in advance as they're quite busy, sister Brigitte's number is +224 629 32 86 93.

(also if you have un-expired meds in original packaging that you'd like to donate they'll be very interested, they're trying to set up a small dispensary)

It was perfect! You can repair your car here or clean it up after a dusty trip. We have been there for some days. Mario and his family are really nice. We felt save and in Felipe de los Andes you can get mostly every spare part. Thank you Mario! Gracias Mario y un saludo a tu madre!!

we visited the mine with Willy from Marco polo tour, it was very interesting. Willy will answer all your questions in French. count around 100 bowls per person and 50% for young children. you must add around 15 bowls for a small gift for the miners: drink, coke or dynamite that the guide can buy for you and that you offer to the miners you meet during the visit. the guide will provide you with boots, pants, jacket, helmet, headlamp. you cannot access the agency with a large vehicle but here is its whatsapp: +59172426378 you can coordinate an appointment at the mine.

Wonderful Bush Camp with amazing star gazing. Spent two nights here on the Sugar Bush camp spot, which is one out of two campgrounds at the moment. The spots are far away from each other and it feels like a real wild bush camp. The campground is big with several options to park the car and / or pitch the tent. Veronica and her husband want to keep it special and secluded, as opposite to more traditional campings (they are overlanders themselves and understand the preferences travelerssnd nature lovers are looking for). The access is through a steep and rocky climb, around 1 km, 4x4 and high clearance needed. Price is at 150 ZAR ppn, or 135 ZAR ppn if you spend more than 1 night. Nice hiking routes available, and the hot bath tube is absolutely worth trying. Text Veronica directly on Whatsapp and she is providing more info on how to access the camp etc: +270824554947

Found a small spot pretty level across the street from the river. Our campervan was fine, road was quiet, maybe 4 cars came by. Several spots on this road to park, some had fire rings.

So many spots to set up. We were in a jeep with a roof-top tent. Many level areas and some rocky fire rings. This road is actually a series of washes. We took it pretty far in and it was gorgeous. Totally quiet and very little if any road noise. Only one other camper here but they were closer to the road and we were the only other people here.Stayed here to go to Willow Beach the next day. Apparently this wash will take you directly to the Colorado, and very close to Emerald Cave, though we did not try. We did see the tiny beach the wash opens up to once we were on the water.

We stayed here for one night. Very quiet night and it felt safe. In the afternoon lots of kids were playing on the new (closed) road section right next to it - some very curious and interested, so be prepared for some fun visitors ;) Jardin is not big, everything is within easy walking distance from here.

We rode to the actual rainbow mountain with our motorbikes! There are two paths to get there, one reserved to hikers and donkeys, one reserved to moto taxis. We asked the guards if we could ride to the top with our own motorbikes, initially they said no but when we said we would pay (50 soles each) they agreed to let us pass. Just ride carefully, the trail is fine if you're used to go off road but obviously is at high altitude. Epic!

After the strenuous last few weeks, we took a break here on the tennis court. Nella gave us a very warm welcome and the whole team really embellished our stay. Large vehicles are allowed through the first gate because the barrier at the main entrance is too low. Nella helped us a lot with everything and is a perfect host. Absolute recommendation.

Arrived in the dark and was the only van there. It was fine in a 2WD promaster but the ground was soft in some areas and if wet might be messy. Only stayed to sleep a few hours before heading to Bryce Canyon for sunrise so never did see it in the light.
