instagram.com/erlebnis_sammler | Everything as described. My recommendation: on the Iraqi side of the boarder, tell the officers that you first want to exchange money. Go to the last supermarket on the right side (after the restaurant). There you will get a good rate (nearly like in the cities) when you bring new 100 Dollar bills (we got 1$ = 1.450 IQD). Then pay everything in IDQ during the process. You will get everything a little cheaper and they won’t scam you! |

unhappyshrine10 | There’s a few thousand acres of BLM land here. Dirt road not too bad past the gravel storage area, and it winds all over the land, but there are no true pull-offs. Lots of sticks and stumps and lava rocks in the grass alongside the road, but if you don’t mind driving over that kind of terrain, you’ll likely have the whole place to yourself. Except for the cattle, coyotes, and pronghorns of course. Gorgeous views of the mountains surrounding you and miles of hiking on the dirt roads winding through this grazing land. |

hlawrence0728 | Slightly rough road but my vintage van made it out here with little issue. This spot is right underneath a power line but no noise and decent cell service. Good amount of space for a van but not a large camper and flat. Remember LNT :) |

keycuckoo20 | Got in at 11:30pm and left by 5am the next morning. It was downright SPOOKY getting to this spot. Way off the beaten path, really bumpy road up a steep hill in the dark. Spot was good enough for the night, but you’re kinda S.O.L. If your rig breaks down, or any amount of rain is/was present. Was easy enough for my Sorento to get up it in dry conditions, but I can’t imagine a big rig having an easy time here |

Jamie Z | As most others have said. Great place for moto travelers for a night or two. I met people from several different countries here. The facilities are quite basic. My private room (CLP$25,000 per night) had a small bed and a wooden chair. Cold at night. There was someone else's luggage in the room. The bathroom is quite small, and the floor often wet. The kitchen is a bit disorganized. Guests are not allowed to do laundry. It's a bit like staying in someone's garage. A lady comes to clean most days, but it's a bit cluttered and dirty all the time. The main reason to come here is for the motorcycle comradarie. |
