Water wasn’t really warm and we did not use it for drinking, but great place for washing off the salt after crossing the salt flats with bicycles. We cleaned the bikes and our luggage inside the concrete bath and nobody cared. After that we just camped nearby with a nice view on the salt flats.

Es el mejor lugar en el que hemos dormido en todo Brasil, al frente de la playa foguette. Un sueño!! Tiene ducha fría en la posada (gratis afuera). El mar es muy cristalino, la mejor hora para verlo muy transparente es a las 10am. Recomendado!

Best beach spot we’ve been in all Brasil, what a place!!! Theres free cold shower at la posada. You park just in front of the beach. Incredible.

Well maintained dirt road off Lake Mary Rd. There is some sort of Forest Service building but no one around and no signs prohibiting camping. We stayed here a week ago on our way north and now on the way home. Quiet. Pretty flat. 1 bar of ATT. Lots of forest roads gated right now but this one has no gate. Fine place to spend the night. Might be more road to explore in dryer season.

Its open. You can get in with a guide for 35.000 per person. Its actually worth it with a guide because he could answer any question not only about Pablo. They also provide paintball, picnic, 4x4 and helicopter tours. Not sure about camping but i think they would let you park here for a night.
Possible to buy water, beer, tea etc.
You can get further with car than we did, we just parked sooner. No parking fee.

Crosed with motorbike. All straight forward, no insurance was checked (I dont have). They checked the yellowfever vaccine.

Large open parking lots with one marked in long spaces for RVs. Some signage for RV parking, but not enough to bring you right to the correct place relying on signage alone. There is signage forbidding semi trucks. Traffic noise is from the highway is noticeable, especially when windows are open. We were all alone and no one bothered us. Overall a nice overnighting spot.

We enjoyed this park a lot. The dinosaur prints are amazing, and the tours, walking on the side of the canyons, or doing the caves, were exceptional. Tour guides are improving, or at least that was our feeling with Alejandro. He was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable.
Also we loved the vibe of the little town. Overall 48h well spent here.

Quiet, dark, big campsite. Great for a relaxing night in the woods. Deer or Elk herd passed by in the night.

we were trying to get our puppies down for a nap in the parking lot hadn't been there 5 min and was told by security we had to come in the casino or leave. will not be back

Still a great place for cyclists to stay. Rooms are basic, bathrooms shared. I don't think you can show up straight to this location, go to Casa Viaje down the street first and ask for it. Big courtyard for securely storing bikes and the owner is very nice.

Lovely wee place by the river. $20 per night paid cash. Pit toilets and plenty of rubbish bins

This is a genuine little fishing village. Way off the tourist track. There isn't much to do here except for life-watch and interact with locals, who are very open and friendly.

We slept right by the church. Very safe. Quiet, until morning, when the fishermen return and some go out with their little motorboats. Very cool place if you want some interaction and to see how people in less touristy communities live.

NOTE: There are open showers that the fishermen use which when they get out of the muddy water. We could use them too.

Beautiful campground with nice showers and restrooms. Great experience and the wheeling was good too

Hotel in Zomba, close to the city. Room with all what you need (hot water, a fan, a mosquito net, wifi and breakfast included (buffet)) for a good price (in picture). There is also a car park and they do restaurant (food is really good). It's close to the botanical garden and you can start the hike to the plateau from there.

As described, best hostel we’ve been in Peru, perfectly managed. The owners are sweets and make you feel at home. Bike friendly, 20s/p for a double room. Everything you need (kitchen well furnished, bathroom with hot shower, sink to wash clothes and hang them on the sun, central location, different spaces to chill).

Pernoitamos três noites aqui. Posto muito bom, atendentes muito simpáticos, queridos, solícitos, excelente atendimento, nos sentimos a vontade. Ótimo estacionamento e conveniência.
Banheiros limpos e climatizados, banho a 5 reais, mas se abastecer não paga. Posto 24 horas e seguro.

Sweet little spot! Lots of trees and moss. Pretty level. Zero service.

I’m a trucker with a total length of 73 feet. I was able to come in & get water. I filled up my onboard shower tank (big kahuna portable shower) and filled up 2 blue primo style water jugs. The water spout is located in the picnic area next to the picnic tables. It is fresh water.

Enter the rest area where the trucks park & continue to the end of the lot. The picnic area is on the right side at the exit. Watch for the sign or you’ll pass it.

Once you enter it, you will be taken in a curved circle right back to the entrance of the rest area. Be careful & slow coming out because people aren’t watching as they enter.

Been here two weeks. Free camping - primitive. has level parking for RVs. very beautiful and lots of wildlife. No sign of gators or bears. lots of bugs this time of year, to be expected. pitched a screened tent so that made life easier. plenty of turn around space even for a big rig. has a loop to drive around if needed.
great place, nice and quiet. if big 4 wheeler with Brite lights comes through, holler at Landon, nice guy, very friendly and a local.

Tres beau parc et tresbien situé. 600 pesos pour la nuit. Belle vue sur le coucher de soleil. On y a passé 2 nuits.

Luis est tres gentil et nous a fourni une liste de bon vignobles et restaurant. Il est une tes bonne source d’information.

Aussi on peut aller à pied déjeuner au restaurant La Cocina de Doña Esthela La 2e journée on a fait les vignobles avec nos bicycles (electric …)

We ended up staying at one of the many gravel turnouts along this road, but unless you're just looking for a quick single night sleep I wouldn't recommend this road at all. It's been closed for a while in the recent past for repairs so pretty much all roads going off of it are gated and closed. They are still working on the road, too, so there are multiple one-lane traffic delays. The only options for wild camping are turnouts. Some are bigger than others, but all are right alongside the highway with tons of traffic noise. The other options are campgrounds, but the two we explored were expensive, small, and ugly.

As of our visit in April 2024, this road was gated and closed.

Biker friendly hotel. With a big car park and a mechanic on site during the day. Nothing fancy. No restaurant. But clean and affordable.
