Stayed 2 nights, a lot of people sleeping in their car, good wifi signal. It was quiet. Slept well

Iveco Daily 4x4 5m 700 som You can stay in the park for as many days as you like. There's good coverage and water available. Upstairs in the parking lots, it's not peaceful. There are many people, music, etc.

très belle place propre, on peut vidanger, avoir de l'eau potable et passer la nuit. les places pour se stationner sont bien marquées au sol et sont très grandes, on peut être deux vr dans le même, un à la suite de l'autre

sites have full hook ups. campground has a lake. There is a group site and there are also rustic non hook up sites. there are a couple of big rig sites. most are for smaller rigs
there are a lot of rules. this means the campground is very quiet. it is very close to Rhinelander WI which has.a tractor supply, Walmart, Menards, Kwik Trip and circle K for fuel stops.

Local de acampamento de pescadores e moradores da região em meio a mata costeira do rio. Muita sombra e espaço bem limpo e preservado.
Tem vários locais onde dá pra pescar, embora não tenhamos pegado nada kkkk.
A vila de Furnas fica há 1km onde tem mercados lanchonetes e posto de combustível. Próximo também fica a base da marinha que acaba transmitindo uma sensação de segurança.
Do local se vê os carros passando na estrada, mas eles não veem quem está acampado.
A entrada é bem discreta, precisa-se ficar atento pra não errar. foi um lugar maravilhoso que nos sentimos bem seguros e bem a vontade para ficar três dias em meio à natureza. Veja vídeo no YouTube Kombi ema veloz.

5 campers were there for the night. Quiet place. Only the sound of frogs during the night.

If you have a toad, safest to disconnect by hwy and drive in separate. The road in is 1 lane. Probably OK, but someone will have to reverse.
No problem picking a waterfront spot on 6/9. Amazing this place and amenities are all free! Great place to rest from all the NB Hwy-1 Rattles!

Closed on weekends, otherwise a good option

Shane is such a nice welcoming guy and his family is wonderful. He has an 8 year old daughter, 5 yr son, and new baby and a little hog named Kira who loves pets. It’s really lovely to stay with them. A lot of people came through the campground when I was there for tours or hanging out at the pool but it was a holiday weekend. I enjoyed staying with them a lot and Shane was always so welcoming and accommodating. They have a little mini mart but it’s not a full grocery store, just some cucumbers limes and things but down the street I believe you can find someone selling some more fruits. I second what Dan said that if you have some labor skills I bet he wouldn’t mind having extra hands around to help as he always has a lot of projects going on. It’s a great place to stay to get to know Guyana and Guyanese better as many people hang around the campground. He’s also building it out and will change locations down the road later on.

If you are going Guyana -> Suriname and forgot to add the Suriname insurance at the border you can come here and they will add it for free. It takes only a few minutes and then you can make photocopies at the department store in the mall.

A parking lot in Bauxita, Ouro Preto. We didn't stay overnight. But the space is quite peaceful. There is a snack bar open daily. Owners Beth and Duarte are super friendly and can provide water and power. The location is close to several shops and a bus stop to the historic center.

Um estacionamento na Bauxita em Ouro Preto. Não ficamos à noite. Mas o espaço é bastante tranquilo. Há uma lanchonete aberta diariamente. Os proprietários Beth e Duarte são super simpáticos e podem fornecer água e energia. O local fica próximo a varios comércios e ponto de ônibus para o centro histórico.

Stayed at pocket trail campground overnight $15 totally empty campground, multiple sites right on creek. Very quiet but for a car at 12:15 am. Woke up to the song of a Red eyed vireo at around 6 am. Beautiful park! Drove in from the highway exit at Calhoun and the route takes you over a small mountain with some tight switchbacks on the road. Only staying one night but definitely would stay longer if possible. There is a day use area on the creek and there were a couple cars full of people with kids swimming, I just wish I’d gotten here earlier in the day to join them. It’s a beautiful spot to stop and well worth venturing off the highway, which is the entire point of the exercise anyways! -Space Turtle Trucking

Good car wash, vacuums, short term parking en route to Bar Harbor. Bays are big enough for campers, RVs, fifth wheels, vans, etc

Estacionamento em frente a estação de trem(25,00). Durante a noite não tem vigia, mas parece seguro, alguns ônibusde turismo tb ficam aqui. O Willian, vigia diurno, conseguiu energia em uma casa vizinha (20,00). Tem água do outro lado da rua.

Rest area along the road. Restaurant with lots of options, small supermarket with snacks/noodles/water, toilets with running water.

Resting area with bathroom, little food shops and a medium sized shop with lots of noodles, some snacks, etc.

nice open paved parking lot, no privacy, great cell service, not busy as of 6/8. fishing season probably different, not bad for free...

Je me suis renseigné à l'intérieur et le responsable m'a dit qu'il n'est plus possible de rester pour la nuit avec un VR.

cafe is right off of the road. after Hoh closes the road is very quiet. tent sites are large enough for 4 cars but check their website for changing information. burgers aren't half bad but goodness the price is ridiculous. would be nice for a discount of somesort for campers. I'd recommend this to those that planed Hoh last minute and all other sites are full. this cafe looks to be at 1/2 capacity site wise. all sites have water and electric hook ups but I paid for no hook ups but yet every single site has hook ups. odd. looking at prior reviews, showers included and in immaculate condition; very clean. water was lava hot.

cute campground in the middle of a village. A little busy and exposed for tent camping but good for a nights stay. 10$ for tent spot, camp host was really friendly and lives right across the street, offered us electric for no charge if we needed it. showers are made of plywood and have warning of black widows, which are present in the stalls. Bathrooms are fair ground type. the town itself is really clean and cute. Highly recommend for a cheap spot.

arrived in the evening, staff drove beside me and led me to the last site. very nice and tidy. good amount of trees for the amount of sites but not super private. beach is quite a walk away maybe 10 minutes through a steep yet nice trail. loved it, would do again.

Visited again after 2 years. Not sure what a previous poster experienced but price is €30 per night a double room for 2 people. Clean comfortable rooms, nice bakery directly opposite, off street parking for motorcycles. Vladimir the owner is friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The entrance gate is here: (-20.4250196, 24.5146813) The track there is quite narrow for bigger rigs (18 t). We had to cut some branches.
