Success. In the beginning there was a policeman and the staff ask for my passport. When the policeman walked away she just filled my motorbike for the local price.

We were cycling up this hill, coming from the bridge and searching a place for the night. Because it is so steep, the only options are in the switchbacks. We choose this one, because it was big enough, fairly flat and had sun in the morning. However you could camp in others on the way up as well, just choose the one which fits best with your plans (or your exhaustion). Place is directly besides the road but only a few cars passing (everybody friendly) and no one during the night. Claro 4G reception. |

Beautiful quiet place, but if you are a rule follower, Rule 7 on the board says you can’t erect a shelter or sleep there, and they state you can’t use your vehicle for sleeping, so we headed up the highway to the next test stop. |

Dirty and inconvenient. First you put your clothes in a washer, go back in the store to pay, and then a rather disgruntled looking employee will come to manually turn on the machine. No way to change any settings, you get what you get. Glad I’ll never have to come here again - do not recommend, but with few options in Moose Jaw, I guess this will have to do |

Decent place to park in BA. Parking and park can get very crowded, so best to show up after 9am and before 4pm. For a city, noise is ok. Some gym classes use the parking lot and got a bit snippy after us being there for a week, but everyone else was happy to see us and chat. There were always other campers as well. Garbage around. Drinking water was hit or miss as it did not always work. There are toilets in the rose garden, and the zoo that is further away. |

Past Stokes Castle is a pretty large spot - not level but my 25' class C. Continuing in this direction you eventually come to a "no tresspassing" sign. There are also several places along this road where a van could fit. Along this road, you will also see a road going up the mountain. I walked it - no way my rig would ever make it. IMO, you'd need 4x4 and nothing long. And honestly, the view from this side is nothing special but it is a wide open spot if you can make it up. This road going up the mountain continues and I suspect this is the route coming from the east that has the more desirable view. When I was east of Austin, my GPS routed me on a road that was blocked off no tresspassing. Nit sure which road is which but just be aware there are closures. That said, this was one of the best spots I've ever had. SO. FEW. PEOPLE. So quiet and beautiful view of valley and mountains to the west. There's a store close by with gas so that's a plus too. |

Small AT trailhead parking area. I can’t imagine fitting anything larger than a van here. Busier on the weekends as section hikers use it for parking, but clears out during the week. Not very level but I found a half decent spot. Little to no signal. |

Stopped to stretch legs, breathe in fresh air, & walk the dog. Very well maintained (clean & well manicured lawn & plants), large size (plenty of parking), vending machines, visitor center, etc. There are signs you can stay a maximum of 4 hours which is good if you need a power nap. |
