Stayed here before. Nice spot, cell service good enough to stream data for work purposes. Got a spot with a bit of shade which is nice at site 61.

Great campground. Electric and water. Dump station in campground.

Private campground with access to lake. Water and power available at sites, compost toilets scattered throughout. Shower and bath facilities near office. Wooded and open sites, private. A nice option.

Really clean hotel with hot water, AC, secured parking for motorcycles, wifi and walking distance from the centre. 70sol for a room.

Lovely spot in the woods. As described, just keep going left! Although, if you go right at the forks, you'll find additional pleasant campsites.

Gravel road in is super easy. But g maps took me to the wrong area. You'll want to get off the River Rd onto Pine Ridge Forest Road. There's a small sign, but it's definitely tough to see from the highway.

Stay for a night or two weeks! Mosquitos are awful, neighbors are nice tho.

Parked our two vans here. Don’t expect any issues. Nice quiet open space with a nice walking trail loop

Nice small camp ground with about 7 or 8 sights
Road noise but not too bad. Right on the river with toilets and trash and tables and fire pits. No one was here but it was crowded on a nice day at the river
Verizon was intermittent but slow

Amazing spots for camping. Easy to access and great private sites. No services.

This is NOT wild camping. This is a traditional campground, with a separate camping fee that ranges from $15.50 to $30+, plus the additional $5 day use fee, depending on site type (primitive, including electric/water, etc), that also takes advance reservations.

I initially went to the GPS pin, found it was a boat ramp with children's play area, and had a TON of people there at approx 8:30pm on a Sunday evening. Given I have a roof top tent on my truck, that certainly wouldn't work well for me.

I went back to the front entry area, found the map of campsites, and settled on a site in the Woodland Hills area. Ended up being the only one in the area, but I can still hear considerable ruckus from other areas of the campground (biggest season I don't like campgrounds, and prefer wild camping).

By the time I figured all this out, it was well past dark, which meant I wasn't making dinner.

That said, I AM right by the water, so that's a plus.

This place is no more allowed by the local authorities because of the bad behaviour of to manu campers staying here . The amount of the fine is heavy so don’t come here anymore .

Beautiful location right on the reservoir. Maybe 20 spots, only us and one other here. There are a few campgrounds in the area too.

As of 2024, the water is potable. The propane refill station is no longer available. There is a dump station.

The only station from Puerto Acosta which is supplied with diesel and which agrees to sell diesel to foreigners. The pump attendant and the police officer who watched the station took us past the long line of truck. They agreed to fill our jerry cans with us. The price is 8.8 BS / l.

it's not WiFi. its cell service, biggggg difference. tmobile sucks short of Jackson. morman row was decent on
the main road.

This is a wonderful spot to overnight or stay a few days. Good roads. Easy to find.

I was at this place and everything is the same.

follow the dirt road down (100m). some flat spots on gravel/sand but possible to pitch tent in bush-grass. not for campers, only 4x4. good 4G signal. stunning sunset view over the plains and stargazing. whole night quite, there is no one here appart from signs of shepards passing. there is an old tomb gate that has unfortunately been collapsed. still cool though!

Great little place. As said it's in the abandoned looking yellow building door left of restaurant.
Shoe repair downstairs, materials upstairs.
It's run by 2 deaf guys so language barrier is not a problem. They are absolutely amazing. They repaired my bycicle pannier for 10 som. I tried to pay 20 but they wouldn't accept. Basic equipment but they do their best to help.

nice place, official camping sign, nice shaded picnic table, quite bit from the lake with a good view, forest nearby to provide shade, nice bird hide down at the lake, perfect for cyclists, 4x4, 2x4 can be difficult

Njala Kamp:

Lovely little hotel and restaurant with the most lovely hosts. Big room with bathroom and good breakfast is 70 Lari for 2 people. Also the restaurant serves amazing food. So if you don't sleep here, you should at least stop for lunch or dinner. The hosts speak also very good English.
We could park our 2 motorcycles next to the hotel which was fine. Totally recommended!
