Roadside restaurant/hotel. Reminds me of a motel in North America. Nice clean rooms for 1000SOM per person. Hot shower and good food in the cafe for reasonable pricing. The heated floors in the room are lovely. No wifi but there is a couple bars of service here.

Camped with my tent by the road, under one of the big trees. Peaceful, no one passing. Birdaong and crickets. The branches reach the ground so you can be well hidden if you want, protected from wind. Some noise from the traffic still comes through though.

We parked up here because the places further north were either not to our liking or flooded. This spot is really nice for this area. You park next to the street, or next to the river, but almost no cars passing by. Shelter from the sun underneath the trees and refreshment from cold river water :) also easy to set up your tent here! Slow connection with TCell.

Many places to spend a night or some day closer to the dam. When passing the bridge you have to take the track on the right. There are places to hide if you continue the track, we stay 1 day close to the trees on the track because there is shadow. We spend two nights and nobody bothered us. Coverage with Turkcell somewhat weak but work's.

If you continue the track until the end you will reach a more hidden esplanade and with better access to the river/lake

On the And of the road is a rest area where you can stay for 24hr it’s a Nice places by the river. There is a toilet but for de rest nathing

No sign indicating a $5 fee as indicated from Original Post. Semis also park here, (idling all night). If you have a big rig, arrive by 8PM because the lot was pretty packed by 10. But it's free, flat, and feels safe: I'll stay again. Very fast 5G Verizon.

We stopped yesterday at the end of the day, at this time little movement so we decided to stay overnight here, right in front of the kiosk sweet pleasure, there is a tap at the kiosk, there is no power, bakery next door, grocery store on the same block, police spent several times at night, very quiet at night.

Waterfront pavilion with enough space for a tent. Just ask politely at the restaurant. Down the street are also some community bathrooms for a small donation.

If you are looking for a absolutely stunning bush camp, check out this one. Location situated under an overhanging rock with a piece of grass in front. It’s actually on a farm, about 6 kilometres from the farmhouse. You are there absolutely on your own. No noise except the silently flowing river.
Friendly owner. We payed 120r pp.

very nice and quiet beach.
We arrived on Sunday, and it was pretty much deserted. During the week completely deserted.
there are some boys as guards. friendly people.
Some locals to sell you a coconut or have a chat.
no water when we were there (apparently a pipe just burst when we arrived..). Haggled a little bit for a discount over it. Paid 25usd for 3 days.

We had a lunch at Libassa Ecolodge, the burgers were nothing short of excellent! 👍Even on a Monday when there was nobody.

be careful with the sand. We didn't drive all the way to the restaurant as we didn't want to risk getting stuck. The guys of course said it was nooooo problem at all. Next hour was spent on digging some other guy out of the sand who got stuck.

Paramos aquí porque se nos hizo de noche para cruzar la frontera a Nicaragua. Es un lugar para pasar solo una noche, de pasada.
En las gasolineras cercanas no nos permitían quedar.
El lugar es seguro, no tuvimos inconvenientes.
Es un poco ruidoso durante toda la noche.

We were looking for paneer and could find it here while no other shop in town hadit. Mr. Veg also offers a very good selection of fresh vegetables, mostly better than in any of the big grocery stores. You can find spices, ready meals etc. for the Indian cuisine.
