Beautiful pull off of FR 287. There’s three spots here big enough for two vehicles, but I don’t recommend RVs or larger rigs. Spots have fire rings and very little trash so people are picking up after themselves. Well, except the fire ring. I arrived and the fire ring was still smoking from the last visitors. I placed some dry wood on it and it smoked right away and then lit fire. People, put out your fires. Also, as expected, there was some brass rounds scattered around from recent target shooting. I picked all that up plus additional trash. Overall, beautiful spot with the sound of a running creek beside you. One tip, bring bug spray like OFF or stronger for the biting flies. I will definitely return here.

Love this National Forest Campsite. Small, quiet, no water but vault toilet clean. We didnt have a reservation but was able to find a deserted campsite due to cold temperatures. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for cyclists. Good atmosphere, spot to camp with bathroom (hot showers) and Wi-Fi. What’s else?

I can dry my clothes because they got wet with the fog. Bomberos have been receiving visitors since 2018, they tell me that they usually arrive two per week.

no signs restricting overnight parking. lots of space for lots of different rigs and people here at all hours at the park or driving around so it felt safe in that regard. fairly quiet. lots of signs about break in, not leaving your vehicle etc so be aware of that. and the bathroom situation is dire. only Porta potties and none have hand sanitizer, so be prepared and have a way to clean your hands!!

As described. There is a residence at the end of the driveway before the clearing. We stayed at one of the three spots at side of road leading to the large lot. This was a little more comfortable and private. Keep in mind that the black flies were out in droves. We parked our class B and enjoyed the evening inside looking through the screen. Quiet place and well worth the stop. No one bothered us at all.

Still here, water tap on the white building works, and they have some spray painted plywood and signs labelling the dump station.

As described, the place is very chill, quiet at night, family centered, we felt really safe. The community center next door let me train in their weight room for free (shower included). Be discreet and nice with the neighborhood!

It’s a parking lot in caesars casino . Very quiet , we ‘re parked in the lot at left after the entrance , behind the bridge ,near a little river and grass. Safe and the most quiet night from longtime.

Next to this building with a swimming pool you can find the source of the hot springs and right next to it a perfect place to put your tent.
When you leave the road to go to the house, just take it to the right.
Really nice spot with the sound of the stream (not too loud). The hotspring is not really to bath but you can take some water in a bottle for example to shower you. Water is really hot.
I think you could park your rigs just before the camping spot but it would be less hidden from the route. But as there is so little traffic it could work!

Pleasant site with good facilities in forest near the local mountain railway running from Caernafan to Portmadog. Weak EE cell phone signal, gravel stands with electricity & grass ones without. Push button hot showers all very well maintained, washing & drying machines at additional cost, shop, simple meals to order, bike hire etc. £25 per night for 2 incl. electricity. Good value.

This road is tiring (by bike) for a descent but it is worth it. The canyon is so amazing.
We are in the dry season and it was really easy to cross the river. We crossed two times but the second time was a mistake. We should have gone a bit further down to reach a bridge. It would have been safer.
It is 22kms long and you better do it in the morning in my opinion because of the wind that is pretty strong in the afternoon. If you have the choice 😉
Enjoy the adventure!!

It is a very good place to stay overnight in either direction. Rest before heading to Lagos or taking on the custom direction Benin.
Paster Rome welcomed us to stay. It's a very safe place, and we are allowed to use the bathroom and athe shower in one of the rooms.
It's important you leave the place clean, like you found it and please don't be cheap, leave a decent donation. They don't get government money.

Hidden gem!

A lovely spot to stay for the night with breathtaking scenery. We parked down by the fencing (not in the gravel car park) where there is a gap you can squeeze through to get the full view. It was in a bit of a dip so you aren't visible from the road. Very quiet and little traffic during the night. Perfect for one night.

Little Parking Lot on the Blind Bay Rd. No signs that camping is not allowed. Stayed here for one night. Some traffic because it's next to the street but was ok. Place for two smaller campers or one big.

Can confirm the the dump station is still there and still free. There are also bathrooms. Not clear whether the water by the dump is potable so we went to the Smith's gas station for a fresh water fill up.

There is no tax for the mountain. On top there is a camping area including a restaurant called “Klotoland”. You have to enter their property to reach the highest point. No problems with the people and a nice panoramic view.

Turnout area along road to campground with camp/tent sign. Nice quiet spot away from all the weekend campground noise. Room for a few tents and cars in the shade. Verizon cell coverage is 3-4 bars. Some road traffic on Campground Rd and highway below. Birds singing all around. Previous residents had a fire pit of sorts.
