just as everyone else says. This is an official rest area though no facilities. Just a parking area. there is a sign that says it is for truck parking so please do not take up their spaces, they are working, we are playing.

A small harbor in the nature reserve. You can see some animals like Caiman, Capybara and lots of birds. Boat tours and kayaking adventures start from here. It‘s worth it. Nearby is a nice 4,5 km walking track through the nature. There is enough space for overnight stays in the parking lot and on the access road, including for big trucks. The road from Concepcion is mainly solid sand. When it is dry, it is passable by any vehicle. After heavy rain, it could become muddy.

See nearby park office to pay $10 fee. Sani-dump plus 2 water taps. Would be slightly difficult for a big unit to access. No problem for our Class B. Nice facility.

Awesome! Is on a steep gravel road, but it wasn’t too bad! Just a little bumpy in areas. The spots were a good size and absolutely gorgeous with perfect stream access! All spots were accessible with 2WD high clearance, but to get further in away from the road you’d need 4WD. It does get a little bit more traffic than we expected but still a fairly quiet spot.

Cost of $12 for the campsite and $5 to enter big bend ranch state park (different from big bend national park). Gravel roads in the campsite. Lots of sand as well. If entering after the visitor centers close without a reservation, you can fill out a slip, stick it on your windshield, camp, and return to pay when the visitor centers open up (at least this works in the offseason when few people use the campgrounds. Not sure if this is possible in peak season and spots are all reserved).

Flat place near the road, very quiet almost no car. there is a river next to the spot. Good stop before crossing the 4800m pass.

Big sandy parking. A lot of people were here to watch the sunset; dirt bikes and other buggys but left around 09:30-10:00PM for most of them.
Windy which is good to cool down after a very hot day and have a nice sleep.
Great view on the sunset.
Not facilities - good reception.

Not a bad spot if you don’t mind the highway noise. Good for big rigs.

Check pictures. I just stopped by the spa and it definitely does not seem suitable for anything other than short wheelbase four-wheel-drive vehicles. The hill is very steep and narrow. I uploaded two pictures of the road going down to the site.

Nice glen, with only a little mud. Lots of space for our Class A and toad. Could probably fit 5 or 6 others in easily. There's a little highway noise but not much, otherwise very tranquil.

Great place, right next to a beautiful lake, several spots there and a large sandy area just off the road. There were 3 of us down by the lake, and 4 others up by the road. Very nice.

I came here around 8:15pm and all the spots were taken. However, these are great campsites with a few bars of Verizon cell service. Some of them have a nice view of an overlook. The road was rough, but only in the sense that there were lots of potholes. We used 2WD all the way up.

Stayed here during the midnight sun fest which was just a bike ride away.
One of the last reliable ioverlander spots in Fairbanks since Walmart shut theirs down a few days ago due to the few who ruined it for everyone. Please take care of this place! Use the porta potties and trash bins near the baseball field. Leave no trace!

Beautiful grassy hill right above the village with a gorgeous panorama into a wide valley. Several flat spots available.

Steep ascent on grass, but doable with 4x4. Use the new bridge to avoid the ford crossings.

4G available; you’ll find a water spring down in Roshka.

The owners are overlanders themselves and are happy to share stories about their adventures!
They don’t accept camping!

Really great owner and delicious food. He lives in Colombia for 23 years, still speaks fluent German and makes the impression to help where he can.
