Not exactly the best for tent camping. The only place offered is in parking lot which gets flooded everyday from the rains. Charged $9 euros per night, $75 srd for laundry, and soup for example was $325 srd.
For fresh food, fresh fruits and veges not too many options around, you have to drive for a bit and maybe you’ll find something. Wifi worked fine, you can work at the tables in the restaurant (low season) and charge your devices. Some of the waiters were really sweet. Cold showers. Line to dry clothes in the sun. Electricity outlets also in the parking lot for vans. Peaceful views of the river from the restaurant.

Suriname -> French Guiana:
Pull up to white gate, they will open, pull moto to the side, give your Suriname TIP, go inside to get passport stamped, done, wait for ferry.
Not much to do or buy while you wait for ferry. There is a small shop on the other side of gate before you enter if you want to buy snacks and water.

Must look up ferry schedule ahead of time. It changes every week. There is a link somewhere online. It’s normally running only in the mornings and late afternoons. The schedule will tell you the hours for example 8-10am thu and 7-11am Friday. During the window, the ferry runs every 30 minutes or so.

Beautiful location!! far enough from the road but easy to get to. quiet with stunning views. in the morning at around 8:00 a.m. Though just a heads up, in the morning an old lady comes knocking at your door asking for some money, so we gave her four soles and she was on her way.

Be careful! 2 bigs holes in the road, no signals and the road is authorized at 110km/h. The car in front of us flattened at least one tire.

attention, 2 gros trous qui se suivent de quelques mètres sur la route. il n'y a aucun panneau de signalisation. la route est autorisée à 110km mais ralentissez bien !
la voiture devant nous a crevé au moins 1 pneu !

A beautiful quiet place by the lake Rannsjön. Getting there is no problem for any means of transport. The spot is accessible by ‘dirt road’. The ‘owners’ built a shelter and the fireplace including a grill. They wish that the place is treated with respect and no rubbish is left behind. Fire is only to be made in the existing fire place - and please stick to that! Wood is available and the semi open shelter has a table and benches in it. The spot has room for (max.) 3 rigs.

A place w a large room with bunk beds. Not the nicest. I was there during low season and no one was there. I asked to pitch my tent on the property. She said yes. Wanted $20 euro. Talked her down to $10. Probably worth $5 or less. Right across the street from the beach. To be honest didn’t feel the safest here. Probably because the woman told me how it wasn’t so safe so it got in my head. Didn’t see any turtles in June. Sunrise and sunset were very nice. Some picnic tables on the beach. Definitely better spot for vans and it didn’t feel so tent friendly or so safe.

There are a bunch of restaurants here right along the water with a nice relaxing vibe if you want a spot to just chill and have a beverage for a moment. Everything was expensive but you can have a fresh juice for $4-5 euro. You can just park your moto in from or parking spot around the corner.

Best day to come here is sundaymorning. All women and man wear their folklore clothes and go to the mass in the church near the ruines. Great for pictures. In the Mundo Alpacashop is a watertap if you ask.

Super nice campsite with pit toilets and some tables. There are quite a few sites for campers of all sizes, strewn around and nicely spaced. The view of the lake and the mountains in the background is amazing, for example at sunset. (no camp spot right at the waterfront though, you'll have to walk ~50m) We stayed here one night and it was very calm, surprisingly few people for such a nice place. You can sometimes hear loud trucks passing by on the road but not the normal cars. The road down is somewhat bumpy but probably doable in normal 2WDs.
