Great little camp for one night. Very quiet and good atmosphere. A few horses but they've never came close. The access road is in dirt but in good condition. No problem for 2wd.

no need to go to the city ferry office anymore. All registration, payment and paperwork can be done here. They are very slow and disorganised but it does happen,,,, eventually.

There is only secure parking for MC's. The secure yard is used by a food company situated in the same building so not possible to park other than on the street. Sleeping in your vehicle would be extremely noisy. Busy road. Didn’t stay.

we stayed here safe for one night. as described before. if you want to cross the river there is a big basket at a cable. we were not so advangerous, but locals used it.

Good paved older style road with a few fixed potholes apart from about one hour before Atyrau when for 10-15 kms it has sections removed and needs slow going otherwise bumpy most of the way. We averaged 70-80 kmph most of the way. Plenty of fuel stations but not much of interest to see apart from livestock and camels.

I would not recommend this place. I had some bent forks and a seal that needed replacing on my motorcycle. He told me it would take a day or two. It's been 5 days and the motorcycle looks the same as the day I brought her in. Don't do it.

Out of Oral the road is very good for the first couple of hours, then it gets bumpy and some potholes for a few hours ( av. 60kph) then it gets better half way to Aktobe to av. 70-80 kph or more if you are like the locals. Not much to see.

We passed through this town twice. This is much nicer and cheaper than Arna, the hotel we stayed at the first time.

Pros: Kind and engaging family run this campground; flat, grassy camping area, within walking distance to the equator. Cons: only bathroom is in the family home right off of the main lounge (construction of new bathroom in camping area appears to have halted); wifi wasn't working while we were there. Considering all, we had a pleasant stay for one night.

No more trampling on the Azerbaijan flag, but still worthwhile. The lady that was working there can suggest local homestays for $10/night - much cheaper than the hotels.

Good place for a campervan, slightly less so for a tent as you're pitching right on the dirt parking area. that being said, plenty of room and nobody will bother you once the tourists are gone for the day.

Pemex gas station with apace for big rigs. Staff not really friendly but they let us stay overnight. As it was getting dark, one employee charged us 50 pesos, negotiated to 30.

Very nice hotel, good shower/wifi/beds. No single rooms though (what I understand), making it slightly expensive for solo travellers. Smallest room is a 2 beds room for 6000 tenge, but it was taken and I ended up paying 8000 tenge for a langer room with 1 double bed.

Clean and well established campground. $39 USD per night is a tad high but comes with full hookups, bathrooms, and lots of great trails. Helpful staff and one to two bars of t-mobile service.

Ahhhh this place is so great!

To get here I walked 48km and was exhausted!! I was met at the gate pictured and shown in to a fresh pot of coffee!! The owner is extremely kind and accommodating.

The campground is out of the coastal gales, completely fenced in and dog friendly so you don’t have to worry about your dog escaping. Mine played with theirs for 24hrs!

They have a common lounge and kitchen inside, amenities for washing clothes and free cold showers or paid hot showers. A lot of little tables and chairs at the campsites too.

The whole town is on sand so expect to be camping on sand or if your desperate to be free of sand they have rooms upstairs for 12500 cp.

I’m really glad I stayed here. I feel totally secure and relaxed and am happy to have the family company (3 generations).

Nice park near Spenard Rec Center at end of dead end street. Very quiet until morning when warehouse next door opens (early). No signs of no parking nor of park closing time. There are gates at the entrance but they stayed open. Not for RVs or big rigs because there is no way to turn around once in.

We were mostly the only guests here. Quiet place and very sympatic owners. We could use the hot showers of a bungalow. Price 100 pesos per person. 2 km away are two little shops to cover the daily needs.

Lovely spot, stayed for 3 nights before La Paz for some surfing. Waves were too big for us but maybe good if you're experienced? Still gorgeous beach. No facilities so bring everything you need. Were approached for a camping fee on one of the nights, 50 pesos PP. Road in from km82 was fine in our 2wd van, just don't stop on the sandy parts and you'll be fine but slow down on the washboard parts - we gained a new rattle!

Actually it's probably the nicest place around. Checked the other two places prior to this. Price is ridiculously high (1500 for one night). The parking space is gated. Check rooms before you check-in. Some have no toilet seats, other have no running water. It's ridiculous. It would be so easy to brush this place up.
On the fun side: it was probably the best check in that took me the longest time ever.
