Nice little picnic rest stop off hwy 1. It's a local fishing spot. A couple other campers are here as well as a bunch of cute ducks! Some hwy noise.

Do not park in front of yellow gate. I made the same mistake as the previous reviewer. Security guy in yellow car woke me up on my tent and asked me to move my car a little after midnight- apparently they want access to the gate 24/7 in case of emergency. Great place for tent camping on top of hill if you walk past gate and go straight uphill on the left. Soft moss everywhere and was very comfortable.

Gorgeous campground with super friendly owner! Campsite next to the clear river with waterfalls! Perfect for swimming. Much nicer then dodidi campground. 20r per person per night, highly recommended

Nice spot. sites are big and you can walk to the river. $20 CAD and 8 for firewood when you can have fires. pit toilets. trains didn't bother me.

Very nice and quiet, easy to get to. Peaceful place would come back for sure.

As described, $20, flush toilets, electric to sites, tables, water, hot shower (25 cents for 5 minutes). Bit of road noise and train noise.

Quote only is 60USD which will be deducted if they do the work but for me with an older Toyota this is a workshop that is too expensive.

we arrived border at 12 00 and we get three stemps and just open my car door and look something ask something. it's very easy
it just takes about 30minute after car check we took passport control it takes just 5min. thank you for mongolian's kindness byebye

Awesome spot, would never have found without ioverlander. We we're only campers, only the entrance dude and a couple of rangers around. We kept right after entrance, ignored left turn and went to the end where there are a bunch of spot and very clean chemical toilet. Also a tiny stream clean enough for our solar shower bag.

Brilliant! A quiet spot for the middle of the city. There are two beautiful hotels but they do watch you come in and out so probably have to be careful how often you use the facilities. We parked in P7 and the gates were open the whole time so it was free for our 24 hours there

A wonderful stopover near Tapalpa with a killer view from their on site restaurant. the owners are great, as is the manager Loren, very sweet and good English spoken alongside easy to understand Spanish. WiFi available, well water also available and they have a laundry too alongside a hot shower and clean toilets. pizza lovers will enjoy the wood fired pizza oven and tasty thin crust pizzas.

The old town of Atyrau is much more quiet as the new city with high buildings.
We parked at the parking of « old town city hall ». The building is brand new and there is tarmac. Some locals came in the evening to look at the campervan, they were nice. Very few noise (dogs barking as usual). The next morning, we asked the people working at the city hall to refill our water tanks. They very kindly à accepted and ended up with taking a picture in front of the campeevan

Great place! Very quiet, beautiful view, fireplace and cold drinking water. We haven’t seen so many stars at night on any other place! The road to the monastery is pretty steep so 4x4 is needed!

Large parking for camper vehicles. Overnight staying is allowed. No facilities, except for a sanitary dump station. Official parking for the chateau, which is definitely worth a visit (take at least half a day for this). Quiet at night, large spaces. Rate is €11 per vehicle per 24 hours for vehicles higher then about 2,1 m. €4 or €6 for smaller vehicles,depending on how close you park to the chateau.
A few km north are several car parks in the surrounding park where you can leisure and go on walks in the beautiful park.

Plenty of space for many tents in a sandy grassy spot in a plain terrain over the river. Calm at night and nice view of the mountains and stars. No one showed up.

If you coming back from travelling the world or you make a stop over in the historic part of Zürich and want to eat the best Fondue, Raclette or other Swiss Specialities, you should go to this beautyfull Restaurant. Martin, the General Manager, travelled the Panamericana by LandCruiser for almost 3 years, until April 18. He loves to meet and talk to Overlander.
