Big Campground with lots of all year campers. Enough pitches left for others. Very quiet and near to the river Main. We paid 19 Euro for two persons a camper and a dog. Good Restaurant.

Take the track just before the road bends to the right. Keep driving until you see an iron cross. We stopped right next to it. Beautiful views all around. Very quiet.

Station with good (new) ameneties. Good showers (free), cold portable water to take, excellent lunch buffet, very strong WiFi (4G), power plugs everywhere, Coffee-shop, car wash. we did not sleep here, but there are several possibilities, some even under a shady roof.

Very nice waterfall with blue and transparent water. from the community (San Agustin de Ahuehuetla) you walk about 50 minuts following the nice river.

fantastic place to base for gorilla tracking of Volcano climbing. allowed us to pitch tents on the grass 7000pppn. very friendly staff we staying 4 nights so will update again on how it went

They charge you much more than other local touring offices. An example: in the camping the price for boat cruise is 270bwp, instead of 180bwp at the small Nkwe agency in the town (the boat is exactly the same one).

As mentioned below, we saw more than 5 types of hummingbirds here all daytime. They are within 2m! Could not see toucans but this is so beautiful place!!

Follow signs for Ferronor. Once there you can use the parking lots of the station (the ones marked "visitas"). You can also park on the public street northwest of the station but we felt safer here.

You can visit the big round metal building, there are some signs that say "acceso museo" leading to it but they're not very clear.

There's a deposit still in use that clearly says "Prohibido el ingreso", don't go there.

Finally, there are many abandoned wagons just laying on the railways, you can visit those too.

There are some people working here but no one in charge of the museum apparently, we just went right in (free).

Great place if you're into trains or photography. Otherwise it may not be of your interest as there is no information or guide.

I think this place doesn't deserve a warning, it's a normal toll with standard prices for standard vehicles.
As of September 2018 the price for cars, vans and SUVs is still 1800 CLP.

Welcome to Schrödinger's dump station, we've passed through four times in the first four weeks. First time it was closed,
second time it was unlocked but overflowing so we didn't dare use it.

One week ago it was locked again, the water was off and they had a sign saying it was winterized for the season. Today we came back, no sign, no blockage, open dump station, working water.

It's on the highway, it may be open, it may not be, who knows. Pop by and check.

$11/night. Free showers, pretty lake. Water. Pretty wide open but most of the sites were empty when we were here.

This place is awesome! And a better option than nearby wayra if you don't mind the lack of secure parking.
