Craft beer joint with 10 craft beers from the area on tap and 150 beers in cans/bottles from around the world. Put down the Escudo and get over here!

The hamburgers are pretty good (they have veggie burgers as well) and they also have tablas.

Restaurant with huge truck stop. We stopped at the back, very far from the road and the trucks.

Good meal at the little restaurant : 20 Q / plate (chicken or beef / rice / verdura).

Toilets
Shower
Tv where there are hammocks.
Possibility to refill water at the fausset before leaving.

25 Q / night / vehicule.

Super nice family at the restaurant running the area.

Perfect for our first stop after the border, going to the bank, buy tigo cards for the phone and go to the market.

Arrivals at the market are on Friday !

Well if you don't have a vaccination card, they have to vaccinate you here against MMR. Apparently this is due to the recent influx of refugees. We didn't want to because the nurse didn't even have a badge. Great. But they wouldn't stamp us in unless without it. This applies to travelers from all countries.

Camping in the hills with a beautiful view over the valley. We came from the kazarman pass towards jalal-abad. This was the first track off the main road coming from the pass that wasn’t fenced off or leading to a house/yurt/wagon. Take the track leading up to the trees in a u-bend in the road. You can stay between the trees for shelter but it’s not very leveled. We drove higher up to find a more leveled spot (towards the left). You might need 4x4 (we used low gear at some point). Very quiet and well off the road. A man on horse passed us in the morning. No water.

There’s no bridge, the river crossing was quite high end of september, so probably not feasible for most of the year. We got water inside (defender 110). You need high clearance because of the rocks. The road is also pretty horrible so I’d strongly advise against the short cut between Lenin and Charbak/Ogon-Talaa. 4x4 and high clearance only if you still decide to go.

Nice spot with a view on the lake . Quiet at night . We saw so much garbage on the little trail we thought it is a shame that people do not respect those places anymore . We, overlander, need to keep those quiet spots clean so they don't forbid overnight parking . Anyway it is a good flat spot and we had a wonderful drink and dinner at sunset .

As described before, beautiful views of the lake from the campground. Possibility to camp next to the lake or in the bigger parkings. Just a few other rigs when we were here. Two pit-toilet buildings. Poor AT&T reception. No bears.

As described before, beautiful scenery conviniently located to visit the Exit Glacier. Some trucks came at dusk and started shooting their guns while playing loud music (it was Friday night). After a few hours they left and we had a good night of sleep. No need of 4wd if you stay close to the entrance. No AT&T reception.

Very nice place to spent a few nights. The water was completely calm. Toilets were closed at night during off-season (October). We did not surf but was great anyways. Good spot to meet other overlanders. Gate closes at 6pm, after that you'll need to convince the night guard to open it for you.

We walked around town and decided to have lunch here.
Gilbert was very welcoming and whilst we sat reading the menu, with a beer, he brought chorizo which was cooking on the nearby BBQ.
After lunch and whilst finishing another beer Gilbert brought us a small dish of ceviche to accompany our drink.
Nice touch to an enjoyable lunch.

ADMIN NOTE: this post edited because of profanity.
Sorry to say that but this guy is an a-hole.
I brang to him my alternator (because he didn't want to remove it himself). I came for a noisy bearing.
He opened it broke 3 bolt and after he said i can't do anything you need to find a hydraulic press or a new parts.
He said that he know someone that sell american parts but didn't want to call him for asking, didn't want to tell me where i can find a hydraulic press.
So i came with a working but noisy alternator and got out with a alternator that i cannot re install because he broke 3 bolt and didn't want to replace them neither.
Such the worst service i ever had. He were just not giving a single F... even if i knew that i had no truck to move.

Drove up here for the view. This doesn’t belong on iOverlander. While there are no signs of no overnight, this is a popular viewing of Vancouver and is VERY busy all night.

If you are looking just for a place to shelter from the cold or the rain it is ok as the sheets are clean, but the toilets are quite filthy and there is only one shower which you have to ask to get it open and conected and takes an hour before it is hot. They didn’t turn on the heater not even during the night And of course no Wi Fi. But at least the sheets were clean, so we slept ok. They asked for 40 000 for the room, tried to bargain but it didn’t work

Price is now 20bs pp, showers and bathrooms not so clean, we were able to park next to the large covered concrete floored shelter. High vehicles may have to lift electrical wires on property, we are 2.4 meters and didn’t have to move any.
