Indeed a good place to spend a night - very quiet and clean (lots of clean pit toilets and trash bins). When we wanted to pay the told us entrance and camping is free during the weekend. We stayed at the palapa No 13 which is a little higher as the surrounding area and gives you a nice view out to the water - heard the whales blowing and saw them far in the distance in the channel. They do not come close to this part of the bay as it us to shallow.

At the wharf below the malecon the yellow colored place will take you on a boat ride to the confluence with the Meta River to see pink dolphins. 100,000cop for four of us. Tour took a little less than two hours total. Ride on the boat maybe 20 minutes each way, and we spent an hour plus watching the dolphins swirl about in a protected eddy.

Price update: 500 Pesos per person. Valid for 3 days including camping at the laguna.

We got here on a rainy day so the lot was empty and we had our pick of spots. 4G Vivo signal. Easy beach access.

interesting experience

Not a commercial place--I was driving by and saw this amazing traditional underground Berber house and stopped by. The owner invited me in and showed every room of the house. Be sure to check out the water collection system and cistern. Also some wartime remnants like a jerrycan and an unexploded mine. Lots of traditional Berber rug patterns to see. Cactus fruit is in season in February.

Happily tipped him 5 dinar and and 1 extra for the cactus fruit, which he seemed very happy about.

RO-RO ferry runs 24/7, continuously during the day and with less frequency at night. Six boats running simultaneously during peak hours. Price is very cheap for cars and trucks. Motorcycles can skip to the front of the line and it's FREE!!!

A holder of our exhaust was broken. This place was recommended by several people and indeed Jose started right away and solded it back on. And he also fixed a broken splint we had for a long time. We paid Mx 200. Recommended.

Good for a night, easy to drive to if you enter a bit more from the south. Enough space for at least 3 vans. No cell reception.

We stayed here for one night with a 24 feet, very quiet night, it's fine for one night. We arrived late and left early. Free.

Very lovely cabins, tiny house style in a bus. They have the bus cabins for 1 person or couple for $30.000. The admin is very worried, asked a few times if we needed anything and for that she would be around. Perfect for when you're tired of camping and need a good bed rest with a roof.

Had to register with Security even for one night but no problem.
Unfortunately really noisy with trucks, trains, planes and people cleaning their camper at 4am in the morning. Would not go here again.

Called and they said any vehicle over 7feet 2inches is good to park here. (We have a low roof sprinter). Nice quick walk into town and free until 10PM. No camping over night. Find another place out of town.
