Very nice spot with amazing views. Unfortunately, we drove down the Aslanta to buy some food and could not drive up the same rocky road with our 2WD camper.
In the end we slept here: 42.683939, 46.102614

Since our 2WD camper did not manage to drive back up the rocky road to our first bivouac, we slept here. The views are amazing too.

We spend one amazing day at this nice place. The owner-family are very kind hosts, they invited us for cafe and dinner in their house.
Some of them speak english, so we had a good conversation. We stood on a grassy field, it was very quiet at night. It is a 10-
minute-walk to the Äquator-Line from here. Highly recommended.

Nice, clean and new hostel with small parking lot that can fit up to 4 mid-sized rigs 20 per person breakfast included. Small pool. Grassy patch. Close to the beach. Nice staff.

Second time in Mallki, great vibe place, people super friendly, great location, cheap and fun, Free parking for 2 motorcycles, maybe more garage if you ask

dirt road in national forest. this spot is just a pullout but it looks like other people may have camped here as well. there are similar places along the road. nothing spectacular, but good for a night.

Almost leveled parkinglot. Great view to laguna colorada. Toilet for 5 bol if ranger is on spot.

Good to have a relaxed bath in the very nice and warm pool. Some almost level ground to spend the night.

Since April 2018 the Ranch Meia Lua has new owners. The new team is very effcient and very friendly. The site as well as the bungalows which can be rented are spotless clean, a very pleasant spot to relax.

Nice quiet market just off the road. We ate a menu. Had a shower for 2 soles ( cold). Then bought grocery and some other things we needed at this market

We had a quiet night at the parking lot of fort Faulkner ( Fuerte Coquimbo).
It's a dead end and during the week there's hardly no traffic in the offseason.
Don't know about the weekend or high season.
The "fort" has no entry fee, a nice view over the sea and bay and closes at 19:00.

We arrived at 17:30 on a Wednesday and asked the rangers if we could stay for the night just outside the entrance gate for the night. It was very quiet and safe.
The park is only open from Thursday to Sunday from 9:00 to 15:00
Only during the holidays it's open 7days a week.

Small fuel station with no Level spot at a busy crossroad. Hardly any space for parking, very noisy.

Seems to be one of the few places for a night-over, but don't be late. We arrived 16.00h and got the last slot between the many trucks.

Great place to spend a Night. A lot of nice spot to camp.

Be aware of time zones. Open at 7 am CR; 8 am panama time. Closes at 5;6. We were able to sleep by the police on the CR side and do the paper work in the morning. Quiet and safe at night. Toilets inside immigration otherwise by the bus station. Small supermarket and soda.

Terrible border!! Big mess and confused steps!! Pay attention to duration of your stay! Due they set exactly what you filled in the arrival form. If you don't have nothing to declare, after immigration and passport checks just go to the white container to pay the Cross border charge for the car (295 N for a sedan, can pay with rands), which document you must keep till the end of your visit. Didn't ask for the Namibia permit of our vehicle, but yes they did at the exit of SA (Nakop border).

Confused border too. Staff no so friendly. Polices are cool!! They checked the car, but no so much. No veggies no fruits allowed! They ask for the vehicle permit for Namibia/South Africa. More strict with forms than other borders in SA.

great place. owner is very accommodating. the best HOT shower we've had in a while.

asked manager as well. A little hesitant but let me stay one night. A little noisy till they closed at 12 but no issues other than that.

Huge shady place. Facilities are minimal but OK. The staff is really nice and want the best for you.
130ppN is a bit overpriced. To reach the camp you have to cross a river (keep right left it is fairly deep). The acessroad is very sandy.

We asked and they said no. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING!

Everything iPushpedals said. Place was awesome, family amazingly nice and welcomed right into their family. They have twin five year olds that played all day with our five year old, showing him all the animals on the property. Trek to river is really nice, and watching the fireflies in the jungle from the camper window out was a great way to fall asleep. 40 bs pppn, electric included. Might be 35 without electric. Clean bathrooms.

agreed, incredible spot and spectacular drive to get to. no 4x4 needed unless bad weather or really wet.
