There is a height restriction of 275 cm if you want to use their parking. No restriction for width or length. Excellent hostel.

The run down feel is a thing of the past. It is very clean and well taken care of. FYI: No telcel reception and still no wifi. Very beautiful sunrises. Still $100p/p.

the place is very central comma close to the supermarket. there is no heating but the roof is very low and the dorm in under the a pitched roof so that it's warmer. There are also heatings to plug in. 15.000 now for a bed in a 5 dorm, breakfast included (fruits, tea/coffee, bread with cheese)

Good place to stay - all as described and we paid $150 for one night for a couple of adults in a van. If they offer a key then take it - they locked the gate earlier than they said they would which was a bit disappointing when I needed the loo at 21.30. Wished then that I'd accepted a key!!

spent the night at Cocos and so happy that we did. Such a generous man who just wants people to be happy and enjoy themselves. It was a cold night so he insisted we stay in one of his campers instead of our tent and cooked inside his kitchen. Even if you don't spend the night stop by, grab a drink and have a chat.

Parking lot of the new way to get to the Rainbow mountain.
We spent the night there, to go to the rainbow mountain before the first collectivo ( 7 am ). It was really cold at night, had some snow and hail.
You should definitely go to the Valle Roja, after the rainbow mountain. For us, it was nicer, and we were lonely to enjoy the view. The parking lot is really crowded from 8 am to 3 pm.
We were with friends who camped in the parking lot.
It's a 2 hours drive from the road, on dirt road, but it was a ok with our VW T2.
It's 10 soles pp for the rainbow, and 5 soles pp for the Valle Roja.

They sell stuff for camping, like bottle and detendeur for Campingaz. Stuff for fishing. But they cannot refill the bottle, there is another place, I put a flag.

We can refill or bottle of campingaz 907 for 8$. They don't need adaptator.

We stayed at Rita’s place for a couple of night. Very basic but everything you need. Rita is so welcoming and felt very at home straight away. Stayed in a twin room because the only double was taken, clean shared bathrooms and a huge living area. We didn’t use the kitchen to cook but you could! Would really recommend.

Très bel endroit, les RV sont stationnés face à la mer, la plage est à une vingtaine de mètres. Accueil moyen, 300$Mex pour deux. À Bahia pas de réseau AT&T ni Telcel, pas de WiFi au camping. L’eau des douches doit se chauffer au soleil, donc en ce moment l’eau n’est pas chaude, juste pas glacée...

Old Posto Mendez (new station 1km closer to Israelândia) offering huge forecourt, shelter under canopy or amongst trees at rear. Lanchonete and small convenience kiosk open at midday only.

Toilet and shower, water taps and laundry sinks next to forecourt.

Access to river. I think local anglers were using 'fishing' as an excuse for beers ;-)

Showers also available at posto on western side of 'town'.

If you want a day or more's rest and with small shops within walking distance, this is better than many.

Gomeria but also a mechanic which makes oil changes and other things.

Had to replace a seal at the axle because she was not tight, has lost oil. The mechanic made a good job, was they only one which could repair it right away. All the other mechanics that we asked had to order parts from Punta Arenas. Seems likes he knows was he’s doing. Paid CLP 40‘000$ for 1.5h of work. I think it‘s a little bit too expensive but i can‘t really assess it.

120pesos for two persons and a campervan. All the youth of Zapala comes here during the day to play by the swimming pool so it's loud, but ok. By 10pm there are just the campers left. Hot shower and toilets, can get dirty during the day as there are many people, but otherwise ok. Good place to stay for the night

Good place to refill gas canisters. They seem to sell some as well but smalles is 9 kg.

We bought a new 3kg gas canister here and in their camping section they had a great selection of chairs, plates, pots and pans etc.

I am not sure if the location I inputted is 100% accurate as we lefr before I could add it, however if you are on the main road with the Land Cruiser garage on the corner on your right (which is also in ioverlander), you make a left at that intersection right before the Land Cruiser Garage, and you will find Trans Hyper on your right hand side.

Beautiful isolated beach-no one here but us! Amazing bird feeding in the morning-hundreds of them in a frenzy! A bit windy at times, expected for time of year. Built our own fire pit & found plenty of wood as well as beautiful seashells.

it was closed when we arrived today, one man inside fidnt seem to know when it would be open again. Not sure if its permanent but we were unable to stay.

We got stopped and they tried to get us to pay for not having an orange triangle in the car. He said he was going to keep the license, I told him he was not allowed to and in the regulations it says we need to have a ticket written and we pay it at the bank. He said he would keep the license until we got back, I told him he was not allowed and he got angry and said he would ask his boss. He came back and told us we could go and said have a nice trip. (This whole interaction was in Spanish they seem to speak no english.)

Muy lindo lugar! Espacio para estacionar y armar la carpa. Baños, agua. Menú a 15.000$. Dueños muy amables. Seguro y tranquilo. Hermosa vista a la Laguna.

Big parking free for trucks. After or Before the border. Possibility shower, wc and restaurant. Good for one night, very quiet.

Great place to stay. Excellent location, safe and quite. The Castillo family was the best host. Very recomended!!
