Someone in town recommended this place. It was packed with locals on a Sunday afternoon and rightfully so. It was fantastic. $200 pesos for two, and we could have taken leftovers.

From the paved road, you come through the beach access Rd 2 directly on the beach. The sand is very hard packed, so you can drive with any vehicle on the beach- from bicycle til big RV- no 4WD necessary. On the beach you have two options.

Right hand (South direction) you have an beach with FREE parking and it's allowed to stay overnight, stay after the marker 104, then the beach controll don't care about you .On the right side, you only have garbage bins.

Left hand (North direction) , you will need an 'Beach parking permit'. You can get this for example at the Walmart customer service (https://www.cctexas.com/services/general-government/beach-parking-permits) it costs 12$ and is valid a whole calendar year.On the left side you will find then garbage bins and porta pottys. You can drive up 8 miles long and searching a nice place. it's allowed to stay on one place max. 3 days. For me in the winter time, it was very nice. In the summer I think it will be very hot. There is no shade at all! I stayed here now in whole 6 nights in my Campervan, nobody borderd me.

Very nice place and friendly guy with his 3 kids. He explained everything but he can't speak any words in english. Very good cheese to normal moderat prices. try onion and garlic (sebolla y ajo)

we parked here one night, no one approached us. we parked between the pemex and the 24hr restaurant, that has toilets..not the cleanest but better than none.

Beautiful place to stay! The cost for high season is 7,000 CLP I never been in one place like this, with a beautiful landscape, sheep's beautiful river for swimming and be relaxed, hostess are Jose, Dayana and Sami their beautiful daughter! They have a coffee and a delicious lemon pie. The bathrooms are very clean like others places, very recommend for families and couples I meet a lot of cyclists in this place 🤗

Nacho and Sandra are one of the best camping hosts in south america. They are very friendly and helpful.

Lot of camping space arround the salt lake. So you can find a place for yourself. There are a few sanitary facilities with cold shower. You have to pay 150ARS for enter the “park”. There are some flamingos :-) Nice and secure.

great little place, had the tacos, wife had the shrimp ceviche. i think i preferred the ceviche (i guess i like my sea food uncooked)

Bathrooms were clean and there was portable water where you can fill your water jugs and/or hook up your hose for your water tanks.

There are a few pullouts of the highway a few miles north or this restaurant area where there are water spigots (blue signs on highway). I stopped at one and it only trickled water and it also had what appeared to be the wrong attachments/adaptors, possibly PEX which were hard to get off.

you can stop and rest in your vehicule there. No services. I would not pish my luck and install a tent here.

We drove the road from Urique to Choix in our 97’ Subaru Outback after being told in Urique that our car would have no problem making the trip. In hindsight, I wouldn’t do it again. Exactly as the previous entry states, the road is brutal, remote, dangerous at times and stunningly beautiful. The beauty doesn’t quite make up for the stress we encountered throughout the drive. It took us 2 whole days of driving to complete the trip (about 12 hours). It probably would have been much better in a vehicle with larger tires and a higher clearance. I wouldn’t recommend this road to anyone driving during the rainy season, as there are a few areas crossing the river. A local informed us that it is very dangerous for vehicles to cross when the river is high. We completed the drive without any major problems but our car certainly suffered. Be aware that there is only one gas station along this road (previously bookmarked). Carry a sufficient amount of cash, spare tire and be cognizant of your fuel consumption.

Go à little bit further at the end of the gravel road then you will find the best place to sleep with your motorhome in town. We stay 3 night and was always quiet just some local people crossing the border to go in the park but nothing noisy. Even Friday and Saturday night.

Nice campsite, we got it down to 350 P a night. The bathroom close to the campground don't work, but you can use bathroom and shower at restaurant.
Hope you like the music of the ice cream truck, because during the day it is a constant sound in the campground.
My husband and friends love this campground, little to busy for my taste.
We have ATT network, weak at the campground. Slow internet at the restaurant.
Last night they hosted a wedding at the hotel, loud music stopped 4am - music so loud it vibrated my bed.

Hotel very clean, friendly welcome. 30 soles for a room for 2 people, with private bathroom. Hot water, wifi. Place in a garage to put our bikes. there are plenty of other hostels in the same street, we did not compare prices.

we wanted to sleep here, but according to the neighbor, the hotel is closed on sunday ...

6 rooms with private bathrooms. Ac and tv. Hot shower. Double 325, single 165. 2 dormitories with 2 bathrooms, 90Q. free water and coffee. Restaurant. Free boat to Flores from 6am to 9pm.
I was allowed to park outside and use all facilities for 40Q. Very friendly owner.
