Beautiful sandy beach w/small dunes. Nice waves/surf. Small boats/fisherman in bay. A little closer to dirt road than we prefer, but good location for couple nights. Amazing sunset. Dolphins in the area!

Martin is a good guy I stayed 5 days here getting many small things done and changed my bushings. He has a engineer friend with a machine shop. Between the two of them they can make or repair and kind of brackets or bolts or whatever I’m guessing. I needed that because my truck is a 1971.

Side note. Uruguay is expensive. I’m sure the price was more then fair for the quality of the work. But because I was in Uruguay I think the price was higher. I don’t think he over charged me. That’s just how it is in Uruguay

He fabricated multiple custom brackets for me that are solid and make my life easier. If you have an idea of adding something or moving something around. Have a talk with him. I’m sure he can do it.

A really big shop with friendly staff. Only a very few speak a bit English. If possible ask for Victor, the Jefe Post Venta. He is very helpful. They are well organized and trained, but they don't have all spare parts available if the truck type was sold in Europe only and has never been imported to South America. They have a comfortable waiting room for customers with WiFi (vouchers with passwords available at the reception), coffee, toilet (officially for men only, but I also used it), good shower and a pesky and very loud TV. As we needed 2 days for the repairs, we got a good lunch on the second day in the canteen for free. We spent the night inside the area, which was very safe.

Very friendly people. We came at 6.30pm only and they were just closing their shop, but they filled our German bottle immediately using the American adapter. Pressure was a bit low, so we got only 8 liters for the 11 liter bottle. Price was 19.000 pesos.

Great location and cheap (100p/24h). Be aware that if you take the 24h deal, you can’t pay extra hours (10p/hour for the usual parking rate). If you leave late (even 1 min) the computer will charge you an other 24h fee.

Possible to stay a night, the parking area behind is very quiet at night. Hot and clean showers for 5 ap. WiFi doesn’t work.

jumbo is more expensive than lider at the avenue. Here are a complex with some shops, farmacie and fast food. Clean toilets. No showers.We slept here 1 night before visit the volcan.

Lol. 180 for everyone else. 200 for us because we had 2 motorbikes... still a good place with lots of friendly Canadians

DO NOT attempt to get here in anything bigger than a small van - we have a regular length ford transit and it was a nightmare to get in and out - AND the people weren't even there. Asked some neighbors and they said there were several other purificadoras in town but we ended up getting water where we camped at Finca Santa Monica (also not easy - read that review) Best bet - go up to any of the big hotels in town and ask them - supposedly there is a water place next door to one.

Nice campsite next to the pan, more the feeling off a wildcamp, clean logdrop and bucket shower! We enjoyed it a lot! We drove in from the north coming from Nxai South Camp and had to deal with very deep sand!

Nobody there so we left without a passavant. No problem also leaving the country to Cabinda.

Great boondock campsite with views of the wind farm. Minimal highway noise. Great sunsets!

They checked my hydraulic direction and exhaust gases, change filters. Quick service, serious, reasonable price.

Only tents and vehicles <19'. Can stay up to three nights per month. Reservations are required. No hookups, generators prohibited. Need to arrive by 4:30pm. Google their website to call for reservation.

nice hostal. very welcoming and helpful. you can easily walk to cheap restaurants, minimarkets or the centre. paid 10€/US$ 12/38 soles for 2 person with matrimonial and private bathroom, breakfast included. secure parking for 3-4 motorbikes. nice terrace to hang out with a little usable kitchen.

Nice place overlooking Bahia Manuela near an abandoned house and some permanent campers. The dirtroad to the bay is very washboardy but fine with any RV, the sandy track behind the house and further up the hill the to arch and sea lion cove was hard packed at the time of our visit but 4 WD is necessary.

Good place to stay for couple of days and organise things before coming back in the road. We went to a doctor which was recommended buy the manager and also to the good and reliable mechanic which is a friend of the accountant so the staff is very friendly and helpful. At Sunday there was great jazz concert, swimming pool is clean and quite big, but restaurant expensive (pizza 6.000mk, wrap 5.000mk). Beer 1000mk so the price like anywhere else. For triple room we paid 24.000mk (32$) which was the same price or even cheaper than dorm. Secure parking, skybound internet (but not available when we were there). Bus station just outside the gate to if you need any essential you’ll find them there. Laundry by piece- we paid 6000mk for big basket with all the dirty cloths from rainy Mulanje trek. Recommended!

Husky gas station with water and Sani-dump...great spot for quick stop

We arrived at the salar and on our way back out there are rangers telling us that this park is closed and ask us to leave very nicely. There were no road blocks. But it’s okay to visit the stone fingers

nice spot in the mountains, really calm and beautiful. visitors arrived around 10am for hiking, and when we left a bus was going up. wonderful mountains at sun rise and sun set.

we had a room in the other house in a different street. Dirty shower, very loud street for 60sol. The trash truck came at 11pm. We parked in the street, there was some security guy who wanted 5sol for watching. Would not stay again but I guess the other house would have been nicer. Usually they would charge 70 sol per night and shared bathroom. Breakfast included.

not sure if they really have a good price. only changed our transmission oil for 170 sol, we brought all parts and oil ourselves. But you can never be sure in South America about the price when you are a usual billionaire gringo ;-) they would have had even our filter, which is rare for a gmc safari?!

Beautiful clean beach and lodge. Excellent campsite with own ablutions and electricity - no sea view. Had the best crayfish ever in the restaurant - affordable.
