Nice big private campsite in the bush, elephants as guests just a meter away! They have 6 sites. Ablutions bit rustic for this price (250pp). The lodge is under reservation at the moment, building things up from the ground. But at the campsite you don’t notice this at all. Firewood provided.

We stayed here overnight in the tent but around 4 a.m. I was woken up by a young guy that zipped open the tent and was trying to pull my pants down to touch me (while my boyfriend was right next to me!), he took off running when we woke up. Not a nice experience, better don't stay here, especially women alone. Quite sure it wasn't a monk because he had hair, there seemed to be at least 3 young guys living there as well (next morning some were going to school). Nice temple though and friendly monk..

This propane refuel station is just North of the village of Silk Grass on the highway ("Southern Hwy") that connects Dangriga and Hopkins. It is on the East side of the road. It was open on a holiday sunday. We filled our standard BBQ sized propane tank for $27BZD ($5.40/Gallon). Nice guy. Look for the large white and red propane tanks and small white building on stilts.

We didn’t have a good experience here. They pumped up the price to a steep 150pp plus 80pesos for the car. We managed to get it down to 350 total and were promised a nice hot shower in return. Their worker would bring us the keys to the shower but he never did. The next morning he only came to collect the cash. We didn’t agree with the price, since we weren’t able to use the showers. The owner, who wasn’t even there and we had to talk to on the phone, would only give us 20p discount for not being able to use the shower and even told us they would call the police if we wouldn’t pay. Not worth its money at all, unless you like poor service, karaoke noise at night and a trumpet band in the morning, then you came to the right place!

Lovely place, can park the car on the beach, just 25m from the sea. Snorkling gear is available to borrow, and the reef is beautiful.
We had to pay €20 for 1 night, 1 car and 2 people, even though we said that just before is people staid for half that price.

We are traveling from north to south and wanted to go to Luxor from here. Here we found out that the road from El Qusier to Luxor was closed and had to drive back north to Port Safaga first. So do check road availability on forehand.

This is a hotel with cabins that provides a space to park also for a motorhome and even put a tent down a little roof. Their owner are really nice. You have bathroom and shower facilities. Right in front of the beach!! Not good for big rigs, small entrance .wifi avalilable. We paid the two of us and the van 15000 cops in low season. Pet friendly. Cabin prices from 60000 to 100000 cops with all services.

Tienen gatitos y aceptan mascotas. Los precios de las cabañas van de 60000 a 100000 cops.

Looked nice enough, but I wanted to leave my bicycle and bags to go for a hike and didn't feel comfortable doing that here, just because it was a very open area with people coming and going a lot. Seemed like it could get loud at night too. Mostly designed for car camping but there are a couple slightly more separated tent sites by the river that would work for cyclists. I went up the road to Camping La Encantada instead, more expensive but I felt better leaving all my things there while hiking.

a really interesting geothermal power plant with steam shooting out of the ground. this is the location of the power station and 3 km North on this road you will see three different ducts venting steam as well as a few other power grids. If you're on a motorcycle the ride over here is truly fantastic!

amazing ruins that are truly larger than Life. had a nice 2-hour hike around the archaeological zone and really enjoyed all of the rock pyramids. I got in for free because they said they were out of tickets... However normally it's 60 pesos

A GREAT FIND! Only open since January 2019. A bright, colorful, secure, modern, hotel directly on the Caribbean Sea. The view from our balcony was the sea. Boardwalk and cabanas. All the amenities of a modern hotel in America. A great place to stay if you’re in Corozal Belize. HIGHLY recommended.

Did the tour at 21h30, lasted around 1h45, all in Spanish, with a few English words! It was great, we were the only ones that evening. Very professional staff. We paid 4000 pesos pp. We also stayed the night. So peaceful, staff was OK with us staying. Amasing sky at night

Arrived on a Sunday. Many families using the lakefront. Found a spot very close to the “stables”. Stayed three nights. Also possible to pull down a short hill and park next to the river but check for sinkholes first.
This is a peaceful, flat place to spend a few days. Sounds of river. Short walk to town and famous Tuesday market. FREE!

Water was over by the un attached bathroom, relatively straight ahead when you pull in. Spigot took a second to turn on, at first we thought it wasn’t working. Ended up turning on and worked great.

big open grass area next to the lake with trees, shaded areas, fire pits, toilets and places to wash dishes. nice to have a swim.
owned by a Mapuche guy, was 7000 per car for camping and 5000 for day use. we were here on a sunday, seems like the place were families from the nearby villages hang out.
place has no signs (and no name) but you can see the place from the gravel road coming from Pucón, access via gravel road. people were drinking the water but I wouldn't :)
many (friendly) dogs on the grounds.
