I agree with the other comments: very interesting, clean and much better than you would expect of a free place.

Important: you are neither allowed to camp at the place itself nor anywhere within the park. The ranger will send you back and won't be very nice doing it. Take the wild camp on IOverlander about 11km away.

Beautiful spot. Very quiet. Woke up, walked a few feet and enjoyed watching the pelicans. Would definitely recommend this lovely spot.

A pleasant place, 9500CFA for room with a fan, 11500CFA for room with AC but electricity only starts at 7pm and is on until at least 11pm. Food available, lunch or dinner 3000CFA, there is a shop onsite. Not sure if there is WiFi. You can buy a SIM in a shop next door to Orange (if Orange is closed) but mobile data in Guinea Bissau is expensive.

Very nice, shall parking area next to war memorial, high up at 1150m and on a very very quiet road. There are no services, but it's a beautiful location.

The main road is rough, high clearance would be best if you plan to go very far in. There are orv trails all over so if you turn on one of those right away you are OK with lower clearance.

We spend 10 days here... we asked to plug our electricity and they charge plus 5 soles( big extension)... price is the same others are telling... shower is good and hot! We paid the adventure to uros Island with them and works everything pretty good, 100 soles, 3 islands, 1 night at one island with all food included... The tourism is not the greatest one, but for the price was a very interesting journey.

Belize to Guatemala:

Park car before getting to gate. A guy will want to exchange BLZ dollars to Quetzals....do not do it! Very bad rates. Enter building to pay exit tax 20Blz pp. Take receipt to get passports stamped at immigration. Exit the front of the building and go to aduana (when exiting, go past the bathrooms and enter where it says, ‘do not enter’). They want to see your permit was canceled...they didn’t check anything else for us.

Drive through gate...show receipt of exit fee and passports.

In Guatemala, a guy or two will guide you through the process...you can accept their help if you choose. But be clear with them if you don’t want their help. It was only a few Q tip, so not a worry.

Enter fumigation, pay at building (39Q) to the right after getting sprayed. Before paying, you will need to change Belizian to Quetzals. Do it here...we got 3.5Q to 1Blz and 7Q to $1US....don’t accept less.

After paying, leave vehicle there and enter building on the left. Get passport stamped, then go to aduana. You will need title, drivers licenses, registration and passport (or copies of each). They verified with the vehicle and gave us paperwork to take to bank teller to pay:160Q. Take receipt back to aduana and they give you the sticker for your car. Install in car, tip the helpers (if you choose), and you’re on your way.

The ‘helpers’ said there was a bridge payment, but there was none for us on Sunday at 3pm.

Entered at 5pm. If you arrive past 6, they said you cannot enter even if you have reservations. But we think they would let you in, but youd have to return to the entrance for you tickets.
We slept at Jaguar Inn.
We went about 6:30 next morning. A lot of people started showing up at 8am...and even more at 9am.

Don’t bother with sunrise tour. We also didn’t use tour guides and glad we didn’t. We heard several of them shouting “times up” for their group to keep moving. We were able to take our time.

Awesome place...best ruins we’ve seen.

Simple and cheap cabañas and rooms. There are 5 rooms in the main building and then there are around 10 cabanas a bit further back. All are very basic but fair for what you pay. 150-200 pesos depending on standard.

We paid 150.000 rial for our overnight stay (around 15 hrs). During evening/night time it gets quiet bussy - so we recommend a parking space closer to the ferry than town. We left around 6:30 am.

Lodge with separate campsite: shady places if your camper/ trailer is not too high. Sandy underground. Decent ablutions (showers were cold despite 2 handles). Braai. Wifi at the restaurant. 100 pula per night per person. Do take care where you put your camper: there are so many lights that it’s almost day light. Convenient stop over.

good place to spend the day at the lake. wouldn't recommend to stay the night at the parking. we did it a Sunday night and it was busy by locals getting their boat out of the water until midnight. if you sleep in a tent, there is a huge grassy spot directly on the lake. people spend the day on this grassy beach, no one at night. seems very nice for days without wind!

they didn't let us fill our water tank - said 50liters is too much. So we tried at every gasoil station of the town and also at the fireman without success. seems they had to pay the water at the end of the month.

Oh the places we'll go

Ok. So the RV Park no longer exists. It’s the firewood hotel and restaurant Very very nice people. We were at surfers inn but their power could not handle our A/C and with two dogs, we had to look for something different.
20$ / night. Expensive. But it was late in the day and had no choice
5 minute walk to Sunzal break.

Still plenty of room for big rigs but not a campground any longer. Don’t get much for $20. We only stayed 2 nights to get work done in the comfort of our AC and surf
