You can pay with card (not always work) in magraciones and you pay 7us instead 8us where ALL will tell you you should pay

We only stopped to take in the views, but agree, nice place to wild camp. Good breeze at the top of the hill and nice flat tarmac area to park your vehicle. Tent friendly and relatively clear of rubbish.

Prices «jumped» to 850 pesos for 2 + camper, too expensive... we were told Jan / Feb was low season and promotionnal price !! We tried to bargain without success and decided to leave, other places were better place (camping del rio, close to the bridge, 650 pesos for instance).

We checked only price after having a tour, it was 650 p for 2 + camper, but we felt too narrow sites for us, even if not so bad for one night.

As described, gorgeous sunset, lot of penguins and birds very close, well sheltered from wind, very quiet, picnic tables... very good spot but may be difficult to reach if it’s raining

Well, after parking we noticed that we parked exactly where the warning sign was placed. We went to have lunch at the Vegetarian restaurant across the street. We had a funny feeling so we check on the car every now and then. INDEED THERE WAS AN ORGANIZED GROUP TRYING TO BREAK IN. We caught them and managed to take a photo of one guy and complained to the police. They only damaged our car but could not open it so nothing was stolen. Still, we know their method now.

They saw us looking for parking and they had a pickup truck parked in a space which they evacuated as they saw us coming near. Of course we felt lucky enough to find it... They waited until we parked and left the car, then they drove away.
About 20 minutes after we left the car I went to see if evertythings ok. A guy spotted me approaching and hurried close to the car and started whistling. I saw two guys going around the car and walked past me supposedly talking on the phone. I managed to take photos of the whistler guy only. I called my bf to come out of the restaurant and waited on the main road, as the pickup truck that evacuated the parking spot came by me with those two guys that tried to open the car.
In retrospective, when we looked for parking there was one guy running to the pickup truck, but there was one guy already waiting in the parked car, which was sketchy... As if they hurried to let us park.
Anyway, we were lucky but.. PAY ATTENTION TO ANY SKETCHY PARKING, ESPECIALLY IF SOMEONE FREES A SPOT FOR YOU.
I added a photo of the whistler.

The good in the story - The staff of the Vegetarian restaurant were super nice, packed up our food to go, called the police and translated for us. The food was delicious!

We pulled in to check on showers. They are hot and free IF you buy gas. They are in a separate room to banos. Wifi in shop pretty good and there are outlets to plug in devices. We stayed the night parked on the right side of building (when facing) and wifi reached us. 3G cell.

Fabulous place. Recently installed a kitchen facility with sink, gas stove, refrigerator and basic supplies. Electric strong enough for AC at sites should be complete in a couple of weeks. There is one hot shower but cold feels good here. Tons of birds to be seen parrots, parakeets, aracaris if you are into birdwatching.

It’s a very nice and quiet place with best view to the sea. Very friendly owner ( German speaking ) and lovely friendly dogs will welcome you. We stopped one week there as the only guests on the campground. Good WiFi, facilities a bit basic but working, warm shower, washing machine, you can use the kitchen ...

Ancient ruins of the Hopi and Zuni pueblo tribes. Accessible via a 1 km dirt road. No 4x4 needed. The ruins were partly reconstructed in the 1930s.
You need to purchase a ticket (5 USD) at the Fort Apache Nohwike Bagowa Museum. That museum and the adjacent Fort are worth a visit. A ticket provides access to all three sites.

we arrived at 7pm and although the guard would let us go to Jaguar Inn, we'd need to come back at 6am here to buy tickets losing 40/50 minutes the next morning. We asked if we could stay overnight in the lot on the left to the entrance and the guard of the restaurant said OK and he is looking after the place during the night so it was safe, super quick to get tickets being the first in line and free

Una gran acogida por parte de Pablo y su esposa. Contamos con su ayuda de forma decisiva para resolver un cambio de neumáticos. Y, sin duda, para cualquier cosa que se precise.
Es genial encontrar lugares así en nuestros viajes.
