Glass and windshield manufacturer. We went here as no one in town had a windshield for a VW Kombi. They took out our windshield and used it as a mold for the new one. If you arrive early (8 am) they can get it ready the same day. 270 pesos for the full service.

Good spot to camp with a descent view of the lake below. Easy to get too also, 2wd's can make it easily. I saw a couple of pull offs to camp at on the way to this spot. It is pretty far walk to get to the water, daughter and i ended up not making it and turned around. So dont think your going to come here and swim or anything. Good verizon cell signal at this spot.

Beautiful rock formations, really worth a stop. For us it was a lot more interesting than the town itself
Nobody there to collect the entrance fee, maybe we got lucky

Amazing Ethiopian dishes - and at a very good price. We went 3 times whilst in Entebbe! A humble place, nothing flashy, but the food is great, and well worth the visit if you love (or haven’t yet tried) Ethiopian food. We paid about $5 for a big mixed vegetarian dish that fee both of us).

lovely access to the sea (rocky). toilet (dirty but here) and water tape. pit fire. some olivier for shadow in summer.
used by camper as campsite in the middle of the foot treck. So, unless the be here in the middle of winter, don't expect to be alone. But the place is pretty nice and the view is good.
The road from Kas is also very nice (nice viewpoints).

To be confirmed but probably much more crowded in the touristic season (you should arrive before 5pm if you want a flat place under the tree).

low LTE signal for phone.

Behind YMCA friendly guy Sergio to welcome you. We stay there because of facilities for few days, but showers and banos are very durty, and some garbage in the grass . is there somebody to clean here ? ok for electricity, wifi and safe and quiet at night. 25R$/pers. Some posto de gasolina are much cleaner....

Our 3rd stay here, very quiet just us, our friends and one other vehicle. Bit windy but were able to have a campfire. Spent a few hours chatting to Aziz from the nearby village who is very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the reservoir

As it was raining the last days, we were looking for a save place to camp, because all the places at a river or creek were not possible. So we found this place. It is at the left of ruta 40 coming from south. Its a big flat gravel area with view of the mountains. It is not really hidden, but ruta 40 is about 100 meters away, so it is not so loud.

We stood in front of the shop, right behind the Sem Stop kiosk and next to the auto repair shop. Our camper is hard top and with the noise from the highway and the air conditioner we hardly heard the external sound. It was very quiet. We used a 220v outlet that the attendant indicated within the auto reparo show.

As said below except not so huge as stated, and really noisy as close to a big avenue, price was 150 pppn and 200 p for the camper (considered as MH), so total 500 p...little expensive for what you get but not much option apparently in the city...

We arrived at about 11:30pm. It was dark out but we just slep beside the road in our RTT. It was fine. we toured downtown and visited the Cervzazeria we spent enough money so the free camp was a treat. The trailhead is right there so you can do a good little hike to stretch the legs. The lot was very dirty and truckers look to use it as a bathroom. It was gross watch your step. But for just a place to sleep it wasnt bad. We sure wouldnt cook there.

Wild, dispersed camping. Bring a shovel. Nice and quiet, beautiful views and you can walk to see some healthy Joshua Trees. Must have a permit to build a campfire. Decent Verizon coverage

If you’re wanting a lazy afternoon or morning in the countryside this would be a good stop. Road in is ok- potholes but averaged 20kph. Park before the bridge and wander along the mapsme dotted line footpath up to the cave. We came in rainy season (but beautiful clear day out) and had to zigzag quite a bit to avoid very muddy spots. Have to clamber over rock walls but the people don’t mind and know you’re going to the cave. The cave was pretty wet and slippery inside so wear good traction shoes (we had on sandals!) also bring a good powered light as it becomes pitch black. Cave keeps going a ways back if you’re adventurous! Picture of the door into the cave area and a picture from inside the cave. AMAZING stars at night.

Awesome view point and great place to stay. You can drive down the dirt road mabie 3-4 miles and there is an amazing view. We planned on staying a mile in at one of the various pullouts but it got really windy and started raining just as we went to bed... got worried it might rain all night and make the road difficult to go up so spent the night in the parking lot.

I drove here as a day trip from Huaraz with a motorcycle. From Marcará where you turn into the mountains it to me 2 hours to get to this point. I drove relatively quickly to make it back to Huaraz in time. Next time I would start earlier. 20km before this point is the mentioned gate. At first they said I couldn't enter, but then I waited two minutes and they changed their minds. Nice scenery, snow capped mountains around, only locals with cattle and a few mining trucks around. Road is tedious with a lot of big potholes filled with water. Motorcycles watch out for three tree log bridges with gaps in driving direction a few kilometers after Marcará.

Private property. We did not end up staying at this beautiful place because the owner politely asked us not to camp there. Pointed us to Rancho Santo Domingo. Your luck may vary.
