We spend 4 nights in this hostel.
No more than 3/4 vans in the yard.
But we really enjoy this place. All the staff is very cool, friendly, helpful.
Commons spaces confortable and bathrooms are clean.
Hot shower, kitchen for everybody.

Nice place to sleep, really save. Beautiful views of the lake. Quiet but a lot of cars on a Monday.

As described. Showers could be a bit cleaner but it was ok. You get 2min for 50 cents.

We have been pulled out and our car was searched for drugs and weapons for about 5 minutes. They also checked TIP for the car, license docs and our tourist card and passports.
They Cops were friendly and relaxed, even one cop showed us his Mayan tattoos 😁
After overall 10 minutes we were free to go. No bother.

Just happened to go to the Walmart because needed something and noticed an RV, people sleeping in cars, a pickup truck, SUV, a sprinter van and 1 transport truck. No signs saying "no overnight". So I stayed there instead of BLM campsite. Security going up and down lanes with lights flashes, all night. Overall was a good place to park.

There is a faucet you can access on the left when facing Pali's entrance behind a small white and grey building near the alley of delivery trucks. A german lady living here said the water from taps is drinkable in this part of town so we refilled our 70L tanks and cross fingers that we don't all get sick ;) free

Arizona Oasis RV Resort is an RV park that has RV spaces, tent sites and cabin rentals. It's right next to the Colorado River and has a family friendly atmosphere. There's a private beach on the River, a swimming pool/hot tub, clubhouse area with a laundry room and a boat launch.

Small walking track used by locals to access the river. There is a tiny clearing to set up a tent. Good for bikes and motos. Close to the road but won’t be seen at night. There is a mine down the end of the road so large trucks pass by from 0645. Hopefully the birds will wake you up first.

Good guys! They helped me fix a few small issues on my motorcycle. Lots of enduro bikes in the workshop, looks like the locals' favourite place to get their bikes fixed.

They charged 100 BOB for 1.5 hour of work.

Cool spot, accessible with 25ft RV. Little traffic, only locals taking out there dogs etc. Beautiful bird sightings, loads of species.
We had to move a little because of continuing flooding from snowmelt. Keep an eye on it and don’t get landlocked

Nice restaurant with a good menu for 15 bolivianos. We had a vegetable soup, meat with noodles and potatoes and a dessert. The owner is super nice and travels also by motorhome. Now he bought a VW T2 and was even able to help us with a mechanic problem! Recommend!

Here we got 40 L of gasoline 'Especial' for local price with factura in our jerrycans (150 bolivianos). Nice guys. We gave them a BIG tip.

Mercado with loads of restaurants selling 3 course lunch for ~2.5USD

Slept two nights. No issues. I have a van. No rv’s (that I saw ) in lot.

I slept last night there. The pullout is next to the highway but anyway in the night really quiet. Awesome view in the morning.

This Station is not closed...comment below is nonsense. Showers Free ( we got gasoline for 1000 ARS ), possible to sleep there one night. Network is eureka clientes, the key [Password removed by Moderator.] is still working. Parking in the backyard, not so noisy like at the mainstreet. And yes, the shower is f**** awesome!! Best Shower in the last 12 months.

coast very touristy site during the day, beaches heavily frequented by locals too it seems. changes around 7pm, overnight seems tolerated (even in shoulder season), stood with a handful of other campers on the upper parking

Whitewater Preserve is temporary closed for road repair (severe damage from storm Feb 2019). Hoping to reopen by September.

Showers available at College of Kinesiology Physical Activity. You have to pay for parking, unless you’re willing to look for a free spot and walk over. When we walked in, staff asked us if we had our cards. I told them that we weren’t students and we’re looking for showers and they let us in for free!

Pueblo petrolero con un lugar limpio y seguro para acampar, aunque a las 4am con la marea alta las olas llegaron hasta nuestra motocicleta pero afortunadamente no alcanzaron la carpa, antes de acampar si la arena está humeda, es mejor pernoctar en el parqueadero de la playa, allí hay kioscos donde se puede poner la carpa o hamaca bajo techo, y protegido de la marea.

Por 5 soles puedes ingresar al muelle, donde te prestan un chaleco salvavidas, incluido en el precio, para nadar con las tortugas, es una atracción sana, ya que las tortugas están libres, llegan a este punto por su propia voluntad para ser alimentadas por los pescadores, la idea es no tocarlas al nadar, aunque ellas sí te tocan a ti. Uno puede estar en el agua el tiempo que quiera, la ducha cuesta 2 soles.

Parked 24’ Class-C overnight. Plenty of room for RVs. No signs prohibiting overnight / camping or limiting to 4 hours as previous poster suggested. Low season. No one bothered us.

Dump station next to the the campground with drink water also.

Laundry and showers as described. Machines for normal loads (2.5$) and big loads (5.5$). dry machines (1.25).. showers 2$ for 8min.

We stayed here 2 nights. We have a big Mercedes Sprinter. Was tricky to find a almost leveled parking lot.
At the moment we arrived there was a guard. Unfortunately we paid him first and then he dissapeared and we never see him again. Just pay him at the end if you feel he works for it. This area is free parking. So don't worry if a random guy ask for money

Nice and grassy place. Shadow. Has 2 pools, large place with tables and banks. Barbecue lots. Right in front of the Costa Esmeralda Beach.
Showers, hot and cold. Place to hand wash clothes.
Electricity and water at sites.
We talked do Ivan and he made one night and 2 hole days for 220 pesos for 2 pearsons and our SUV and rooftent.
Very quiet. We stayed here at a monday and tuesday. Maybee at a weekend can be more noisy.

Entering Mexico from Guatemala. procedure:

1. cancelling TIP for Guatemala. easy procedure, officer looks at import paper and you return the sticker. you park right in front of it.

2. drive to immigration aprox 100 m further. get exit stamp. No exit fee.

3. drive to Mexican border. through fumigation which was 90 or 95 pesos.

4. then they seperated us which was a bit odd. I went to immigration and my partner went to park the vehicle, where aduana did a quick inspection of the car. nothing thorough.

5. fill out immigration card and pay at banjercito which is in the same room. 558 pesos pr person. keep the receipt as you need it when you exit mexico or you will have to pay again.

5. go a few blocks down town and get photocopies of vehicle owners passport, car registration and the newly made immigration card.

6. go back to banjercito, give them the photocopies and get the import permit. for our 2001 van it was 300 usd deposit + 51 for the permit itself. All payment can be made with credit card or cash.

the you are good to go! the whole process didn't take more than an hour or so. plenty of options to exchange money with locals.

There is parking with electric hookup next to Customer Service you can use when having work done on your rig. There is parking at the Winnebago Rally Grounds -- the "large grassy area" -- that you can use when here as a service customer or when attending an event here. There is also parking next to the WIT Club (across the road from Customer Service) where anyone can stay one night and WIT Club members can stay longer. There are electric hookups available in all locations. Dump and fill available on the Rally Grounds or at nearby Pammel Park.

Laundromat with 4.50$ for regular wash and 0.25$ for 4mins dryer. Wifi and washroom available

Centro de protección conservación y reproducción de fauna silvestre diversificada. First we thought this is the turtle place but I think that is a bit further up the road but the gate was closed when we came (not sure though as they have turtles here). general admission to see the animals is 40 for adults and 25 for children. It has turtles and alligators. we asked about camping and we were charged 200 and did not try to negotiate. you can park close to the beach and there is beach access from the property. but as our van was too tall to get under some cords we parked by the entrance. owners seem friendly. we are the only ones here. toilet and shower (not sure if warm or not) on property.
