had a good night here, very friendly people. campsite still under construction but grassy car park is fine to camp. they have great toilets, showers and a cooking/washing up area all open 24hr. security walking around at night. paid 230 baht national park entrance fee and no more.

Still a very nice place to be, the Doho Lodge. We had a bath at the hot springs, just wonderful. Nice food in the restaurant. Payed USD 15 per night, sleeping in our motorhome, no electricity. Relaxing place, nice people.

Nice location at the beach close to a little teahouse with picknic houses. It was ok for him that we spent the night here. In the evening a few locals picknicking in the morning some fishers, at night quite. A very dirty toilet and quite some garbage around.

Road side restaurant with very good food for a very acceptable price. Huge portions. No menu but a buffet. Very informal place where lots of locals go. It's open all week (except for Monday) but only on Sundays as of 1:00 pm this buffet is open. The other days sandwiches and pancakes are being served. Also possible to camp informal.

Here, there is diesel. 6000 soum per liter. At first the Guy don’t unserstand and don’t want to refill us. A man translate for us and after it’s ok !

nice outdoor onsen with view of (hopefully erupting) sakurajima. if there wouldn't be this glass barrier it would be perfect. 390 yen.

This is the only company that sells COMESA. We needed it in order to clear the car from the port, thats what the custom-department told us. Is very expensive: 100 dollars for a week or 3. So skip it and buy in in Ethiopia if possible.

Also, they’re new to the COMESA system, so they didnt want to give a COMESA for multiple countries, only for ethiopia.

Mixed feelings: couldnt get a lower price than 50 dollars a night (for 2 including breakfast). Even if you say Ken sent you.

Its one of the cheapest places in town, so you get what you pay for. Hotel is kinda rundown and not clean. Breakfast is very poor. Owners dont really care much and just watch videos on their phone all day.

Very fast wifi and nice location though, near the embassies, restaurants and beach. City centre is a long walk or 50 franc busride.

Price now 70 Bol pP, bit expensive for this place. WiFi works now faster, pool is usable with clean water. Toilets very modern and clean.
Highly recommend is the city tour with Gert, ask in the reception for him.

Parking area next to Romsdal fjorden & woods. Small parking area . Possible hiking from here. Did not stay overnight , only had lunch here , but would be a great quiet area for overnight

This is one of the best quality and most affordable camp site we have found in Kenya. We camped next to the water tower in our vehicle. There are campsites for tent and self catering cottages. Cost of camping was 500Ksh per person. You have to bay a once of conservancy fee of 3000Ksh per person as well. The facilities are clean and the staff are very good. Their is a kitchen that you can use, hot shower in some of the cottages. Good wifi at one of the cottages.

We asked and got the permission to park over night. Very quiet, we felt save. Wifi and restroom in the store.

Free no amenity camping with no time frame. About 5 miles down a gravel road. Clay road in park that wouldn't be great if it rained. Nice and quiet but not really established sites, some have fire rings and most don't. Basically just some pull offs from the main circle clay road circle. Road is a little washed out here and there and is best if you come into the park and go right.

We brought 16 kilo of “wishiwashi” and we could pick it up in 2,5 hours. Price is 600 Tenge (aprox 1,40 euro) per kilo. Really kind and curious Ladies. The’re looking forward to help more overlanders.

Yes! It is super simple and basic, but is perfect for the price if you just need a safe and quiet place to park, relax, make repairs, etc. Cristian and his family are super nice and welcoming and are trying to improve the place to bring a better experience to the traveler. Today they installed WIFI. Toilet next the house is always clean and with TP, shower still cold, without door and dirty (leaves, etc).

On sunny days the beach is beautiful.

Next to the highway so some noise during the day (your car will not be visible).

You can take a bus to downtown in front of the campground: 36 pesos / 1 hour, or faster ones in front of Geant Supermarket.

For BIG RIGS: the first entrance is wider and without trees and you reach a flat parking area big enough to easily maneuver a school bus.

No signs or anything - someone showed me this place with very bad weather coming up! Rooms, private or shared. Price negotiable - I payed 3000 tenge for a 4 beds shared room (which I had to myself), shared toilet and bathroom. Private room with sitting area and private bathroom was offered for 5000 tenge. Lots of parking behind gate; I parked my motorbike inside the garage. Wifi limited; little shop just around the corner. Seen from in front of the gate, it's the left white building with a little triangle on the roof. In case of doubt, ask around for Gostinitsa... with a bit of luck, someone knows it's there ;)

Great Truck stop to eat. They also have accommodations at 20.000 for 2 people. Clean, showers, basic; parking in the back yard. The “el barco” was closed.

After failing to make it to the other iOverland spot in the next cove over, we came here based on all the incredible reviews. Well worth the $14, we got a spot right on the water with plenty of space from our neighbors. Dogs loved swimming in the lake, we loved watching the sunset over the water... definitely the place to come if you’re stopping between Monument Valley and Zion.

We loved this place for it's big grassy pitches, great ablutions and cheap laundry. it was a perfect place to sort out our gear and pack up before shipping our truck from Durban. The rate is now R230 for 2 people per night but the wifi is free - available at the hotel or at the campsite. Recommended.
