It's a very nice place but not so easy to reach. 4x4 required for most of the areas. You should follow the tracks from the main road. It's difficult to get a place in shade and protected from wind as it's a flat areas but we were comfortable camping in there.

Camping in the Ball Valley 44.32363, 51.60234

This campground is built on a cliff, offering views of the ocean, and (weather permitting) a breeze. Grassy, reasonably level spots, electricity (both 110 and 220 V), clean bathrooms (suicide showers) throughout, swimming pool.

Kitchen area with covered seating, 2 stoves, 4 fireplaces, electricity, all spotless, including the pots and pans. (Frequent visitors tell us it's always this way.)

Access to the beach by just crossing the road.

Asking price was R$ 50 person per night. We paid 45, but I think 40 is possible if you book more than one night at a time.

Well it was new in 2018 but now it’s already showing signs of decay.
As usual they even bothered to clean it when it was new (still paint all over the staircase) immagine now.
Airco is long gone. You’re lucky the fun works! No mosquito nets and there are lots of mosquitos.
Hot shower is lukewarm.
Toilet didn’t flush properly.
Mattress is terrible as you can feel all the springs hence slept on the floor with my sleeping pad.
Dust everywhere.
Asking price is 500 and the guy wouldn’t bargain. O ther collegue that spoke English rang the manager and we agreed on 400.
Obviously no soap, no toilet paper and no towel.
There is a restaurant but no working not even some cold drinks.

Road side cafeteria with little mosque next to it and petrol station.
Food and cold drinks available. I’m sure there are beds around but I was here in the afternoon and only saw a couple of ones. I’d be surprised they don’t have more available stored somewhere.

Road side cafeteria.
Cold drinks (maybe because of the generator on during the evening.
Food available plenty of space to spend the night. Beds should be available but can’t confirm as I stopped to rest and have some food.

This is the best place to camp if you want to hike to the Shir Kuh. After the end of the tar road follow the gravel road up to the water cistern. No 4x4 need! Enough flat space even for trucks and nice places under trees a bit away for tents. Fresh water, very quiet and nice views.

Very nice spot by the lake. We parked our van at the right after the entrance where the tables and fireplaces are. It seems to be private, but nobody asked or charged us. In the evening horses were around. In the morning we had a lot of curious cows inspecting our campervan. 😁 And there was a dog which had a wound and smelled really bad. But not dangerous. He slept under our van and protected us.

This road is so beautiful! After coming from the Atacama Desert it was really refreshing to see a lot of green. It‘s very narrow, curvy and overgrown. Was no problem with our small campervan, but it could be exhausting with a big rig - if the police let‘s you pass through the checkpoint.

The road is mainly rocky (big ones I mean, not normal ripio). Average speed 20km/h. Our Fiat Ducato 4x4 could do it but we prefered to go back.

acceptable spot to park. someone said there is a road but it's only a small sandy area by the route. Pretty quiet even though it's next to the road and almost invisible. good for one night.

Came here due the circus circus RV was closed. Well fitted parking with new facilities (bathroom/shower/coin laundry), full hookup on each site. Paid 19 Dollars for a 19 feet motorhome. Check in at hotel reception, they ask about the size of your truck but do not check it. Nobody cares about. Parking itselfs is next to the Highway means it is a bit noisy at night and we didn‘t see any security at any time. Don‘t expect a nice park, it‘s an ugly asphalt parking, like everywhere in LV. 10 minute to the strip by car.

There is no height restriction on the southern entrance, and it’s straight-in access. Plenty of room for big rigs.
Yes, friendly folks and good trails up to 9 km. Absolutely no cell connection or internet, but totally quiet at night; well, aside from the sparsely traveled road. Good place to be if you want to avoid the weekend racket.

beautiful spot right on the water. Easy walk into town.
Can use the showers attached to the marina if you ask nicely at the tourist information for the code. Also WiFi you can pickup from the marina, and the kind harbour master will give you the code with the appropriate bribe!
