We went there on a Saturday night and found a big building with closed metal gates... we don’t know if the restaurant exist anymore...

Marina parking lot, stayed 3 days and two nights in a pop-up camper. Absolutely no problems. Two blocks walking to Starbucks and Safeway for restroom use. Surprisingly quiet at night. Easy access to all of Vancouver by bus - Safeway sells transit passes for 8 CAD for unlimited day. Easy walk into Stanley Park and to harbor cruises.

Left our big ford transit camper here for 3 days and booked a hotel on the island. Came back late to the mainland and slept in the lot on the 4th night. Unlike the other comments, there is a gated lot across the street that can fit rigs like our and bigger. Maybe even upwards of 30 feet long no height restriction. Perfectly safe place to leave your rig! Paid 5$ per day since we were considered big. Usual price still 3$.

this is a beautiful mostly quiet spot. the only disturbance we had was a pickup that drove past in the middle of the night blasting music, honking their horn, folks shouting and driving all over the road, annoying but it was a Friday night I guess. other than that, this spot is beautiful and otherworldly. look up the BLM listing for the water just down the road.

Lots of available camping out here. 1) please pick up your garbage and carry out you feces. Dogs too. 2) Plenty of places to camp that aren't trail heads where other people park to Mtb, run, hike or ride their motos. Explore, high clearance vehicles with good tires can get up most of the roads where there are better and more private campsites.

Terribly noisy campsite and stuck right between 2 mosques and a nearby disco. But otherwise conveniently positioned in town. Kids loved the playground though. Ablutions clean/nice but showers cold when there. Decent staff.

Still the same - you have to pay in time first. Filled (in fact over-filled) our SA CADAC cylinder. Luckily I had a scale and jet out some gas. Very efficient guys.
By the way, anywhere in East Africa, you could get butane or propane or a mix. If pure Butane, this can be a problem as it flows slowly when cold and therefore does not burn well in the cold.

indeed a cool place. There are tracks going around the city. The ruins itself are just that: nothing more than ruins. Its cool to walk around for 20 minutes but then you have seen everything. Still really cool place to sleep overnight.

Little gas station next to the Kichibougouac National Park. You can refill your water tank if you ask ! Nice people !

Good place to sleep. Music and good ambiance from 6:30 to 8:30, a lot of (old) people but nice vibes. All you can eat fish restaurant, very clean public toilets.

Very nice waterfall with a small sandy beach.
The road to go there is not easy and bit tricky as it raines a lot the last months. We took a tour with Kaleidoscope agency for this spot and the condor hike the same day.

Totally into the wild spot above Chibit village with stunning view on the valley. Cross the village towards south and take a track which leads up on the mountain. It is quite steep but I think drivable with a 2wd, if dry though. Then you will have to turn right in a meadow to get there. Good trails for hiking or mountain biking around. For once there is no trash, so please leave no trace!

Road not the worst but far for being the best because of the last months rains. Dirt road with holes so not recommend if it's rainy. Very nice views.
The hile is very nice, saw 3 condors pretty close actually very impressive. It took us 4hours to go the top and come back. The views over the mountains and valley are beautiful

You can cook on the island your own food.

Muy bonito lugar. Luis y Gaby nos recibieron muy amablemente..son una familia q ha viajado mucho y que realmente nos dio mucho gusto en conocer,. Está a 10 minutos del aereopuerto internacional y cerca de la ciudad de San José. Nos dieron todas las comodidades para el motorhome y el uso de su predio como piscina , barbacoa etc. Excelente lugar !!

A quiet place right by some dunes in the forest.

Boszhira Valley is an incredible place were you need to discover if you are in Manggystau Peninsule.
It could be nice if you can sleep there, to enjoy the sunset and the sunries.

$2 showers here for non-campers, water bounced between hot and cold but overall good

Absolutely perfect rest stop. Bathrooms with water fountain, great views of the bridge to Astoria, relatively minimal traffic late at night, other vehicles were quiet. No complaints!
Perfect place for one night; don't let the name dissuade you.

This Walmart accommodates overnight camping with car and RV. Some RV seem pretty well camped out for awhile with levelers and disconnected trailers. Not a 24 hour Walmart though

stayed in the parking lot of this place for a few days. was never harassed or asked to leave. open and free hi speed wifi.

Back country camping overlooking the lake. Possible to drive on the lake. Lots of spots. Beware sometimes the locals will use this spot to party.

We stopped here for the night on our way from La Paz to Rurrenabaque.
The village is very calm and the spot is far enough from the main road.
There are public toilettes and showers for 1BOB.
We visited the very small restaurant at the corner nearby - pollo con arroz.
We felt safe.

This isn’t allowed by local bylaws. A bylaw officer woke me up and gave me a ticket and I had to leave immediately
