The spot was amazing! The view is great, the camp is really nice, restroom, picnic table and firewood. Someone from the park came to ask us if we needed some and helped some big ribs to park. You have a trial just near by (but careful she told us she saw a Grizzli!) 20$ the night, self registration.

Walmart
It only says no overnight parking for trucks, so cars and vans are ok.
I'm not sure if big rigs are considered as trucks?
Couple of other campers here as well.

Road must be improving; it took us an hour and 20 min to get from San Cristobal to the bridge. It’s rough going, but doable. Google maps time estimation was spot on.

Nice campsite on the edge of the National Park. as stated before, 5GEL for a night. Very friendly man comes and collect the money. Small river nearby.

Very quiet and green, right in nature.

Also got our extention for 15 days in 2 minutes. They still ask for the 100 somoni. We said that they told us at the border it was free. The guy made a sad face and put the stamp in slow motion on our paper but still only took a couple of minutes.

We were able to fill up directly into the tank for local price after a short talk with the lady. First she wanted us to pay 5 bob/liter but I told her we didnt have enough cash on us, what was true. Gave her a big tip as a thank you.

20s per person for Llámac, 15s for Pocpa 4km down the road. You pay whether you drive or walk through the villages. Another 20s per person when you reach the lagunas. Gringo cajero automático...

We parked in Pocpa in the street for 4 days for free while we hiked. We didn’t have any trouble when we returned.

Awesome pizzeria on the corner of the square. Also serves corona with a lime! We feel that some reviews have been a bit overzealous since our time using iOverlander, but this place really is great no matter what your budget (20s for fairly large pizza).

25 acre art installation mainly consisting of rock, concrete and porcelain. Similar style to Gaudi in Spain. Well worth a visit, one of the most interesting things we’ve seen on our trip! We spent a few hours here, on a nice cool day you could easily spend most of the day here. 20 rupees to park a car, 30 rupees per person for entry. Prices on signs, so can’t be ripped off. Open 9-6:30/7:30 winter/summer.

Great veterinary, took our dog here because she was losing weight. He was very friendly and cheap. Our dog had a respiratory infection so he gave her a shot and antibiotics. $10 in and out in 30 minutes. He didn't speak english but was very patient with us.

Medium-sized place, at hwy 93. Pricey, but we needed some comfort. Laundry, good wifi, cable tv, pool. Very good and spotless clean restrooms. We payed: 2 adults, power+water, $47. Well kept place. Seems to be relatively quiet.

Awesome RV park right on the beach. We were here in off season and were the only campers. They also rent cabañas with A/C. Surprisingly clean and tidy bathrooms with cold showers (with the heat, hot water not needed) accessed with a key, cleaned daily. WiFi only near the office, slow, but usable. Standard RV hookups were great to run our A/C. Steps away from a wonderful, calm beach. Great seafood restaurant if you hang a left when entering the beach. Town is cute but veeery quiet, stock up before you get in if in low season. Really nice hosts. Bugs not a problem here. We looked at other parks in the area and this was the best option. Paid $345 pesos per night for two people and our van with full hookups. Recommended.

Really nice food in a big resort. Grill in an open kitchen. Large portions. Main 150-200 ZMW.

We parked in the parking lot rather in the “drive way” as the clearance was low for our Transit. Had no issues. Level parking. Some road noise but not bad. Epic spot down the trail for photos or to just walk along the beach. Headed back down in the morning for a walk through all the rocky structures. Incredible.

This spot is great.... you can stay for 5 nights for free.... There are only 5 camp sites... but there is a day use area and we were allowed to spend the night there.... I set our tent up right next to the stream.... Very friendly campground met a couple of the regulars and they made our stay a lot of fun...

This is a hostel a few km north of Famatina. Marcelo Is a paragliding instructor and it's a flying hostel but open to all. There is plenty of level-ish ground to park up, a power point if you have a long cable, potable water, and you can use the hostel facilities (kitchen, BBQ, bathrooms with hot showers, WiFi, common room, etc. I paid Ar$250 per night with basic breakfast to park up. I don't know the cost of the dorm beds or private room. Very nice, friendly people. Colo and Guri Cook communal meals for a reasonable price. Great as a place to stay if you are a paragliding pilot, or just passing through on the way to Mexicana mine estación 9, Chilecito, etc.. 4 cool dogs so also pet friendly.

Apart from those annoying people who cruise in with their music thumping so loud it could shake my car it was a great stop. (Don’t think they realise people do sleep at these places!) Washrooms serviced in the morning, nice and clean.

Five-Star campground on the quiet lake. Great facilities and camp spaces. It was an awesome spot to stop on our Superior Circle Tour trip, even though it wasn’t on Superior!

Nos quedamos acá una noche en este viaje, pero ya lo habíamos hecho en viajes anteriores, sin ningún inconveniente. Es un poco ruidoso.

Little plaza with a nice grassi area where you can park and sleep. Quiet neighborhood, you can hide yourself from the road, there's some pines, nice spot! We felt very safe, only the birds singing in the morning!
