It’s only a good place for one night. The surrounding isn’t charming like other places we had at rivers before. But surprisingly quiet even though the city and the main road is really close by. We only stayed here because we wanted to visit the mausoleum in town.

This location is an awesome spot just off the highway. We pulled in last night around 10pm and parked our 40ft rig right up alongside the picnic bench. One other RV pulled in not long after us but barely noticed them. When we woke up this morning, there was a semi truck and one other car parked in the circular parking area. Everyone had their own space. The view is gorgeous and the traffic barely noticeable at night. I’d definitely stop here again! I’m guessing you could probably stay a few nights but very likely cops patrol the area and might say something if they see the same rig parked here multiple nights. It’s 12:30pm and we made reservations at an RV park in Carson city and we’re having a hard time leaving here because it’s so nice! Gorgeous weather right now too!
Dropped 1/2 star mainly because of proximity to highway.

I liked this place a lot. I stayed in a two bed room which was small but absolutely fine, was private and had window with mountain views. Hosts very helpful. Younger members of family speak excellent English.

Nice Place, very quiet at night, very nice view, shore of the lake a bit muddy but possible to swim, water clear. The place is easy accessible also with big rigs each size.

Still 600 Pesos for a room (1 or 2 people), 750 for 3. Very dark and depressive place. Breakfast is NOT included! (Although you can order breakfast and pay extra). We arrived very tired after cycling over 130kms in the heat and stayed for one night. Okay if you only want to sleep. If we would have been less tired we would have looked for a different place right away. Since we wanted to spend an offday (and another night) in Las Lomitas we moved to Hotel Eva for the second night. Hotel Eva was MUCH better.
Wifi did not really work (very bad connection).

Google maps didn’t show what road to turn on. Coming from the north, the left hand turn was about 1/4 mile before the spot where it looks like you would turn if there was a direct/completely straight road leading to the spot. It’s pro easy to see during the day, more challenging at night.

Nice spot. There were 20 or so other campers in sight but very spaced out and a ton of room. I had good Verizon signal and sunrise was pretty.

There were lots of Overlanding vehicles staying at this quiet part of the beach. No facilities/bathrooms/infrastructure but great free option and only 10 min walk to center of town.

Nice campground with partial views of the lake, but trains go by late into the night and are loud enough to wake me up, and I’m a heavy sleeper. Beautiful area and would be a great spot if you have a boat as there is a boat launch next to the campground.

We paid 5000cop for 1 night. Lot of persons during the Day but noone at night. It is not a campsite. It is a parking. You have à small Road passing just in front of you with motos since 5am... Better to go to national Park parking

As described. A little off the beaten path and the fill station can be difficult to access during busy times. But we just waited for cars to clear out and we backed up to the hose.

Very cozy restaurant with nicely decorated interior. The food is delicious and staff very friendly and speak pretty good English. There is a cool bar inside with a lot of different beverages! We went there three times while our stay in Tbilisi. Can really recommend it. Also not to expensive!

Lots of dispersed camping in Brown’s Creek. Most of it is directly off the road, which can have a decent amount of traffic. But some sites are a bit off the road.

Trees are tall but not incredibly dense. Basically the only water source is Little Brown’s Creek right next to the trailhead. Campsites on either side of the trailhead, but a lot of the ones on the southern side are on a rougher road with less trees.

Large daytime parking area and toilets at trailhead. Hike to waterfalls is about 3 miles and 1,000 elevation gain. Continue up another 3.5 miles and 1,500 feet elevation gain to get to the lake. Can backpack in the area and park at trailhead.

We stayed at the parking closest to the river, at the south of the island near the soccer fields. Toilets opened at 8am. Clean toilets, security passed by in the morning and waved. Very easy spot and would recommend to others. If you arrive early or leave a bit later, you can take a walk around the island using the trail. Suitable for larger vehicles as well.

Very nice place. 1250Ksh per nigth both.
The owner is living there sonif you call him it is possible to stay there for several nigths.
Meal and other things are very expensive. We paid 130$ for two nights with breakfast and dinner. The food was good but expensive looking that you eat that at your own campsite and they charge you as you were in a restaurant. So it’s better just to go there and enjoy the place and if you are going to eat or some thing ask the price

Yes, decent spot. We came in Friday, so a bit busy. But everybody leaves at night. The road is a bit noisy in the afternoon, but at night quite. Very friendly staff, lot of shade.

What a great and relaxing stop after the long road from UB. Olga and family + Lucas are fantastic hosts and the camp is getting up lovely. For now only a common gher, toilets, showers and banya. Loved the fact that is a bit outside the city but easily connected. Great sunset and sunrise. Would be back!

This is a wonderful camp ground off the main roads. Met by a very cheerful host and hostess late at night. Only campers in the camp ground and beautiful and quiet with great sun rise and sunsets. Friendly animals in the yard. Close enough to sites in Verdun with easy driving the back roads. Definitely recommend this site.

One of the easiest border so far. Exit from Nicaragua took about an hour due so many people leaving at the same time (A few bus with tourists in their way to CR ) but also Nica employees are soooo slow.
In CR side didnt take even half hour. Go to the building in your left hand side , stamp your passport and then cross the street and they will inspect your car. Really quit. I also have a dog and the lady from IPSA Costa Rica didn’t care a lot. I didn’t pay the fee for the dog bc the bank was closed but they will stamp you the entry anyway . She is not an evil after all !!! lol
